What You Need To Know About Data
Data are raw facts that are yet to be processed to give a complete meaning. Data can be numeric (0 – 9), Alphabetical (A – Z), Alphanumeric (12th) or Signs and Symbols ( #, @). Datum is the Singular form of Data – a single digit of Data. Examples of Data include: Name (Paul, Benson), BBM pin (52AD0338), Amount ($5000) etc.
Information, on the other hand, are data which have been processed to produce meaningful outcome. Data are combined or manipulated to give a meaningful outcome when we need to produce information. Let say, “Benson bought a new Blackberry for $5000 with BBM pin 52AD0338.” The illustration shows that we have processed various data gathered (by constructing sentence) to produce meaningful outcome.
Computer does the same in producing meaningful results. The computer only understand what we called Machine Language(Binary), so it has to receive the data through the input devices, processed it in the language it understands, and give a meaningful outcome through the output devices.
There are two major sources of data: the internal sources (where data are originated from) and the external source (where we can retrieved stored or collection of data)
There are about six (6) stages of Data processing which are discussed below.
* Data Gathering: at this stage, data are collected from various sources to be processed into information. We can either get it through internal sources or external sources. This stage can also be referred to as the Data Collection stage. Imagine when you go to library to get some data for your project, surf the internet for assignments, asked customer care for details on service etc. You are actually gathering data for processing.
* Data Sorting: This stage deals with the arrangement of Data before we start processing. In our English class, we were thought how to outline our points before writing an essay, we were told after writing the outlines, we should ARRANGE them in order of importance; that is what data arrangement is all about. We filter the ones we need and take out the one we don’t need.
* Data Input: After we have sort out the data, we can now start inputting it into our computer through the input devices(we shall treat this in our coming class). Like the example we use concerning essay, we started writing the essay into our notes which means we are inputting the sorted data.
* Data Processing: The data gotten are being processed to produce a meaningful outcome. The computer is meant to perform its processing work through the Central Processing Unit(we shall treat this as a topic) to produce a meaningful outcome. Let’s use ATM as example here, we input our details into the machine, and the machine process it; if the details are correct, we will receive a favourable outcome, but if the details are not, otherwise is the case.
* Data Output: The results gotten from processed data are received by the recipients. The output can either be in Softcopy or Hardcopy. Let’s use the ATM to explain this - when you receive a cash from the machine, it can be refer to as Hardcopy outcome while the recharge card you purchased through the machine can be referred to as Softcopy. The email you receive is also ......
* The Storage Stage: This is the stage where information are stored for immediate or future use. At this stage, data are stored on the computer for references.

Hope you have learned something new? We hope to continue with a new topic next time.

Religion / What Christians Should Know About MouthAction by Davefirst(m): 9:12pm On Nov 29, 2015
What Is Not Okay In Bed - By Linda Dillow

Is MouthAction Permissible?
MouthAction is or oral stimulation of your partner’s genitals with your mouth, lips, and tongue. The man may stimulate the woman’s clitoris and the opening of the vagina with his tongue or the woman many pleasure the man’s penis with her mouth. This sexual stimulation may or may not lead to orgasm for the husband and wife.

What does Scripture say about this sexual activity? Most theologians say the Scriptures are silent about oral-genital sex. Some believe two verses in the Song of Solomon may contain veiled references to MouthAction. The first is Song of Solomon 2:3:

Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest, so is my beloved among the young men. In his shade I took great delight and sat down, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.

Throughout the Song of Solomon, the word fruit refers to the male genitals. In extra biblical literature, fruit is sometimes equated with the male genitals or with semen, so it is possible that here we have a faint and delicate reference to an oral genital caress. The second possible veiled reference is found in 4:16 (KJV):

Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.

These erotic words spoken by Solomon’s bride are at the culmination of a very sensuous love scene. Shulamith asks her husband to blow on her garden (a poetic reference used throughout the Song for the vagina) and cause its spices to flow out. Of course one cannot be certain, but it is possible Shulamith is inviting her husband to excite her by caressing her with his mouth. She then invites him to enter her and feast on the pleasures waiting in her “garden.”

Dr. Douglas Rosenau believes Scripture is silent on the topic of MouthAction. “This does not make it right or wrong,” he says. A key emphasis in the New Testament is Christian liberty. Nothing is unclean in itself, says Paul (Romans 14:14), and this presumably includes sexual variety. Lewis Smedes, professor of theology at Fuller Seminary, amplifies Paul’s statement abut nothing being unclean.

Christian liberty sets us free from culturally invented “moral” taboos; and since there is no rule from heaven, it is likely that the only restraint is the feeling of the other person. For example, if one partner has guilt feelings about MouthAction play, the Christian response of the other will be to honor the partner until they adjust their feelings. On the other hand, if the partner has only aesthetic reservations, and if these are rooted in some fixed idea that sex is little more than a necessary evil anyway, they have an obligation to be taught, tenderly and lovingly, of the joys of sex in the freedom of Christ.

In Intended for Pleasure, Dr. and Mrs. Ed Wheat says that MouthAction is a matter that concerns only the husband and wife involved. If both find it enjoyable and pleasant, then it may properly fit into the couple’s lovemaking practices. One goal of lovemaking is to fill a treasure trove of memories with delightful love experiences that will quicken your responses during your future times together.

(Thank you Abore Faith. Love you)

Nairaland / General / The Biafran Agitators are Selfish by Davefirst(m): 2:19pm On Nov 21, 2015
THE EGAMANIAC BIAFRANS AND BUHARI POSIT
Three days after Lieutenant-Colonel Yakubu Gowon proclamation that divided Nigeria into 12 states on the 27th of May, 1967, Colonel Odumegwu Ojukwu (of blessed memory) declared the Republic of Biafra; an independent state from the eastern region of Nigeria with their economy and currency. This was initially confronted with war by the Nigeria Government, but was later settled on a round table after two-and-half years on battlefield and claimed over 2 million lives.
In Gowon ‘No Victor, No Vanquished’ speech, amnesty was offered to the rebels followed by the 3Rs (Reconciliation, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation) program. Reconciliation was needed then to bring back the nation’s unity and lost glory after the death of thousands of Nigeria soldiers through disintegration brought by wrong decision; reconstruction was meant to repair the extensive damages incurred on the nascent nation economy and infrastructures; and rehabilitation to restore the nations anthills into one.
The accord was fully supported by all Nigerians including the father and hero of Republic of Biafra, Col. Ojukwu. However, the war still leaves a big blow on the nation as it adverse effect still hunt the East till date as families affected have not gotten over noxious ache of the war, entrusting the region with national administration is story for the gods, while in federal character, the East are marginalized.
The latest agitation to recall the deadly war that ended 45 years ago is a sham to the national unity; the agitators have failed to learn from the consequences of the past mistakes; consequently, chosen to disrespect the fallen heroes. I should concur that most of the protesters, including the Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Biafra Radio, did not witness a glimpse of the war; they should not be deluded by the Hollywood movies that ended in good terms after conflicts.
Nevertheless, their fight against marginalization of the Igbo community, injustice and intimidation against the East could be justify if they have approached dialogue with the federal government, discuss their grievances on roundtable rather than taking to the street to destroy the state property in the name of protest. Inasmuch as no sane Nigerian would support the present administration on the use of security forces on the demonstrators which is against the Fundamental Human Rights entrenched in the constitution, the Biafran agitators should also know that the panacea for headache is not cutting off the head. They should decide to move out of the streets to and let dialogue commence.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari should order the immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu, from detention and should desist from using military approach on the issue as this keeps Nigerians doubting if the president is truly a reformed democrat. The present administration should not stalk on the past mistake of the Yar’adua government that sprang up the Boko Haram terrorist group into limelight after the assassination of Muhammed Yusuf, the then leader of the group.
PMB should seek the steps taken by the tops nations of the world on secession matters. One of the recent is the referendum method applied by the President friend and colleague from the United Kingdom, David Cameron, to the Scotland in 2013.
The earlier Mr. President learn not the trail on the mistake of the last administration by listening to the voice of the people, the better for the administration to achieving the objectives of the Change mantra.

Why should the world see Nigerian value when every slowpoke with a moble device and 2mb can come online and insult their leaders= Clueless, Go-slow, beauty n beast,. Or give credance where needed.
Untill the the east, west and south stop seeing the north as maloos. Until a muslim stop the hate for christians and considers him a brother not an infidel. Ask yourself, how many tims have you gone on your knees and comit your country in God's hand? Hypocrite Nigerians. Only religious for your own good. We blame another man's religion as the cause of problems but do not practice our sincerly.
Until our leaders take responsibility for its citizens, Mark Sugarback (forgive me, I still dont know how to call that name) will see you and I as those crowd on facebook.
I leave you with these questions-
1. Have you prayed for Nigeria today?
2. Do you know how to love your neighbour as you love yourself?
3. lastly, how many lives do u affect a day? How many God bless you do you receive in a week?

Thanks... I so much concur with your view and perspective. You really speak my mind.

Nairaland / General / Facebook, The France Flag And Nigerians by Davefirst(m): 10:51pm On Nov 15, 2015
Barely 24hrs after the ill-fated incidence in the city of Paris by the vicious terrorist group, ISIS, that throw the Francophone lords into moment of mourning, Facebook – the number one social media platform – launched a campaign on the incident that claimed over 120 souls. It allows users of the social platform to mourn with the French citizens by changing their Profile with reflection of France National flag.

Many Nigerians expressed disapproval of Mark Zuckerberg media, claiming that over 18,000 casualties have been recorded in Nigeria over the last 6 years of insurgency which Facebook have been indifferent about but predispose to promote a campaign for France over 120 lives claimed. Articles and comments were broadcast to condemn those who supported the campaign and Facebook. Some of my friends even frowned at me for joining the ‘racist’ social media campaign citing that the platform had never raised a campaign against any Nigeria attacks in the past, why am I so gullible to support that of France.

Do I need to inform Nigerians that souls were lost in the attack? Do I have to remind my social critics that an injustice to one is an injustice to all? Do I need to tell my fellow Nigerians that condemning my act is also racism to me and the whites? Maybe I need to inform my country people that we are the problem of our problems. Do Nigerians need to be informed that while we don’t placed value on our own life, we shouldn’t expect others outside the shore to place value on us. Remember the former president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s action on the 15th of April, 2014, a day after Nyanya bomb explosion in Abuja. Needless to talk on the days it took our dearest former president to react to the adoption of over 200 Chiboks girls in Borno despite countless clarion calls from well meaning Nigerians. Do we remember that it took the SAME international community and social media to call our then President into action?

When we refuse to value our lives but expect the international community to value us. France President, Francois Hollande, in his reaction immediately summoned security chiefs to an emergency meeting to quickly act on the lethal incident, address it citizens through a press conference and assured them of war against terrorist groups. The Whites place values on ONE life of their citizen. Not in Nigeria that the President was captured dancing a day after we lost hundreds of souls in Nyanya bomb explosion; arrested the indigenous agitators of the #BringBackOurGirls campaign before the international community waded in.

The black police will murder a citizen and all we would do is to sweep it under the carpet; our hospitals value cash deposit more than saving human lives in critical conditions; our citizens prefer to gossip around a dying soul instead of saving the soul and Our leader can go all length in sacrificing human life to retain their egocentric post. Why would the international community do what we failed to do to ourselves for us?

The Facebook failure to recognize the Nigerians ordeals was because we have letdown our people in present of the international community. The time is now when every life Nigerian must be treated with care if we want the international community to respect us. We need to stand for ourselves before they stand for us. Without this, Facebook and the international community will continue to look down on us.
Nairaland / General / The Paris Bloodbath, Time For The World To Act, By David Alonge by Davefirst(m): 12:03pm On Nov 15, 2015
With sober heart and deep reflection have I sympathize with the horrific attack that claimed over one hundred innocent souls in Paris, the capital of France. It is a pity that the bedeviled terrorist succeeded in their nefarious and malevolent act hiding under the auspice of the decent religion of peace, Islam, purposely to gain the world purview.
In same stand with Fani-Kayode in his ‘carnage in Paris and the great paradox’ article publish today that the American and the European associates took wrong strategy in tackling the issue at the initial; however, the world should stand in unison to wrestle this bastardly terror that is increasingly defacing the human race. Solidarity should be shown locally and internationally to condemn the evil act of the jihadist fanatics with all available paraphernalia.
This is no time to play politics with issues that concerns human lives, politics should be wade aside and everyone should come on the round table to brainstorm on strategies and approach to curb this menace in Nigeria and the world at large.
Al Qaeda Alghanistan and Middle East, Al Mujahidin popularly known as Al Shabbab in Somalia, Al Nusra in Syria, ISIS who metamorphose from Al Qaedas, Boko Haram in North Eastern Nigeria and the closer regions; and many others are all evil, they killed people not fowls. We must strongly stand in for the souls who met their untimely death in the horrendous acts of the misguided and mischievous serviteur de l’ Lucifer. Let us #SayNoToTerroristAttacks

Nairaland / General / Abortion Picture: I Also Remove Seven Months Old Demon by Davefirst(m): 7:42am On Nov 06, 2015
Thank you for posting d pictures of an aborted seven months baby on your wall yesterday. I read through all the comments and am still reading even till this morning.

I beg to disagree with so many comments on your wall. I am particularly surprised because more of the comments were from women who acted as if they don't know the pains and experience of some of we women. I have aborted similar pregnancy in the past and I thank God I did. I thank God more because I did not die doing it. Let me tell you my story.

I was divorce from my husband over issues relating to juju. I never knew how fetish he was until I got married to him and in the last two years i began to see so many things in our wardrobe. There were days he would come home and i would see fresh incisions (gbere) all over his body. He was from Islamic background and according to him, Islam is not against ajo (doing juju) This side of him I never knew when we were dating.

After two children, he lost his job that was when his juju angle showed properly. We were attending Anglican church in Kaduna. But he began to attend every white garment church, different alfa numbers on his phones. He began to travel to Ibadan his how town consorting with his mum and families. Fetish people I know. Confirmed. At a stage he stopped eating my food. He would enter kitchen and cook and gave me my share. I wouldn't eat. Then accusations began that I was the one doing him. That was the genesis of the end.

Love making became once in a while. I was no longer happy with him and in that situation sex was mechanical. I became pregnant with our third child. One day, six months into the pregnancy, I saw series of WhatsApp discussion on his phone between him and his elder sister who was the go between him and one alfa or babalawo. He was asked to use a charm on me to sleep with me and that the baby will die just before birth.

It was was a new phone which I never saw with him before. I guess he bought that phone to exchange discussion with his family. I saw it his car when I used it to buy fuel. I sent all the discussion to my phone and left the phone there.

All the time I was pregnant, it was not easy. I knew that pregnancy was different. I knew. Nightmares upon nightmares. Dreams of coffin. Dreams of me being buried. Mortuary. I was fill of fears. One day my pastor told me that death was circling over me. I been losing my peace little by little until I saw that text. My mother is dead. That was my confidant. I met my elder sister. One thing led to the other and a doctor promised he could do it. I went for a test and the doctor told me the child is a abnormal. A hunchback! (Abuke) or a dwarf (irara). I knew it.

I was induced and I gave birth to it on a Thursday. That was the end of my marriage. When I retuned home with my family to pack my things, my husband almost collapsed. He could not talk. Till date. Not a single question on what happened to the pregnancy. I guess he knew the game was up. I don't know what happen to the baby. And I don't want to know. I thank God that no one could kill me. Not me. Be you a Muslim or a pretending Christian. I got out of that marriage with my life and two children! And that is what matters to me.

I come to tell every one of you today not to arrive at conclusions early. Shit happens to we women. Only God knows what happened to the mother of that child. Could be a case of pregnancy from armed robbery. Rape. If your daughter brought home a pregnancy from boko haram, will you keep it? Be serious.

Education / Beyond Certification:expectation And Tasks by Davefirst(m): 1:08pm On Oct 29, 2015
BEYOND CERTIFICATION: EXPECTATIONS AND TASK - by Olagoke Hamid and Bayo Azeez

Have you ever run through the thought of life after school? The expectations of your parent or sponsors who have invested in your studies to gaining your certificates, the application of all those things you’ve been thought in class, the life we are going to live after school, the people time permits us to meet in the future and other countless thoughts?
How will life after school look like? Am I going to seek for a job that is, in reality, not sufficient for the amount of graduates produced in a year? Do I really want to do the job my relatives have provided for me? Are the resources there to further my education or should I go back to the street of hustler, knowing fully well that I have gotten some knowledge to improve on what I was doing before?
We all know that in some months’ time, the institution will promote us to the labour market, which has been filled up like the yellow and black ‘Molue’ bus in Lagos. We are now left to take the bull by the horn.
Suffice to say that time will never wait for us if we can’t make use of it. Then let’s draw a plan now before the world plan our life for us. Let us start preparing for the life after certification. I mean let us discover ourselves now and start setting our agenda theories for the tough world beyond school.

Some of us will want to further our career to a higher level, start planning now. Start knowing the institution you are prospecting, find facts and requirements for the course you wish to study and read toward achieving the goal. Remember, gaining admission to top institutions in our country is very competitive; knowing fully well that most of these institutions have low capacity for the teaming prospective students.

You might also want to earn income with your certificate, the journey starts now! Knowing the industry you fit in and packaging yourself to meet the requirement is one major thing you should take with seriousness. Have it in mind that there are over 1.3 million unemployed citizens, in the recent reports by Vanguard newspaper dated 4th of August, 2015, vying to get job in the labour market but the employers have to choose few, why can’t you prepare yourself to be among the chosen few.
Another set of people I am addressing are those who wants to venture into businesses. If that is what you are good at, then follow your instincts. Who knows, you might be the next Dangote of our generation, the next Adenuga of our era. The Entrepreneurship and Marketing skills you acquired in school should be practicalised for a successful business you might want to do. Go back to the books; see what and what you can pick from them that may help your business to grow.

You will agree with me that there are categories of students here that see education as a tool ordinarily to accumulate wealth and affluent; but my mentor, Late Nelson Mandela, once said that “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” and changing the world start with nobody but YOU.

YOU, in the sense that you determine what you do with the knowledge and skills you acquired while in school. But my humble advice for you is to utilize it to affect the society positively and profitably. Influence the society towards national development.

In Conclusion, I will like you to remember that lots of people are expecting a greater YOU after our academic triumphant journey, including that woman in your village that has been challenging your progress (an average African thinking). Our duty is not to disappoint them. It is a clarion call to all of us to awaken your future through rigorous planning and action. You will agree with me that the indispensability of planning to every phase of human’s life can’t be overemphasized. The popular axiom “he who fails to plan, is planning to fail” confirms the truism of my earlier preposition. Having a vision or dream is not enough but action and planning and planning and planning and planning to make a brighter rewarding future possible.

easymoneybag:

I'm also a learner oo
-I noticed that your articles don't have read more tag. You need to add it so that the whole content won't be displayed on the home page
- secondly, the concept of your site isn't clear. Do you intend to monetize the site? if yes, then you will have to add some more pages like; About us, contact us, privacy policy
-your site navigation: you need to also segment your posts into different categories in order for your visitors to easily locate what they want.
- Also post more frequently

That will be all for now.
Don't be offended, we are all still learning.

Please OP... Try to add me on whatsapp.. I need ur chat for some questions concerning blogging. Please add me on 08053280091
