That's probably cause your phone is a two SIM slot phone, each slot has its own IMEI. Try another SIM and it won't work.

This only works once on one phone after which Airtel registers your phone's IMEI number. So u can only do this once.

DaveHert here again with a friendly hack for those in need of cheap data.

Some of you might already know that mtn has a secret plan called the MTN welcome back plan only available to certain eligible SIM cards. Where u can enjoy:

250mb @N100 (valid for 3 days)
1GB @N200 (valid for 7 days)
4GB @N1000 (valid for 30 days)

But the thing is that the plan only works on eligible Sims for only 3-4months before you are no longer eligible for it. But I have been using it for about 2yrs now on every MTN SIM I own. Cause I figured out how to get it to work on any SIM. Even a child would be able to figure out the truth of it if he/she looks closely at it.

What is MTN Welcome Back?
MTN Welcome Back offer is an offer that rewards you customers that have not used your lines in the last 30 – 180 days with 2000% bonus on your first recharge of the month for 3 months, you will also enjoy special data bundles for the same period.

Let me put it in plain English for you. Simply get an MTN SIM and remove it from your phone for 30days and you will automatically be eligible for the MTN Welcome Back plan once you put it back in your phone. I have multiple Sims (two is enough) that I keep dormant for 30 days after which I put them back and am eligible for another 3-6months. Easy as pie!

And lastly, after 30 days put back the sim and recharge just #100 which will automatically be deducted from your SIM to activate your eligibility and will be converted to 2000% bonus. ( Unless you want more bonus make sure your first recharge is #100 cause any first credit recharge will be converted to bonus).

The aim here is that MTN wants to reward you for coming back to the network. Use it wisely like I am.

TIP: You can subscribe as often as 20times in a day. Thus by doing the 1GB @200 *5 times, You get 5GB for 1K and by doing the 4GB @1000 twice, you get 8GB for 2K. Thank me later

not actually , 100gb was my total worth of usage ,the 1500 for 2days but the 17500 unlimited for a month are all included... it’s been 2weeks of me subbing.. I’m at 129.56GB now

You still got to download things worth a 100gb for 1500... That pretty sleek if you ask me.

sorry for the delay in response , the activation of your sim shouldn’t take more than an hour if network is okay , and tell the person that sells you the sim to help you subscribe , and to call you once it starts going , take their number and keep calling them until they do it, if you are lucky shouldn’t take more than 20minutes.. you can also chat ntel from their twitter handle @ntelcare , they reply
