There is a powerful argument to bring the atheist to the line of spiritual knowledge so that the social evils can be controlled since atheists are also part of the society. Such powerful concept is 50-50 probability. I have not shown the existence of the hell, where the sin is punished in this universe. But, the atheist also has not shown the absence of hell in this infinite space. In this state of situation, there is 50-50 probability of existence and non-existence of God. The hell may exist because the atheist has not taken Me to the boundary of the universe and established the absence of hell. I also could not show the existence of the hell in this space and hence, the hell may not exist. In such case, the wisdom advises to believe the existence of hell to be on safe side. Some people say that there is fire and some others say that there is no fire in the path ahead and the walker is blind. If the blind walker is wise, he will take the probability of existence of fire from the 50-50 probability and go back. By going back, nothing is lost even if the fire is absent. By going forward, the leg may burn if the fire exists. Similarly, based on this concept of 50-50 probability, if the sins are not done, there is no loss even if the hell is absent. Moreover, in the absence of sin, there will be no stress and one can live with full mental peace and confidence, which are the foundation for happiness. If the sins are done and the hell is present, the punishment is terrible in the hell in addition to the tension in this world. By this concept, you can control the sin in the pravrutti at least in the case of an atheist. This 50-50 probability about God also initiates the atheists to do intensive analysis regarding God and hence, the nivrutti is also attained. In this way, you can maintain the balance and purity of the society without any sin even though atheist exists in the society. |
The birthday celebration of your child should be later on and should be done by others and not by the parents and relatives. When this child grows and does some permanent benefit to the society, its birthday is celebrated by the society. Christmas etc. are performed by the society. You should not celebrate your own birthday, which will be like self-praise. Similarly, you should not celebrate the birthday of your child which is like praising your own child. I do not understand why the parents celebrate the birthday of their child. What is the greatness of the child that is expressed in the childhood itself? Or, is it for the great act of producing a child? Even animals and birds produce children. The parents should get the real happiness of the celebration of the birthday of their child by the society in future. If this angle does not exist, you can celebrate the birthday of the child in the angle of real worship to God and getting blessings from the real devotees. One of these two angles should be present in the birthday celebrations. |
God is not polluted in any way by becoming the human incarnation A devotee said “People have developed surprising logic to support human incarnation! People say that God enters the humanity in the form of a human being to know the problems of human beings. The omniscient God can know the problems of humanity even without such entry”. Answer: I wondered at this statement. Who are the people, who developed such surprising logic? Nobody said like that. You yourself developed this laughable logic and you yourself condemn it! If you want to beat some body, call him as dog and then beat him since he is dog according to you! The devotees wanted to see, touch, talk and live with God. All these desires are secondary only and are accomplished while serving the primary purpose, which is to come in human form to preach and clarify the correct spiritual knowledge directly. While serving the primary purpose, the secondary works, which are the above desires of devotees, are also fulfilled. The unimaginable God is invisible to even your imagination and therefore can never become visible to your eyes. He is always unimaginable since He has no spatial dimensions. Such state of God maintains the greatest and highest status. Since, such God is never modified to become any imaginable item of creation, His highest dignity was always maintained. The human incarnation does not mean the modification of God into human being. The human being is only an extra medium or house for God to stay to accomplish the divine primary purpose of preaching the true spiritual knowledge. The human incarnation does not mean also God staying in human body(only human body without a soul). It is only a visit of king to the hut, while the owner of hut (the soul=Son of God) also exists along with the king (God) to serve him and get his grace. Veda says that two birds live on a tree and one bird is shining without eating while the other bird is eating the fruits (Dvaasuparnaa……). This means that God has nothing to do with the fruits of the deeds of the human being while He stays in that human body. The insult of Parashurama ( a previous human incarnation in which God was present) was the fruit of his own ego and God in him has nothing to do with it. Therefore, God is neither transformed in to human being nor even entangled with the fruits of the human being, even though He stays along with the human being in His human body. The king has nothing to do with the crimes of the owner of hut, since the king stayed in it for some time. In fact, the king himself is going to punish the owner of hut for his crimes. God staying in the body of Parashurama only punished Parashurama for his ego. Therefore, the God is not polluted in any way by becoming the human incarnation. God remains impartial to every human being and will not spare even the human being associated with Him in the human incarnation. Of course, the human being in the human incarnation will be separately rewarded for his service to God. A student will be given gold medal for his excellent performance in the examination but will not spared from the disciplinary action for his wrong behavior. The human being in the human incarnation is as good as any other human being in the world either in the case of reward for his service or in the case of punishment for his sin. The sin will never be excused by the prayers or good deeds, which will have separate rewards. Ravana was rewarded with miraculous powers for his worship and penance. But, he was punished by God for his sin towards Sita separately. www.universal-spirituality.org Universal Spirituality for World Peace |
Even the salvation and kivalyam (Salvation means cutting the bonds with everything and everybody other than God. Kaivalyam means formation of the single highest bond with God. Both salvation and kaivalyam are essential) become useless, if you aspire them for the sake of your becoming God. You should aspire these two only to serve God and then only it is called as Nivrutti. Shankara included both Iham and Param (for this world or afterworld) in Pravrutti only (Ihamutra phala viragah). He included even the salvation in Pravrutti only, if it is towards selfishness, and discarded even such salvation (Namokshasyaakaankshaa). Even the Kivalyam is for the service of God only and not for selfish enjoyment according to Shankara (Eswaraanugrahaadeva..). Therefore, selfishness limited to yourself and your family members is the only dirt that can pollute anything. Sacrifice is the detergent that can clean this dirt. But, in the initial stage selfishness cannot be avoided and it is precipitated in the soul from millions of births. Therefore, in the first stage this selfishness of the souls is exploited to create the basic interest in God. Hence, Veda introduced the methods of worship (Yajnas) linking to this selfishness by introducing the fruits to the worship related to Iham like conquering enemies, achieving kingdom etc. The fruits related to Param were also in the same line like enjoying the pleasures in heaven. All this is the first phase called as karmakanda. But, in due course, Veda slowly leads the human beings towards realization of spiritual knowledge giving more details about God so that the soul can slowly enter Nivrutti. This is the second phase called as Jnanakanda. The rituals in karmakanda are called as sacrifice (yajna) but the word sacrifice there is not related to its actual meaning. The word sacrifice is applied in its real meaning only in Jnanakanda, where you are preached about the sacrifice to be done for the sake of God. This sacrifice is based on the value given to God by you. Therefore, the important point is not to search for the actual form of God, but to develop the sacrifice for the sake of God. The search for God does not give you anything. The sacrifice for God brings the full grace from God. The search for God is theoretical, where as the sacrifice for God is practical. You have to learn sacrifice through a training given in the world itself before you prove it before God. Therefore, the first step to learn this sacrifice is to develop practical sacrifice by helping the deserving co-human beings, who should be devotees of God. Leave the worship of God since it is useless as long as you center it on your selfishness. Try to learn sacrifice by helping the deserving devotees and once you are perfectly trained in this sacrifice, God will come to you in human form to conduct a test on you so that you will stand as example for other devotees. Therefore, you need not search for God. God Himself will search for you and meet you, once you are fully trained in the sacrifice by eradicating your selfishness. |
Ans. A diabetic patient cries before a doctor to get a sweet for eating. The doctor has infinite number of sweets and he does not worry at all for giving a sweet to the patient. You are crying before God, who is the divine father (creator of all the souls) to give some wealth or to solve some problem. If He helps you, there is not even a trace of any personal loss to Him. Neither His wealth nor His power is finite and nor His love to souls is limited. The only factor that guides Him is to see the future position after the help. If your eyes are to climb the roof of your head after the help, God will keep silent. After the help you will fall down even from your present level and then you will cry again before the same God to lift you up. If the doctor gives you the sweet, the level of sugar may go up and the emergent treatment is also the responsibility of the same doctor. Hence the doctor will not give you the sweet. If the doctor is confident of your health, he may give the sweet. Sometimes the doctor gives the sweet and conducts the emergent treatment to show you the truth, if you are scolding the doctor to be unkind. The response of the doctor lies on his analysis of the situation and it is not the subject of the patient at all. You must have the faith in the doctor (God) that any response is for your good only and you must know that the patient is ignorant of his own real welfare. |
The actual aim of the function is also lost and other unnecessary aims are linked. The real aim of the marriage function is that the priest (Acharya) called as Brahma or Vasishtha explains the couple through the Vedic hymns, the co-operation between the husband and wife to succeed in the materialistic life, which is the basis for their spiritual effort. The main goal is the co-operation between the husband and wife in the spiritual effort to achieve the grace of God before the end of this human life. The explanation of this concept through Vedic statements makes the ritual a class of preaching (Jnana Yajna). But, today neither the priest nor any one there is aware of the meaning of Vedic hymns. The priest reads the Vedic hymns like a tape recorder and nobody there is bothered about the Vedic meaning. Since, the main goal is lost, unnecessary goals have taken over the charge of function. The unnecessary goals are: exhibition of egoistic show of the crowd, exhibition of financial status through the level of expenditure, receiving gifts for giving feast as a reciprocating business, finding faults with each other (both the parties of bride and bridegroom) etc. The parents and the couple become interested in the crowd of people surrounding them with praise and greetings, since they never had such opportunity in their life by way of some special achievement. They satisfy their psychological interest for fame by this way! They are unaware of their own weakness due to lack of self analysis! You must do some great work for the society and the people should surround you with greetings in spontaneous way. www.universal-spirituality.org Universal Spirituality for World Peace |
You think that a person is very good because of his nice gentle character. There are cheats who are very soft and nice. There are very good and sincere people with rough character. A soft person may be selfish and a rough person may be sacrificial. The Lord cares only for one bad quality, which is the selfishness. He neglects all the other good qualities. A selfish person with all good qualities is like a gold cup with salt water. We pay for the material in the cup and not for the cup. A cruel person with excellent sacrifice is like the earthern cup containing nectar. Lord Siva gave salvation to the hunter for his sacrifice but not to the selfish sacred priest. Thus we do not distinguish the real good and the real bad. The analysis of the Lord is completely practical and true and is completely different from our analysis. Regarding the problem of your child I advise you to stop worrying about your child. You worry about the work of the Lord and do not think about your problem. In such case your problem disappears in a fraction of a second spontaneously. As long as you do not put attention on your family and concentrate on the Lord’s work, the Lord will take the responsibility of your entire family and in such case the help to your family is unimaginable. If you concentrate on your family leaving the Lord, your problem will grow more and more. If you concentrate on the Lord and your problem equally, your problem gets partially solved. Now you have to choose one of these alternatives. |
The psychology of the people is to get attraction towards the things, which are far and to get detached from the things, which are very close. Infact, this is the general psychology of souls and even angels are not exceptional as said in Veda ‘Paroksha Priya ivahi devah pratyaksha dvishah…’, which means that even angels like any item, which is far and dislike any item present before the eyes. This is the reason for God keeping us in close association with worldly atmosphere and to keep Himself far from us. Whatever God does is always meaningful and we criticize God without understanding Him in depth. You should always be closely associated with the items from which you want detachment. You should always keep yourself far from the items on which you like to maintain your attraction. When the item existing away from you becomes closely associated, your attraction towards it starts diminishing. This is the reason for the repulsion towards the contemporary human incarnation, which exists before your eyes. Similarly, the reason for attraction to past human incarnations and the energetic incarnations of God related to the upper world is that these forms are not before your eyes. Sage Vasishtha says that it is better to be far from worldly atmosphere to get detachment from it. You may think that this contradicts the above statement regarding human psychology. But it is not so as it is clear on sharp analysis. The statement of sage Vasishtha does not apply to the stage of leaving the family permanently. His statement should apply to a temporary period of meditation on God in the case of a householder. The householder gets real detachment from the family being close to the family. Now he wants to concentrate on God for sometime. For this purpose, he should leave the house and go to a lonely place and meditate upon God for sometime. He can meditate upon God in the atmosphere of the house. Therefore, one should leave the house for a short period to concentrate on God in a lonely atmosphere as said in Gita (Vivikta Sevi…). But if one leaves the house permanently and goes to a forest for meditation upon God, everything fails. The concept of leaving the family forever brings tremendous attraction on the family in the mind leading to failure of meditation upon God. Therefore, the statement of Vasishtha in Yoga Vasistha should be taken for a short exit from the house and not in the case of permanent exit. |
The essence of all the religions is one and the same since the Universal God gives it. The religions are different from each other because the religious leaders who are the human beings create the material that surrounds the essence. The skeleton is one and the same and there is no difference in the skeletons of the human beings. The difference lies only in the external materials covering the skeletons, which are flesh, skin etc., in these external materials differences arose due to deficiencies. Suppose there are two students. One is weak in physics and the other is weak in chemistry. Each student mocks the other for the deficiency. Therefore, the deficiency is the root of difference and quarrels in the religions. The reason for the deficiency is the human brain that developed the external body of the spiritual knowledge. Therefore, the spiritual knowledge is the skeleton and the religion is its body. The deficiency in a religion can be removed by taking the merits of the other religions. Every religion has deficiency and the rectification of that deficiency should be from other religion without any ego and jealousy. Do not think that you are without defects. Do not think that your parents have no defects. Do not think that your teachers and preachers do not have defects. Therefore, observe others and take the merits from anybody without prejudice. The blind thinking that your nation, your state, your district, your town or village, your caste, your family, your parents, etc., is the best or highest should be eradicated from your brain. Always base your self on your analysis and commonsense that is observed from the examples in the world. Your elders might have polluted the scriptures but this world is the best scripture written by God. This world-scripture is Universal without any color of any religion. You can develop the entire spiritual knowledge by observing this world and the scientific knowledge existing in the various examples or items of the world. Any human being cannot pollute these. You must be scientific and analytical in your belief. The ignorant and clever religious elders always exploit blind belief. |
The Sadguru (teacher of true knowledge of God, who is also a human incarnation of God) gives the right knowledge, even without your service. You can serve Him only when you are convinced. Your service to Him will help Him help others. Infact a Sadguru does not need your service because He is God Himself. He can help others by His own powers. But you will not get the right benefit from Him, because you did not show gratefulness to Him. Suppose a doctor gives you medicines for some illness without asking for fees and you get cured. If you do not pay his fees due to your greediness, even though you are capable of paying, you will die with a new disease. www.universal-spirituality.org |
You have two regions of unimaginable nature. One is the temporarily unimaginable region containing the deeper planes of world within the limits of the space and these are surely going to be analyzed in future by scientists. The other is the permanently unimaginable region, which exhibits the permanently unimaginable limits of space or God. Hence, scientists have established the existence of permanently unimaginable God. The unimaginable nature is the reason for wonder. Maya means wonder by its root word. Hence, we have temporary and permanent regions of Maya. Even the magic show, which creates wonder, is called as Maya, which is temporary since you can analyze it and know it after some time. But the miracle performed by the human form of the Lord can never be analyzed which is not magic and such divine miracle is a permanent Maya indicating the permanently unimaginable God in the human form. Therefore, the miracle of human incarnation and the unimaginable limits of space are one and the same in establishing the permanently unimaginable and hence permanently wonderful God. Since there cannot be existence of two unimaginable items, there is no place for Maya and God together since both are permanently unimaginable. There can be several temporary unimaginable items in the world just like two items of a magic show. On realization the two items of the magic show give different imaginable technologies of performance of magic. But the realization of various permanently unimaginable miracles indicates only one unimaginable God. Therefore, in all the permanently unimaginable miracles, there is only one God as the basis, who is permanently unimaginable. Maya needs a medium of imaginable nature to exhibit its unimaginable nature. The unimaginable limits of the Universe are exhibited by the imaginable Universe, which is composed by imaginable items. Similarly, the unimaginable God is exhibited by the imaginable human body, which performs the unimaginable miracles through imaginable actions and imaginable items. For example, when the human incarnation moves its hand and produces sacred ash, the human form, hand, movement of hand and the final ash are imaginable items. With the help of these imaginable items, the generation of ash from space is exhibited as the permanently unimaginable miracle. Even the temporary Maya needs imaginable items in the magic show for exhibition. |
Reyginus: Is the cosmos finite or infinite?Let Me even say that the unimaginable limits of space are God. The scientist agrees the existence of these unimaginable limits of space and therefore the scientists is agreeing to the existence of God. Even the common man is experiencing the existence of these unimaginable limits of space by seeing the space with his naked eyes. The scientists see the space through the telescope and arrive at the same conclusion. The human intelligence cannot cross the four-dimensional space-time model at any cost on any day. The beginning and the end of the space (limits of boundary) are always untouchable and unimaginable for the intelligence of even top most scientists. If he crosses the limits of this space, certainly he can touch (Know) God who is beyond the space or exists in the limits of space. The unlimited space stands forever reminding the scientist regarding this eternal truth. Thus, the Universe is visible to all human beings in all times exhibiting the unimaginable item through its unimaginable limits. This Universe is a practical proof and the clear miracle of God available to all to declare this basic concept for every human being on this earth. Nobody needs the demonstration of any miracle other than this to indicate the unimaginable God. The miracles are not available to all in all times. Even if some miracle is demonstrated, people may conclude it as illusion or coincidence of events. But in this demonstrated example of unimaginable limits of space, there is no such controversy. Moreover, in this miracle there is no hope to disprove the unimaginable limits of space in future even according to the opinion of scientists. There cannot be two or more than two unimaginable items. Hence, the unimaginable limits of the Universe are showing only one unimaginable God directly to every human being. Since, you do not perceive the limits of the Universe, you have not perceived God. The existence of unperceivable limits establishes the unimaginable limits. The Universe is exhibiting its unperceivable and unimaginable limits. This means that you have not seen these limits. Hence, you have not seen the unimaginable limits, which are God. But the existence of unimaginable and unperceivable limits is exhibited. This means that the unperceivable and unimaginable God exists and His existence is clearly exhibited. This Universe itself exhibits the existence of such God. From this, the conclusion is that you have understood only the existence of unperceivable and unimaginable God but this does not mean that you have seen or imagined God. Veda says “Asteetyeva Upalabdhavyah” which means that you can know only the existence of the unknowable God. Veda says that God is unperceivable and unimaginable (Na Chakshusha…, Yasyaamatam…..). Gita also confirms that God is unimaginable (Mamtuveda Nakaschana…). |
The concept of unimaginable God is already mentioned in Vedas and Gita. It was not elaborated since there was no need in the earlier period, when science was not so much developed. The energetic form of God was thought to be the original God, since the energy can remain in the invisible region as well as the visible region by changing its frequency. The energetic form exists in the invisible region and thus, the energetic form of unimaginable God remained always invisible. By some severe penance, the invisible energetic form becomes visible by changing its frequency and devotees thought that the invisible God became visible to them for sometime. The people in the earlier period called this invisible form of the God as unimaginable. For them, the word unimaginable means the imaginable part that becomes visible by doing serious effort. Thus, the word unimaginable means relatively unimaginable but not absolutely unimaginable. You are able to touch the upper rod of the door by small effort. The roof of the house is untouchable because it cannot be touched by normal effort. After long practice of high jump, somebody is able to touch the roof of the house. Here, the roof of the house is relatively untouchable. The absolutely untouchable is the sky. You should not say that you will touch the sky in future by practicing the high jump. The actual God is absolutely unimaginable. Such God may enter the energetic form called Narayana or He may enter the materialized human form called as Krishna. In the first case, energy is the medium and in the second case, matter is the medium. Both energy and matter are inter-convertible as per science. The same unimaginable God exists in Narayana and Krishna simultaneously due to His unimaginable power. Thus, on analysis, there is no trace of difference between Narayana and Krishna. The people in the early period were not having this knowledge of inter-conversion of matter and energy. The invisible energy was thought special and hence, unimaginable. The concept of absolutely unimaginable God was also not elaborated to them. Since they were satisfied with the invisible energetic form as the absolute unimaginable, there was no need of elaboration of the actual absolutely unimaginable God. Moreover, the electrified wire can be treated as current for all practical purposes since it gives shock at any point. Similarly, the energetic form charged by the unimaginable God can be treated as the absolutely unimaginable God for all practical purposes. They were fully satisfied by seeing Narayana and they were convinced that Narayana was the absolute unimaginable God. When the result was achieved, there is no need of elaborating the hidden absolute truth. But, latter on, science developed and the powerful analysis grew based on practical proof. When the existence of invisible energy is understood, people are not satisfied if you say that the invisible energy is absolutely unimaginable. The invisible energy is a part of creation only and can be seen through electronic instruments. Now there is a danger of entry of atheism because the so far treated unimaginable became imaginable. The very existence of unimaginable item is questioned leading to atheism. For this purpose, there is a need of revealing the absolute truth that was already mentioned in the scriptures. The unimaginable absolute God is the generator of space and hence, is beyond space. The cause can be seen only when the effect is destroyed. The lump of mud is the cause and the pot is the effect. The lump of mud can be seen only when the pot disappears. Similarly, the unimaginable God can be seen only when the space disappears. Your intelligence is always limited to spatial dimensions and cannot imagine anything devoid of spatial dimensions. Therefore, the unimaginable God, being the cause of space has no spatial dimensions and therefore, remains always unimaginable. The knowledge of such unimaginable God and the knowledge of the matter and energy being equal, makes you understand that Narayana and Krishna are one and the same. Matter is the condensed form of energy and hence, the energy can be treated as Father and matter as son. The Father of heaven is the energetic form charged by the unimaginable God. Jesus is the materialized matter-form charged by the same unimaginable God. From the point of view of medium, He told that He is the son of God and from the point of view of internal unimaginable God He told that He and His Father are one and the same. The human incarnation is a single phase of two components, which are God and soul. It is an alloy of Gold and copper. If a trace of Gold is mixed in copper, still it is alloy but it looks like copper only. Similarly, the human incarnation looks like an ordinary human being in which the invisible – unimaginable God is alloyed. This type of combination makes the medium always exhibited with its properties like birth, death, hunger etc. If the properties of the medium are suppressed and the properties of God are exhibited, people get excited and cannot clarify their doubts with the human incarnation. This is the merit of this concept but defect is that people generally neglect the human incarnation based on this very same point. But, the merit is more important because the primary purpose of human incarnation is to clarify the doubts of the devotees. Arjuna questioned Krishna in several ways and got the points clarified freely because Krishna was in human form. If Krishna started explaining the Bhagavad Gita through energetic form (Vishwarupam), Arjuna could not have asked even one question due to extensive excitement. The God component in the human incarnation speaks that He is God. But, people see the human incarnation as human being only. Then there are two ways of the reaction of the human beings. Either they say that the human incarnation is only a human being and not God or they say that every human being is God. The first way is offensive and the second way is defensive. In the first way, people crucified Jesus. The offensive way is also mentioned in the Gita (Avajaananti maam…). Mohammad refused this concept of human incarnation since the people were continuing in the offensive nature only. The defensive way was taken by Shankara. In His time, people were also atheists with ego and jealousy. He subsided their reaction by taking the defensive way. You can understand the human incarnation only by recognizing the two components. Whenever Jesus told that He is truth and light, it is the God component that spoke those words. Whenever Jesus told ‘Let Thy will be done.’, ‘Why did You leave Me?’ etc., it is the soul the component that spoke these words. The two components were clearly demonstrated by Krishna. Bhagavad Gita was told by God component. After the war, when Arjuna asked to repeat the same, the soul component spoke Anu Gita, which was only an exposition of a scholar. The Bhagavad Gita was told by God component and Anu Gita was told by soul component. Whenever God speaks, the soul in the human incarnation is forced to be dumb. Sometimes, even the soul in the human incarnation may claim that it is God and in such case, it will be insulted and punished. This happened in the case of Parashurama, who thought that he killed all the kings. He was insulted and punished by Rama. When this is the case of the soul present in the human incarnation, what about the case of souls present in the human beings? Such souls will be punished in the hell for reformation. Sometimes the soul in the human incarnation may keep silent when he is praised as God by the devotees. The silence is forced on the soul by the God. If the soul reveals the truth, the devotees may be deeply hurt and pained. They prayed God to see Him and to speak with Him. Therefore, the secrecy of technique of the human incarnation should be maintained by the soul. However, such silence should not mislead the soul to think that it is really God or is transformed in to God really. In the alloy, the atoms of Gold remain as Gold and the atoms of copper remain as copper. Neither Gold became copper nor vice-versa. You should limit the example within some boundaries and you should not analyze the example deeply. Infact, the Gold and copper are inter-convertible by artificial transmutation and this point should not be brought here to spoil the concept. If you take like that with extensive analysis, there can be no simile to God. All the items in the creation are imaginable and cannot be compared to unimaginable God. Therefore, you should not cross the limits of the simile in understanding the concept about God. The science is blessed to the human beings by God to understand the spiritual knowledge in deeper real sense. But, the human beings diverted the science to create more facilities. Infact, God has created all the facilities based on balance of nature leading to perfect health. All the inventions of science for the extra facilities proved to be harmful by the environmental science, which clearly proves that these inventions are not the intentions of God to bless the human beings with advanced scientific knowledge. It is your defect only You should not blame God that He is unable to make us understand the unimaginable God. So far we are thinking that we are able to understand God after doing lot of penance. This wrong knowledge is removed by God and today, you understood that you can never understand God. This point is also supported by the absence of spatial dimensions of God. By this, scientists need not think that the unimaginable God beyond space does not exist at all. The genuine miracles, which are unimaginable events, exhibited by unimaginable source called as God, establish the existence of unimaginable entity and it is supported by the point that such unimaginable God is beyond space being the creator of space. |
The generator of the space does not have spatial dimensions The fundamental unit of the cosmos is space, which is nothing but very subtle energy. The cause or the generator of the space must not contain the space in it. In the case of mud and pot also, the cause may be in the effect but the effect is not in the cause. The mud may be in the pot but the pot is not in the crude lump of mud. Therefore, in the concept [creation from God] also, the space cannot be in its generator. Before the creation of the space, space cannot exsit anywhere and even in its cause. If space exists in the cause, the space is already created before its creation. This is one impossible thing. The other impossible point is that if the space is in the cause, it means that space created space. Therefore, at any cost, space should not exist in its generator. It means that the generator of the space does not have spatial dimensions. The space means spatial dimensions only. Length, width and height are the spatial dimensions and the multiple product of these three is the volume or space. Your intelligence can never imagine anything, which does not have spatial dimensions. However much your intelligence may be sharp and however much your intelligence may take time, it cannot imagine anything, which does not have volume. Therefore, the generator of this space or cosmos is always unimaginable and exists beyond the cosmos. This is the reason for the everlasting space since its generator, which is the bank or boundary of this cosmos is never achieved by the intelligence. When intelligence itself fails, there is no possibility of the mind or senses to catch that unimaginable boundary of the cosmos, which is the unimaginable God Himself. Except this explanation, no other explanation gives satisfaction to expose the reason for the infinity of the cosmos. www.universal-spirituality.org Universal Spirituality for World Peace |
plaetton: If god is not in then cosmos, then god is just, like I have always said, a figment of the human imagination , and does not exists.God is not imagination, God exists but God do not have any spatial coordinates like worldly items, He is unimaginable and beyond the comprehension of logic and analysis. No characteristics of God are known, the only information about God is that He exists. However He comes in human form to this world to preach divine knowledge in every generation, by which we can see Him, touch Him and co-live with Him. The infinite cosmos [universe] itself is a proof of the existence of unimaginable God. ‘Infinite’ means that the boundary of the universe is everlasting. What is the secret of this everlasting boundary? Suppose, let us say that the ocean is infinite. It means that you may travel and travel for any extent of time, you will not reach the bank of the ocean. The bank of the ocean means the land, which is different from the ocean or its water. The land, which is beyond the water, is never achieved if the ocean is infinite. If the boundary of the ocean is achieved, it means the land, which is separate from water is seen. Similarly, if the boundary of the universe is achieved, it means that the unimaginable God, who is separate from the imaginable universe is achieved. But, the boundary of the universe is never achieved. This means that something, which is beyond the cosmos or the universe, can never be achieved. What can be beyond the universe? Only the cause or generator of the universe can be beyond the universe. From a huge lump of mud, you have created a small pot using some of the mud. Now, beyond the pot, the rest lot of mud, which is the cause of the pot, exists. If you are unable to cross the boundary of the pot, the cause of the pot, which is lump of mud, is never achieved. You can take this example to certain extent only. In this example, some part of the cause is modified into the pot and the rest of the part of the cause remains. But, in the concept [creation from God], no part of the cause is modified. |
God is not in the cosmos because God does not have spatial dimensions God is not in the cosmos because God does not have spatial dimensions and He cannot exist in the cosmos, which has spatial dimensions. Even if you say that the unimaginable God exists in the cosmos, it is of no use, because such God is never detected even by the sharp intelligence. It is as good as saying that God is not in the cosmos. Therefore, the Veda says that nothing in this cosmos is God, because nothing contains God. If something contains God, you can say it as God. If a wire contains current, you can say such wire as current itself. Since no imaginable item contains unimaginable God, no imaginable item can be called as God (Neti neti… Veda). Even in the case of human incarnation that contains God, God is still undetectable even by intelligence, even though you call It as God. The Veda (Tvadevanupravishat…) and the Gita (Manusheem tanum…) speak about the special entry of God in human incarnation for the purpose of preaching the spiritual knowledge to human beings with exceptional specific talent in clarifying the doubts. Such special entry cannot be the logical entry of cause into effect during modification like mud in the pot. Such special entry is based on the desire of God and not on the logical principle of entry of worldly cause into wordly effect. www.universal-spirituality.org Universal Spirituality for World Peace |
You should not blame God that He is unable to make us understand the unimaginable God. The genuine miracles, which are unimaginable events, exhibited by unimaginable source called as God, establish the existence of unimaginable entity and it is supported by the point that such unimaginable God is beyond space being the creator of space. www.universal-spirituality.org Universal Spirituality for World Peace |
italo: Firstly, you have no proof of whether he was an Atheist or not at the time of his betrayal.Betrayal of Judas Judas betrayed the human incarnation. Judas may be an ordinary human being or may be the servant of Lord who belongs to the innermost circle. Thus there are two possibilities. Let us examine the scripture in the light of both the possibilities. If he is an ordinary human being, he shall be punished by death given by the judgement or he shall punish himself by committing suicide. The latter part of punishment was advised by Lord Jesus Himself. Jesus told that it is better himself to cut ones own sinful hand than falling in the eternal fire. If the human being is a realised soul, he will follow the instruction of Jesus and will commit suicide. But if the human being is like an animal, he will betray the Lord and go away with the bribe. For such a fellow, the judgement in the court is required in this world. If he escapes the judgement here, he will certainly go to the liquid fire. Now Judas proved himself as a realised soul. According to Jesus, if you punish yourself for your own sin, you need not go to the hell. In Hinduism also, Manu Smruthi says ‘the sinner punished by the king in this world gets rid of his sin and goes to heaven.’ (Rajabhih Dhruta Dandastu …. Manu Smruthi). Even from the court of law, we know that a single crime cannot have two punishments. Therefore if you take Judas as an ordinary human being, then also, he need not go to hell. Now if you analyse the case, in the path of second possibility, the devotee of the Lord acted in that bad role and punished himself for his own sin. In that case he has given the message to the world and entered the inner circle of the Lord after playing his due role. In both these possibilities, the scripture applies in toto. The conclusion of both the possibilities is only that one should not betray the Lord in human form. If one betrays the creator it is better that he ends his life and join the list of unborn persons. This is the meaning of the statement of the scripture. Especially in the case of Judas, he became the disciple of Jesus for sometime. Betraying the spiritual preacher, who is the Lord in human form (Satguru) is the highest sin. No other way of repentance is justified. Betraying an ordinary human being itself is the highest sin. Betraying the Lord is higher than the highest sin. This shows the purity of the Lord and the importance that should be given to the Lord. |
devotee: Swami! In Quran, it is stated that Mohammed is not father of any one. Further it is stated there that He is the last Prophet sent by God. What is the inner meaning of this, if this verse is genuine statement? Swami: O devotee Rohit! You have picked up very crucial concept of spirituality. This statement is original and therefore it entered your mind. The inner meaning of this verse is based on the angle, which you take For the word Mohammed, here the word Mohammed stands only For the external human form and not the internal eternal God. Islam does not agree to the concept of human incarnation. When Bible says the word Jesus, it means the internal eternal God. When the Gita says Krishna, He means the same eternal God. Because both Christianity and Hinduism believe God in flesh. We need not criticise Islam for not believing Human Incarnation, Because the main idea is that there is always misuse of this concept. The human beings claim themselves as human incarnations. Every human being following the philosophy of Advaita in Hinduism Feels that it is the Lord, this is very dangerous extrapolation. Even devils and demons claimed themselves as eternal God By doing certain miracles after achieving some super powers. All these dangerous misleading cases harm the devotees. In the name of idol worship also, priests have exploited devotees. They keep idols in front and rob the wealth of devotees. To avoid all these misleading misused concepts, Islam sorted To the worship of formless aspect of God, we appreciate this. But because of misuses we cannot deny basic system itself. If copying is happening, it should be arrested by taking care. We cannot cancel the very examination system for the fear of This misuse, we are not avoiding the journey by buses and trains Due to possibility of accidents, the human incarnation is important. That is the only path to reach God as said by Jesus because The human beings approach God only through human form. The devotees can get full satisfaction and full guidance only From the human incarnation and not from any other form of God. Of course, if you fear for the exploitation of this concept here, It is better to stick to formless God or God through statues. But you should be prepared for the disadvantages in the above ways. You will also loose the golden chance provided by God for your sake. Yet, Islam should be appreciated because avoiding danger is good. Such decision was taken by Islam depending on the circumstances And the atmosphere prevailed over the society during the time of Mohammed. We should understand the religion from the point of the circumstances And the environment that existed during the propagation at that time. But now the scientific logical analysis is well developed and one need not fear For the exploitation by the false human incarnations who can be easily Identified, so you should not avoid the system in the present circumstances. Islam is not a new concept to the Hinduism because in Hinduism The philosophy of Madhva says the same and preaches that the Lord Can never become the human being nor vice versa and this is also stated By Jesus when He told that He was the Messenger sent by God. Thus Islam agrees with Hinduism and Christianity in its basic concept. Mohammed told that He was the last prophet because He did not like Another false human incarnation to come and mislead and exploit the mass. It is only to avoid the danger of exploitation of cunning human beings. What is the reason for Islam not to accept the human incarnation? Even Mohammed said that He was only the servant of God and He did not claim Himself as the human incarnation, even though He Himself knows the truth That He is the God in Flesh like Buddha or Krishna or Jesus. This reason enlightens the greatness of Islam Religion, the reason is that Once a real human incarnation is accepted, several fraud human incarnations Claim themselves as God and mislead the spiritual aspirants for their selfish ends. Infact such concept was so much polluted and got so much diluted So that every human being started thinking that he himself is God. In Hinduism this misinterpretation rules the minds of several people Even today and most people think “Aham Brahmaasmi”, which means “I am God”, people say that service to human beings is service to God Because every human being is God only, Sankara condemned this concept Which was a religion called Loka Sevaka Matam, when Jesus was worshipped By a lady who was using some special scent to wash His divine lotus feet, A disciple told that the cost of the scent could have been used to serve the beggars The disciple thought that service to society is better than the personal service Of the Lord, but Jesus immediately replied, “Let her do this service, beggars Are always present in this world but I come rarely to this world”, this shows That the Lord is far greater than the society and the social service is valid only When the Lord gives permission to do so, because the saviour is the Lord And not the society, thus the background of Islam should be properly understood. |
Yoga Destroys False Ground, False Devotion & False Sacrifice O Learned and Devoted Servants of God, A devotee asked: You are preaching the equal enjoyment of happiness and unhappiness so that there is no need of devotion to God. When such state is achieved, really, there is no need of God. When there is no need, the reason for devotion disappears. Nothing can be generated without reason. Hence, devotion is not generated. In the absence of devotion, where is the need of the practical sacrifice in service to God. The Veda says that the sacrifice of money alone can lead to God (Dhanena Tyagena …). Hence, the Vedic statement also becomes meaningless in the present context. Reply of Swami: There is lot of confusion of the concepts in the argument projected by you. The real ground of devotion and the false ground of devotion should be separately differentiated. The equality in enjoyment of happiness and unhappiness is related to the removal of false ground of devotion. This does not mean that the real ground of devotion is also removed. The practical sacrifice is a point related to real ground of devotion. This point is related by you to the false ground and by removal of false ground, this point is also removed by you. Let Me explain this more clearly. The false ground of devotion is the link between selfish desire and the power of God. In false devotion, you always try to exploit the power of God in removing your difficulties and getting happiness. The difficulties are the fruits of your sins and happiness is the fruit of your good deeds. By exploiting the power of God, you want to avoid the fruits of your sins and want to get the happiness without the good deeds. Both are wrong. You want that God should commit these two blunders, soaped by your false devotion. The devotion is false because your love to God is based on business. You want this undue favor from God for which you expose your artificial love to God through worship and prayers. All this is false ground of devotion. You want to sacrifice money to God again based on this false ground only. You donate some money to God to get this undue favor. It is just like the corruption practiced by citizens in the offices of government. You bribe the official to do some undue favor. Therefore, such sacrifice of money is also not the real sacrifice as said in the Veda. If you develop equality in enjoying the happiness and unhappiness like the sweet and hot dishes in meals, you will not require this undue favor from host in requesting him to serve only sweets and not hot dishes. When the Yoga of equality in enjoyment of happiness and unhappiness is developed, the false devotion and false sacrifice of money also disappears. Therefore, this Yoga leads to the final disappearance of false ground of devotion and subsequently false devotion and false sacrifice. Today, if this false ground of devotion disappears, there will be no single devotee on this earth! The entire devotion in the present devotion is totally false and the only remedy for this is to develop Yoga. Lord Datta is called as Yogiraja, standing for the meaning that He alone is the preacher of the Yoga. When Yoga destroys the false ground, false devotion and false sacrifice, this does not mean that there is no real ground, real devotion and real sacrifice. By attaining Yoga, you are expected to enter the real ground of devotion where real devotion and real sacrifice exist. The end of Yoga is not simple enjoyment of happiness and unhappiness continuously without the concept of God. When you have attained the Yoga completely, you have to put a question to yourself. What is the basis of this enjoyment of happiness and unhappiness? The basis is this creation including yourself. In the absence of creation, the enjoyment of happiness and unhappiness also does not exist. You are advised to enjoy both sweet and hot dishes equally. Here, the advice does not end only with the ultimate aim of development of psychology of equal enjoyment of sweet and hot dishes. The advice continues to remind you to express your gratefulness to the host, who served you the food containing both the dishes. Similarly, the creator of this creation must be always thanked for providing the basis of this very enjoyment. God is the creator of yourself and rest of the creation. You are not expected to finish the meals by enjoying the sweet and hot dishes equally and go away without thanking the host. You may raise the doubt that this expression of gratefulness is again based on the business between donor and acceptor. But, in this context, you are expressing your gratefulness for the past favor done by God even without your request. Therefore, this will not be a false ground of devotion. When your request is related to the present and the future, then only, the false ground of devotion appears. Therefore, the real ground of devotion starts with this expression of gratefulness to the past favor done by God even without your desire. Now, the real devotion starts. This real devotion can be further flavored by your attraction towards the divine qualities and diving personality of God in which also there is no selfish desire. In such attraction also, there is no false ground. When this real ground and the real devotion are established, the real proof of your practical sacrifice is required, which is your bond with money. Money is the root of all the worldly bonds (Dhanamoolamidam jagat…). All the worldly bonds are alive only when money exists. All these worldly bonds are like the branches of the tree of your family and root of such tree is money. Therefore, the test at the root will be the test of the entire tree. Hence, the Veda said that the sacrifice of money means the sacrifice of all the other bonds. Therefore, the false ground and real ground of devotion are separate. The sacrifice of money in the false ground is only a part of the business. The sacrifice of money in the real ground stands as the acid proof for the real devotion. The Yoga, which is the talent of enjoying both happiness and unhappiness equally, is to be developed only to destroy the false ground of devotion. When this false ground is destroyed, the false devotion and the false sacrifice are also simultaneously destroyed. This does not mean the real ground does not exist. In fact, after attaining the Yoga, the real ground of devotion should start. After eating the meals, you are expected to thank the host. This thanking the host is the real ground of devotion. Enjoyment of sweet and hot dishes in the meals has nothing to do with this process of thanking the host. If you enjoy both the dishes equally in the meals, it does not mean that you can go away without thanking the host. Hence, the discrimination between truth and false should be carefully done through shrewd analysis. Hence, Shankara told that this shrewd analysis is one of the four eligible qualities of a spiritual aspirant (Sadasat vivekah…). |
O Learned and Devoted Servants of God, The infinite cosmos [universe] itself is a proof of the existence of unimaginable God. |
Reyginus: Do you really want to interact?yes..offcourse.. |
First of all I told that there is no need of leaving the home or family If the home and the family are congenial to the mission by devotion This question does not arise in your case since you are a great devotee When the family opposes the mission, then only one has to leave home However, I shall answer your question keeping you as a representative For an un-matured devotee, in which case only this possibility arises Neither God gives you such strength nor you can attain it by your effort Such state should be spontaneous and then only the Lord is pleased. Leave this mission, one day or other all have to separate and go Then do you require the strength for such departure or not? The departure is inevitable even for the un-divine human beings If the blind love is accumulated day by day, just imagine that day When one has to depart from all his blind attractions in this world! Just on the deathbed, the Lord gives the last flash of knowledge By that you will realize the truth because at that junction of life and death One sees clearly both the worlds since the messengers of Lord Yama Stand before the person to pull out the subtle body from the gross body Then every one realizes that these bonds were absolutely unreal In that last few minutes the agony starts because the person thinks like this “For these blind bonds I have spent all my energy and my life time, Who cannot save me in this time, the saviour is not coming now because I have not spent my lifetime and energy for His mission when I was alive Now even if I wish to serve the Lord for His mission, there is no time When time was there this realization did not come, what could I do?” At that time the person is pained for foolishly having these bonds The person is not pained for leaving these bonds as you think now That situation will open the eyes of every human being in this world If you are not pained to leave these bonds for the mission now When you are alive, you will not be pained at that last minute also, You realize now and be wise to leave the bonds with happiness You will have the same happiness at that time also to leave these bonds One day or other you have to leave the bonds without any mercy Why not leave the bonds now itself for the sake of the Lord and be saved? When you leave these bonds at that time you are not saved for leaving the bonds But if you leave the same bonds even before that time, you are saved always Is it not wise to do an inevitable thing now itself and get its benefit? Is it not foolishness to do the same inevitable thing then and loose everything? |
What is the reason for all this misery, depression and tensions? How to remove them? Let Me answer your question straight with a simple example You have caught a hot iron rod with your hand and you are weeping You are asking Me to remove the heat from the rod and give you happiness For this you are constantly praying the Lord to use His special power. I have to laugh at this situation because the easiest solution is to remove Your hand from the rod to be happy, which you are not doing at all You cannot get rid of your attachment to the rod, but you pray the Lord To cool the rod using His Maya, is this prayer justified in any way? Why don’t you get detached from your family bonds and be happy? The hand with which you have caught your family members is your mind You detach your mind from the bonds of your family members And be peaceful always and there is no need of praying the Lord for this When the solution is in your hand why do you ask the Lord for it? When the solution is out of your hands there may be justice in asking the Lord In the first stage you detach your mind from them and be worry less In course of time when your detachment by mind becomes complete You will spontaneously leave your duties also and attain bliss The detachment from the family comes by your attachment with the Lord As the bond with the Lord becomes more and more strong, your family bonds Become weaker and weaker and finally all the bonds disappear In this state you are left over only with the bond with the Lord This state is called “Eka Bhakthih” in Gita or the single pointed devotion Devotion means love and this is related to the plane of mind As the faculty of intelligence becomes more and more sharp By the knowledge preached by the Lord, the devotion to Lord Becomes more and more strong, thus knowledge is acting as Both fertilizer as well as pesticide on both the sides simultaneously It acts as a fertilizer for the bond with the Lord, which is like a plant The plant grows slowly and becomes a huge tree by this fertilizer The family bonds are like the insects that attack this devotion plant For those insects this divine knowledge acts as a pesticide also The knowledge is also the generating factor like the water for the seed Only by the knowledge of the Lord, the devotion is generated Devotion is the love or attraction towards the Lord to attain Him It ends in agony or Vedana as told by Ramanuja, thus knowledge is The generating factor, the fertilizer and the pesticide simultaneously At Thy Lotus Feet His Holiness Sri Dattaswami Anil Antony www.universal-spirituality.org Universal Spirituality for World Peace |
This physical world, which consists of the inert objects like Sun, Moon, Stars Air, Earth etc., is not the world, which is binding you and this is not The world from which you have to attain the liberation or salvation If you get salvation from this physical world it is called the death Death is not the salvation since even after death you are bound by the bonds The bonds are not with the physical world but they are with your family members It is this family that constitutes your entire world from which you must be salvated The physical world is real and it is unreal for the creator only and not for you You are a part and parcel of this world and if you say that this world is unreal You too become unreal, your unreal world is your own family, which is created By yourself only and why this is unreal? If you analyse, these bonds did not exist Before this birth and do not exist after this birth and hence are not existing During this birth also, Sankara told that temporary is always unreal Therefore, Gita emphasizes for the detachment from these worldly bonds Jesus goes one step further and advises you even to hate these family bonds This is surprising but if you analyse, I should say, He is absolutely correct If you analyse deeply, these family members deserve your hatred and not love The reason is that these family members were very vehement enemies to you In the previous birth you stole their hard earned property and fought with them Now they have come to collect their wealth from you along with the Compound interest, they are in the form of wife and children and you are bound To pay them according to the force of Karma Chakra i.e., associated with Kala Chakra Payment of loans is Karma Chakra and payment in this birth is Kala Chakra The same is said “Runanubandha Rupena Pasu Patni Sutalayaah” The three strongest bonds are with money, wife and children and these three Are called as “Eeshanaas”, which are the stainless steel chains, which never Corrode, the secret in the force of these three bonds is only the force of Karma The Karma is the payment of the loans with interest and for that you have to earn Therefore, you are forced by Karma to earn the money and that is the spontaneous Attraction to the money, the Karma is dragging you to earn the money so that You can pay to your enemies who are surrounding you for the collection of loans Thus these three bonds are inter related and amalgamated by the force of Karma These enemies are in the mask of friendship and love with you and you do not Remember your previous birth, which is again due to the force of karma only If you remember the previous birth and that enmity you will not repay the loan Therefore, by the force of Karma Chakra only you do not remember previous birth These enemies can collect their money only under the mask of love and friendship These enemies are collecting their money in the form of work and also money The mother repays the loan by doing work like bathing and clothing the children Such sacrifice of work by the mother is coming under Karma Sanyasa The father repays the money by giving his hard earned property to the children And this repayment of direct wealth comes under Karma Phala Tyaga. But these enemies are not satisfied with simple repayment of their loans If a thief steals your money and if you catch him will you leave him Just by taking your money? You will torture him and then only leave Similarly, you have stolen their property and you tortured them Therefore, they have caught the thief in this birth and collect their money Apart from that they will torture you by dragging you down from the Lord If you progress in your spiritual path and reach and please the Lord You are saved permanently and attain eternal happiness here and there Now these enemies obstruct your spiritual path and drag you back From that Eternal divine benefit and due to that you will fall in this world-cycle In this cycle, which is the permanent hell, you are tortured forever By this, their vengeance is subsided and they stand around you even In your last minutes so that you will be attracted by them then also And you will not remember the Lord even in the last minute This is the reason why all your family members reach you even before your death They reach you when they hear that you are seriously ill, they are very alert But you fool! You are not alert about them and remember them only even on the Death bed! Is your this world not really unreal? You analyse the fact I say this family world is the most unreal world because these bonds are not only Unreal according to the analysis of Sankara, but also they are the bonds Of enmity and so must be hated according to the Holy Jesus You are thinking the enemy as your friend! How unreal is this bond? First you come out of this unreal world created by you due to your past deeds People say often that the world is unreal, yes! It is absolutely unreal But the world is not this physical world created by the Lord The unreal world is your family created by yourself due to your past karma Similarly, your religion is another broader unreal world created by you Your fellow religious people obstruct you from entering Universal spirituality Because they are your enemies in the mask of friendship in this birth You harmed them spiritually in the previous birth and therefore they have come Now here as your friends belonging to the same religion and revenge upon you When you come out of these two worlds, which are well and river You will enter the Universal Spirituality, which is the infinite ocean |
Family Bond-Responsibility To Family-Bond With God Gita says ‘Eka Bhakthih Vishishyate’ which means that the person having only one bond with the Lord alone is liberated. The liberation itself means destruction of all the bonds in this world. Without full liberation, one cannot have a strong bond with the Lord. Unless one is completely relieved from the world, one cannot join God. The joining report in the new institution is not possible without complete relief from the previous institution. You cannot partially join the new institution. It cannot be a side employment. Ofcourse such partial bond can be treated as the intermediate stage and is better than no bond. But the aim should not be such partial bond. If you aim at 100 marks, you may get 40 marks and pass. But if you aim at 40 marks only, you will fail. Therefore, let the aim be total liberation from the world and single bond with the God. The bond consists of three parts. The service in terms of sacrifice of work and fruit of work comprises ninety-nine paise (cent). Love with mind consists of 2/3rd paise(cent). Remembering through words consists of 1/3rd paise(cent). If you take the case of Sankara, he has donated the whole rupee to the Lord. His love for his mother, words to praise mother and service to mother are diverted towards the Lord. He left his mother for the sake of the Lord. He has donated all the one hundred paise(cent) to the Lord. He is the top most beloved of the Lord. He should be our aim. In the beginning stage you cannot divert your work, which is called duty and mental attachment, which is called love to the Lord. At least make a humble beginning by donating the words to the Lord. Go on reading spiritual books and go on chanting his songs. By this you have donated 1/3rd paise to the Lord. Remember that you cannot purchase any item from any shop with 1/3rd paise. Therefore, do not aspire any thing in return from the Lord, for this 1/3rd paise. In the next stage you try to divert your mind towards the Lord, which is 2/3rd paise. Do your duties to your family members, but without mental attachment. Such mental detachment has several added advantages. If one is mentally detached from the family members, he will not be hurt if they insult him in future. He will not be disturbed when their behaviour is not correct. He will not suffer if death attacks them. Such mental detachment brings full peace and balance of mind. Due to this he will be always energetic with good health. Therefore such mental detachment is needed even for an atheist. The detached mind cannot keep silent because it is habituated to the attachment. Therefore, attach the mind to the Lord. Such attachment will always give infinite bliss in the life. When you are successful in attaching the mind to the Lord, you are called as devotee. But a devotee can be disturbed. The devotion becomes firm if his intelligence takes a firm decision through knowledge. Therefore, Knowledge gives firm decision to the intelligence (Buddhi) and this makes the devotion of mind (Manas) to be firm. Therefore, Gita started with Buddhi Yoga or Jnana Yoga in the second chapter. When the mind is fixed on the Lord with the help of the knowledge of the intelligence, the work will naturally change and will follow the mind. The mind is like the king. The words are like his ministers. The intelligence is like his preacher or Guru. The work is like his army. Therefore, with the help of the words the mind should be diverted to the Lord and it is fixed with the help of the intelligence. The words divert the mind, whereas the intelligence fixes the mind. Therefore, when you have donated words and mind to the Lord and when you are strengthened by the spiritual knowledge your duties and responsibilities, which form the work, will naturally be diverted towards the Lord. The work is always inert item and is controlled by the mind and intelligence. |
Conversation between SWAMI and a Christian Father Recently, I had the fortune to accompany Swami in a train journey from Narasaraopet to Vijayawada. A Christian father was our co-passenger. The conversation between Swami and the Christian father took place as given below. Father: Those who do not have faith in Jesus Christ are destined to be consigned to the flames of liquid fire in Hell. This is the declaration of our faith. SWAMI: Does that mean that there is no salvation to all the devotees on this earth prior to the incarnation of Jesus Christ? If so, all those devotees were subjects of prejudice of God, as they were deprived of that revelation, their successors had? Father: God is impartial in that subject. He gave Jehovah to mankind for their salvation before the incarnation of Jesus. SWAMI: Fine! If that be so, devotees of this land have no knowledge of either Jehovah or Jesus Christ prior to the arrival of Vasco da Gama. Vasco da Gama discovered India and only later on, the Christian literature that speaks of Jehovah or Jesus came to India. All those innocents, who lived before the arrival of Vasco da Gama deprived of the revelations of either Jehovah or Jesus Christ, were consigned to the flames of the ‘liquid fire’ for no fault of theirs. They were not to regenerate by taking human births again and reclaim the salvation since the doctrine of the faith you follow has no place for the rebirth of the soul. Does this mean that God intended to provide the revelation only to a handful in a small country and deny the opportunity to all those living in rest of the world? Why did God reveal Himself at a particular point of time, in a particular land, to a particular section alone? Does that not inflict the God with prejudice? FATHER: No faith is free from such blame. Does not the faith you belong to, charge the non-believers of your faith to the same danger of hell? All mortals in other land, not aware of the virtues of the faith you follow, are subjects of the same punishment in hell! Does this also not inflict God with Prejudice? SWAMI: There are enthusiasts who are fans in every faith. Christian enthusiasts maintain that non-believers in Jehovah or Jesus Christ shall be subjects for the flames of the liquid fire. Hindu enthusiasts maintain that non-believers of Lord Vishnu or Lord Shiva shall be subjects for affliction in hell. They further introduce and adopt sectarian salvation which limits itself to certain sections only. Followers of different sects castigate each other by such warnings. All these partisans fail to appreciate the unity in thought of all the world religions. All these ‘approaches’ to God, afflict Him with Prejudice. The only way to keep God unblemished is to perceive His generosity correctly. The same single God revealed Himself distinctly in different places, in different times, to different people in different forms. He granted the same enlightenment to all in different tongues. All those faithful attain salvation upon receiving the enlightenment. Those who fail to receive are subjected to the liquid fire in hell. This approach towards God makes him unblemished. The God of all religions is one and the same. He may appear to be different due to differences in His approach to different people, in different times, in different forms and in different tongues. He nurtures all with same compassion. The sea receives all the rivers in the same way, whether they are straight or curved. The devotion is important and not the religion or path. If the straight river becomes proud and mocks at the curved river, God will see that the straight river will never reach Him. By His will, people will build a dam on that river to divert all the water! Every one needs to follow the path assigned in his faith to attain salvation. Every religion has different levels of spiritual enlightenment. One should move up to the higher level for comprehension of the total enlightenment. Such enlightenment alone is the means of salvation. These levels of enlightenment in each religion are similar to the levels of education. Different religions are similar to different language mediums. The content of the curriculum is same in all the language mediums. A pupil of a certain language should strive to reach higher levels of knowledge in the same medium of his choice. He is a pilgrim in pursuit of divinity. His medium is his opportunity. It is neither superior nor inferior to any other medium. He need not move on to another language medium to uplift himself. All the language mediums are different religions at different levels of knowledge. A school student studying science in a particular medium (language) need not change his medium, because even if he changes, the syllabus will not be changed. He should strive to change his syllabus by raising his standard of knowledge and reach to college level in the same medium. The school and college levels exist in every medium. A school student does not become a college student just by changing the medium of his class. He becomes a college student only, when the level of his knowledge rises up. Similarly, a devotee of any religion should try to reach the higher spiritual level in his own religion. His spiritual level is not raised by changing his religion. Every religion has the lower and higher levels of spiritualism meant for devotees of corresponding stages. Religion is the medium and spiritualism is the curriculum or syllabus with different levels (school level, college level etc.,) present in the same religion. One shall strive to reach the higher levels of knowledge that are carved out in his own faith. No one needs to move on to another faith for higher level of knowledge for the will of final salvation. All faiths lead to the same destination. In any path, you will have to proceed vertically to reach the goal. At any point of your path, if you travel horizontally, you will reach the same point of level in another path, which is a waste. The realization of this truth alone ensures harmony among different faiths of the world. Failure to perceive the truth will not make anyone enlightened. When Swami concluded like this, the Christian Father stood and touched his heart in the model of a cross and said, "we believe that Jesus will be born again. Yes. Jesus is again born now. Nobody else can explain like this. I am fully convinced''. When we came to our house, Swami told me, "see, the Christian father did not rigidly limit his mind with conservatism. Every religion contains good and broad- minded devotees. My effort of propagation of knowledge is for such devotees who are present in every religion in this world''. |
The devotion is of two types, conditional and unconditional. The former is bound by area and time. Within the limits of certain area only God is honored. If God crosses those limits God is rejected. Therefore, for the devotee the limits of the area happen to be God, since those limits are ultimate for the devotee. God also follows the same rule and cannot help the devotee beyond those limits. In such case God follows the strict rules of the cycle of deeds (Karma Chakra) and acts according to justice and injustice. At the maximum, God may do some rearrangements like pre-poning of good fruits with reduced value and post-poning bad fruits with increased interest. In this case God will not transfer your sins on to Him because the conditional devotion is basically unreal. In the conditional devotion since the boundary of the area is ultimate God, God is no more God. Therefore, the approach to God is false devotion. It is time bound since the devotion comes only in difficult times. The unconditional devotion is not limited by area and time. The devotion is real crossing all the limits of areas and time. The Lord is the writer of the constitution and He knows whom to punish. Some times you see punishment of innocent person. You think that the injustice is ruling. In the kingdom of God only the justice is the ruler by the grace of God. When the innocent is punished, the punishment was of some bad deed done by him previously and the date of the punishment coincided with the present incident accidentally. The Lord will react in the same way as we act (Ye Yatha Mam…Gita). If our devotion is one kg of Gold, He will pay us its cost. If our devotion is hundred grams gold, He will pay us one tenth of the cost of the gold. But if our devotion is only bronze, even if it is one kg the cost of gold cannot be paid. Bronze is glittering like gold and it will have its own payment. The time bound devotion is totally unreal. We are using God only in difficulties as we use the fan in summer. In the winter fan is not needed. Of course, we use the fan in winter also for few minutes so that it will not corrode. Similarly, we pray God for a little time in the days of happiness also so that the touch with God is maintained. The intensity of the devotion in the times of happiness is definitely different from that in bad times. The devotion of Prahlada and Gopikas (Great Devotee of God)was having the same intensity in all the times. In such case only God suffers for the sake of devotee. All the suffering of Prahlada was taken by Lord and therefore Prahlada was always smiling during the torture. Unless you weep, the Lord will not be pleased. Unless you loose the peace the Lord will not be peaceful. Jesus told the same in Bible “I did not come to give you peace, I came with a sword to cut your family bonds. Unless you leave your parents, husbands, wives, children and even your lives you cannot be dear to me”. Gita also says ‘Mat Gata Praanaah’ which means that the devotee’s life itself is the Lord. In the ten stages of devotion the last stage is death (Unmaado Maranam Tathah). When you are cutting your family bonds you will certainly weep and feel it as loss and trouble. Therefore Jesus told “The path that leads to Me is very narrow with one or two persons only travelling in it. The path that leads to the Hell is very wide and happy with full of people”. Gita also says ‘Kaschit Mam Vetti, Bahunaam Janma namante’. Vyasa did lot of penance and wrote several scriptures. But he was running after his son called Suka, who was walking intoxicated with the love of the Lord. This is told in the beginning of Bhagavatam (Dvypaayano Viraha Katara). The same Vyasa could not get food at Varanasi for three days. He became angry and was ready to curse Varanasi. But see the Saktuprastha, who did not get food for the last ten days during the draught. He could get a little flour and was going to eat with his family. But when the guest came, he sacrificed that to the guest with full happiness. Therefore if you are happy in your spiritual path, such path is filled with flowers and is leading to hell. The reason is that such path is strengthening your unreal family bonds. When your spiritual path gives you sorrow, such path is full of thorns and is leading to the Lord. The reason is that, in such path you have to cut your family bonds and that gives you lot of pain and misery. The affection and attraction towards the Lord, which, you are showing today is not from your heart. It is only apparent and you are acting. You are trying to use the Lord for the happiness of your family bonds. Such devotees are called as divine prostitutes. The prostitute talks very sweet words and exhibits sweet feelings only to earn money from a person. Your prayers are such sweet words. Your devotion is such sweet feeling. The prostitute may fool an ignorant human being but can you fool the Lord who is omniscient? The sacred ash on your forehead, the garlands around your neck and the silk cloth which you wear are just like the decoration of a prostitute to attract the Lord. You are deceiving yourself. The Lord is furious with you. Even a human being without manners will respond if you call him by his name. But the Lord, who is having the best manners, is not responding even if you are calling Him lakhs of times in doing Japa. By this you estimate the quantity of anger and hatred present in the heart of the Lord on you. Even if you are not putting a single step in the true path, don’t put so many steps in the false path. As you are putting more and more steps in the false path, you are becoming more and more far from the Lord and the Lord is becoming more and more furious. Control the Bhoga, which brings Roga (illness). The association with your family bonds will bring you lot of mental worry. Sacrifice the enjoyment and association with your family bonds. Develop the bond with the Lord only and this is the true path. Veda says ‘Tyagenaike’ and Gita says ‘Tyaagaath Santhih’ which mean that sacrifice of the bonds with every human being and every object in this world alone can bring the salvation. |
God2man: Mattew 7:13 -14" Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there at:Narrow Spiritual Path MATTHEW 7 : 13 AND 14 “Enter by the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and there are many who go in by it”. Bhagavathgita says “Manushyaanam Sahasreshu…..” which means that millions of people will try to reach God but only one can reach God. This means that the spiritual path is narrow with one or two devotees only who can reach God. So you should not follow the majority as example in spiritual path. Majority goes to Hell. Will you also go to hell? Diamonds are in minority and gravel stones are in majority. In worldly matters you can follow the majority. But in spiritual line there is only one Jesus one Buddha one Sankara etc., If you are in the association of majority you will be polluted by them since they induce the worldly poison through their conversations (Luke 13: 20 & 21). If you are in the association of the Satguru you will be spiritually strengthened by His gospel. |
Tribulation comes in every human generation. Tribulation should be understood in its inner sense. The sun becomes black. The sun means the intelligence or the discrimination power. Black means the evil direction. The moon becomes red. Moon stands for mind (Chandrama Manasah –Veda). The red colour indicates emotion and anger. The divine bodies escape their orbits. The divine bodies mean the feelings of good people. Orbits mean the paths of justice. Like this one should understand the inner meaning. It is scholastic language. Jesus is a great scholar. The same tribulation is mentioned in Gita “whenever the tribulation appears in any human generation and at any place, I shall come down in the human form to set it right” (Yadahi Yadahi—Gita). In Gita “Dharma Glanih” means tribulation. This tribulation may take place in physical sense at the end. The re-incarnation of the Jesus to judge and punish is nothing but the “Kalki” incarnation mentioned in Hinduism. It is a very powerful incarnation. But mean while the Lord will come again and again to change the people through the divine knowledge. After many efforts, the final step is taken. When you say that Jesus will come again, it means He will come again and again to preach and change. Such interpretation synchronises with Gita also. |
A criminal was sanctioned heaven by Lord Jesus. How? On the cross, when Jesus is present in such a horrible condition, the two theives who were also crucified got the same universal doubt that how the Lord in human form is crucified who is crying loudly asking "Oh! Lord! Why did you leave Me?" This scene will clearly establish the doubt in the heart of any human being that Jesus cannot be the Lord. The doubt comes with a main point that why the Lord was unable to protect Himself and that How can He protect others? But the doubter should also think the scene in which Lord Jesus asked a dead body to become alive. Only the Lord has the power to give the life. Thus we find both the contradicting concepts of the Lord and the human body of the Lord. The concept of the Lord attracts the human beings. The concept of the human body tests the human beings and filters the real devotee out of them. The second thief believed Holy Jesus as the Lord even in that pathetic condition. Such devotion is great and real. He did not show this belief when he saw the Holy Jesus raising the dead body. When a girl loved the son of a king who is in the disguise of a beggar, such love is great. When the king declares himself as the king, every girl loves him to marry and become the queen. The thief did not ask any worldly desire. He could have asked Holy Jesus to give Him the life itself and Holy Jesus could have given it because He is still the Lord even on the cross. The thief asked only protection in the upper world and did not ask for any materialistic boon. Thus he is certainly a higher devotee also. He did not see any miracle and believed Holy Jesus as the Lord, who placed Himself in such a worst situation. The human incarnation is a game of the Lord (Narayana) and human body (Nara). The thief showed correct understanding of the human incarnation. The internal Lord is great and the external human body follows all the natural rules. A blade can cut even the shirt of a king. Even though his shirt is cut the king does not loose his powers and quality of kindness. The thief approached the internal Lord and the internal Lord assured the thief. This shows how realized soul the thief is? That is the highest test for the faith in the spirituality and so the thief deserves complete grace of the Lord. The other thief got confused the Lord with the human body. Like all the other human beings he thought if the shirt of a king is torn, the king lost all his powers. Gita says that even the highest criminal is blessed by the Lord if he is a real devotee (Apichet Sa duracharah…..). The Lord considers the faith and devotion as the criteria and not the qualities of the devotee. We pay for the contents in the cup and not for the colour or material of the cup. Kannappa, a hunter was given salvation by Lord Shiva. The Lord sees the selfless sacrifice and faith, which are the fruits of real devotion and real knowledge. When Lakshmana became unconcious Rama was weeping. Hanuman brought the Sanjeevi Hill and saved Lakshmana. Rama expressed His gratefulness to Hanuman. In this scene even the audience will believe that Hanuman is God and Rama is a devotee. But Hanuman Himself declared that He could do the service by the grace of the Lord Rama only. This is a test for His faith and faith is the fruit of determination that comes out from the divine knowledge. Sacrifice is fruit of the devotion or love. Lord tests your faith and your sacrifice so that you will know in what stage of divine knowledge and devotion you are. |
