ATTENTION❗❗❗

TO THE STUDENTS WHO HAS ISSUES WITH THE MEANING OF *SEMESTER COUNT*
IT MEANS THE SUMMATION OF THE TOTAL NUMBER OF SEMESTER IN WHICH A STUDENT HAS USED UP TO THE PRESENT SEMESTER......

In addition to this information.
U are to count the number of semesters u have use including the present one .

Here is the analysis.

100 level has two semester
100-200 level = four semester.
100-300 =6 semester
100-400=8 semester.

Now let's assuming that u are in 300level first semester. Ur semester count will be =5 but if u are in 300level second semester, ur semester count will be 6. Hope u all get the mathematics.

And note that its this semester count that will bring the courses u are to register for a semester .
So be careful when putting ur semester count to avoid seen the courses u have already done or are made to be in 400 level or 500 level.
Well understood Anthonio but kindly address a situation where a student is admitted through direct entry into 200 level and he is in 300level 2nd semester, what will his semester count be? Will he count from 100level or 200l?

lies!
Humm, it is not untrue oh. That is the recent trend in major courses. It was applied to my result too. Just wait till results are released to confirm unless they decide not to use that format this semester. It was used last semester for major courses only.

300 Level
Even if you have a first class in your first degree and you want to apply to NOUN for another first degree, NOUN will still place you in 200level. I am 100% sure as I have experienced the same. I was advised to apply for PGD Computer Science with my HND distinction in Computer Science. They insisted that no one can be admitted above 200 level for DE in NOUN presently. So, goodlucks!

That is a beta move. Just demand for your statement of results at VI. A particular student saw the result same course he wrote three times consecutively. God will favour you.

It happens to me as well when i was solving the Physics Tma and its like 3questions altogether in Tma 2. I actually wanted to leave it but the system gave me a prompt msg that i have some unanswered questions, lo and behold, i just click any one and when i checked my result ,i got 9.50. I guess the system is also aware of the error.
Thanks Shegsky. I tried that too in one of the TMA s and I still got a 10.

I have o infact i was there yesterday but no one attended to me yesterday probably because of the exams, but how can noun be treating us like this.
just like that they have resused to release this courses since january when results were released and the annoying part is that it affected almost the whole class (infotech) and certificates were issued out to some people that have missing courses too, so whats the criteria for issuing out certificates and withholding min? even my project that was graded and submitted on 3-11-2015 is yet to be released.

Noun pls you guys should have mercy on us and release this info-tech 2014-2015 results now...... i cant imagine re-registering o, the finance, time etc haba.

Pls anyone with information on how to handle this issue should pls suggest asap.....thanks
I will advise you visit Exams and Assessments section of NOUN headquarters in VI Lagos. The fact is that, some results which are not available in the students' portal may be with them. There was a case of a lady who had 3 missing results but were found at the central section. This explains the reason why some students graduated despite their assumed missing results. Results are computed centrally irrespective of the information you have in your portal. Visit VI btw Mon and Fri. You may be asked to put down your details the first day and come for your statements of result the following day. Pls, go with your ID card for collection of yr statement of results. Good luck!

Is the course 3 credit units but total questions is 120 instead of 150? It happened to me too am just thinking they worked it against 150 or it could be an error entirely.
It is a 3-unit course. The total questions was 120 and not 150. It will be a great error for them to have divided a-120-question course by 150. You may not be far from the truth because (88*70)/150 adding to the TMA of 28 will give a 69 (B). This is unfair and a great error because a-120-question course should be divided by 120 and not 150. What can be done in this situation?

It's a PGD programme and I have already passed all the other courses. It's just this one course.
This is a factor of the semester u are and the status of the course in question. If u wrote the course in your last semester and you have amazed the minimum number of units required for every PGD student, then u are good to go provided that the status of the course is Elective. If it is a compulsory course, you MUST pass the course before u can graduate. On the other hand, if the course is an elective and u are not in your final semester , u may register it with the present semester's courses. In sums, elective courses can be waived if not passed before graduation but not a compulsory course.

Do i need to pay the compulsory fee of N13000 before my result will reflect on my portal ? Have been checking since morning but no result.
You don't have to pay the compulsory fee before accessing your results . Keep trying. The problem may arise from an unstable network.

thanks
In this case, register the failed course with other courses this semester.
EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by dave121: 2:47pm On Jan 25, 2016
Talking about the results that have just been released, has anyone ever witnessed a disparity in e-result calculated and the one released via portal. For example, I got 88/120 in a course as revealed by the system. The TMA score was 28/30. By my calculations, exam score should be (88*70)/120 = 51/70. Adding to the TMA should be 51+28 = 79 but I saw a "B" in that course. What should be done to have this corrected ASAP? Your advice and contributions will be highly appreciated. Thanks

Can anyone furnish us with highlight or special information @ the convocation ground? I believe some lingering issues regarding; NYSC participation by eligible NOUN graduates, Missing exam scripts, best graduating student CGPA and other issues would have been enunciated during the speakers' addresses. Thanks
