Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Airforce DSSC 2016 Recruitment Out! by DaveONchE(m): 7:13pm On Jun 17, 2016
I can't blame those people who started this whatsapp group thing. They are smart and know how and where to fish for prey/customers. I will call them Employable Graduates because they are as wise as me!

I blame those ones dropping their phone contact in a public forum as this when at a time like this, people are even scared of dropping their email addresses due to annoying spam messages that are mostly scam. Where your inbox is flooded with useless messages from spammers such that the important messages you want to see, you won't be able to find there again. These are people I call Unemployable Graduates!

If same questions and answers you are seeking on whatsapp can be asked and answered on this thread, and even documented for the next set to of applicants to learn from, then what help is having a whatsapp group side by side with it?!!!!

I won't dive into the negative effects of leaving your phone number on a public forum like this. If its whatsapp group you want, please keep dropping your contact. Them no dey tell blind people say rain dey fall!

Is this what you know or you are also assuming? cos i am assuming that I can use my secondary school to attestate for me. I school in the North and that side is a no go area for me now
A snapshot of a chat with the army support team to clarify two disturbing questions. Now it is what I know and am no longer assuming. Goodluck!

Here is a snapshot of my conversation with their support team, i asked same question too, bottom line is, you have to print two reference forms, one can be signed by the same person signing the LGA attestation, then look for another referee to sign the second reference form.
Thanks for sharing this brother!!!!

In addition, DSSC promotion is automatic and smoother than the SSC, DSSC if am correct gets promoted as their years in service increases wereas, SSC fights for promotion attending courses and and writing exams to get promoted, competting with regulars (NDA graduates)

SSC are trained for pure combat (combatants) as such they work at fore front of combat zones at war times, any other time they are to manage barracks, platoons, commands etc.
I will still prefer SSC to DSSC coz while on SSC, within 5years, you attain the rack of a captain and SSC can get to the rank of a General while DSSC ends in Colonel.

SSC officers commands troops while DSSC do not

NOTE: if you are shortlisted for SSC, you become 2nd leutenant but your actual mates are those In thermal 1 in NDA because you are promoted to captain together, but DSSC don't wait to get captain. This means at a point SSC will salute his DSSC mate

Thanks

nice info, brother.
but I got confused somewhere.
you said that the SSC got to the rank of a General, while the DSSC can not...how is it that that the SSC will salute the DSSC at a pointhuh?
pls, shed more light.
He Got it All mixed up!

SSC compete with NDA graduates who are RC, because once you convert from SSC, you become RC, same as the guys from NDA.

DSSC on the other hand, after converting, they become DRC and the competition for the rank of Bragadier General is very difficult for them as RCs mostly take up such positions and with age on their sides, they are most likely going to be retired at the rank of a colonel.

DSSC are specialists/professionals that do office work, therefore, the need to pass through professional exams is compulsory for them before promotion which takes place every 5yrs. Unlike SSC and RC where it takes 4yrs intervals and the need for exam may come from the rank of a captain, colonel or general.

DSSC hangs the rank of a leutenant immediately after being commissioned in 6months. SSC hangs the rank of a 2nd leutenant immediately after being commissioned in 9months for 18months and then promoted to a Leutenant. RC hangs the rank of a 2nd leutenant immediately after being commissioned in 4/5yrs from NDA for 6months and then promoted to a Leutenant.

NOTE: in the Military, your senior even by a day from the day you were commissioned an Officer would always be your senior! My battery don low, hope this is enough for now.

Meanwhile, relating to a thousandth, what is your application number? Lets speculate the number of applicants
A friend applied on sundai and was 64+ in thousands! Hopefuli, under SSC, total applicants should fall under 70+ in thousands.

Are you sure the age criteria you saw was for DSSC/SSC

I just can't understand why some guys keep mixing 'DSSC/SSC Application' up with 'Army Recruitment'... They are not the same.

Read below:
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
3. All applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
 a. Be a Nigerian as defined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
 b. Be a male or female between the ages of 22 and 35 years, while medical consultants be not  more than 40 years of age by October 2016.
c......

or you just might have been in the wrong forum all the while.
SSC is different from DSSC
For SSC
b.   Be a male or female  between the ages of 24 and 29 years by October 2016.

For DSSC
b. Be a male or female between the ages of 22 and 35 years, while medical consultants be not  more than 40 years of age by October 2016.

Hello my potential officers! please can someone shine more light on the issue of LETTER OF ATTESTATION FROM FORMER INSTITUTIONS, your contributions will highly appreciated.. thanks
First of All, whoever tells you the issue of Letter of attestation from former institution is not taken seriously is only Assuming! Discipline is the core, you don't assume in the Army.

The Instruction is
"e.    Candidates must submit a letter of Attestation from their former institutions.",
in my opinion, for SSC/DSSC u get from the institution u got your degree bt if Recruit u get from d school you got your WAEC.

If you are a graduate, then you must have defended a project under your department, supervised and approved by your HOD. So therefore, all you have to do is go back to your department, write an application for letter of attestation addressed to your HOD and wait for his approval.

He'll confirm through the exam officer if you have been cleared with a clean slate, he may still need to see you one on one to assess you.

Mine even called a General and forwarded my info immediately to assist me in getting in and wrote d Letter of Attestation, asked the typist to type it in a letter headed paper, coloured printed, signed and stamped.

But of course, that wasn't because I was a first class, a 2.1 or a 2.2 student but simply just a good manner of approach gave him the impression that I must be a calm person who respected constituted authority while in school.

Explain yourself properly to your HOD, and you will get an Attestation letter wether from UNILLORIN or any oda school for that matter provided you are not a terrorist while in school and that's what the Army is trying to get out of you.

Hope dis helps nd gudluck!

So you are a military personnel abi you're the force PRO? guy you get problem.
I think everybody is entitled to his or her own opinion. Its your choice to take someone else's opinion as a certainty even though he aired it with certainty or take it as an Assumption.

The fact remains that if it had actually taken place on that day, nobody would still be back here thanking him for being certain. Situation would have been worst if after being shortlisted, they end up missing out cos they had assume it won't hold but now they still have a sure date.

You guys are making it look as if it was his info that forced those pple to travel down to Kaduna of which they did on there own free will bornout of the fact that nobody wants to endup being the victim of an assumption!

Doctor,

If you fail the age test, it means your age is not within the stipulated age bracket for the recruitment exercise. In clear terms, if you are above 28 years and you applied for the position of ASP in this recruitment exercise, computer will filter you out!
I just discovered the NPF usually attract like minds. grin grin

The Computer as we know it works on GIGO processing (wat u Give Into it, it Gives Out). Unless Over 800k graduates on their normal senses were not opportuned to read through the application criteria, only a few applicants would apply or give an age limit greater than what was required!

The Computer do not suspect and weed out applicants! The NPF as I have known would always dig up words to straighten a case they don't have any evidence for. So unfortunate a lot of Nigerian graduates can still be easily confused about what is at play here.

They keep saying the process is CoMpUtERized, in otherwords, its the computer that does everything, as you typed in your Credentials, the computerized systems suspects you and weed you out cheesy cheesy

So you don't have a case if you can't bribe your way in, the computer suspects you and weed or filter you out... LWKMD!

With all this Faith preaching and prayers to God, I pray it doesn't end after being Recruited into the NPF.

Somehow am beginning to feel there's some kind of Spell on that institution! They all prayed fervently before getting in and end up dirty.

I would luv to serve my country whole-heartedly in the NPF, but like my father who was forced to resign for not corporating with the top corrupt cabals, I won't pray to just join the NPF but ask God to go with you all and help you stand up patriotically for what is right to make the NPF free from all forms of bribery and corruption that has led to the loss of so many innocent lives all across the country.

God bless you all!

Hello pals I applied for ssc but I'm still serving(nysc). Pls when are we expected to be called up to kaduna. Thanks.
Are u sure your application was successful because NYSC certificate was among compulsory certificates to be uploaded or you uploaded something else therehuh

I think their website was designed such that after you apply successfully, the site administrators will go through your profile information and uploaded certificates to Approve (to be shortlisted) or Disapprove (Can't be shortlisted). So only names of Approved Applicants will be automatically shortlisted.

My thoughts tho'!!

I discovered that not too many people want to join the Army....nobody wan die na. But I really appreciate y'all for keeping us up to date on this application. Real men are Soldiers!
Just chill till after the closing date for application, that's when you will understand Nigerian graduates aint smiling with the rate of unemployment.

Joining the army doesn't mean you are going to get killed. As a graduate and a Second Leutenant after the rigors of the military training, you are good to stay alive by war or by Boko Haram unless you lack the basics of being a Graduate!

I don't expect some dropout/no school at all Boko Haram Nigga to beat down a graduate with military training either by Gun battle or by Hand Combat. That could happen under a corrupt Government and not now that the system has been properly reshuffled.

Sometimes its not just about the heavy Muscles or Big Guns but just simple Brain tactics. Casualties are not accepted, neither is defeat, so getting killed as a trained graduate officer is not an option.

Get your mind prepared to fight under any condition and return alive, pay attention to every instruction during training and most importantly, apply every single knowledge you got as a graduate and make it count!!!
See u all as Future Leutenants and beyond by God's grace.

A brigadier general helped me signed and stamped mine but I forgot to collect a letter of good character from him.. What do you think I do? Had to travel down to get it signed. Do I just visit my alma mater to get the letter??
I think there is still time to ask him to write it and if you have someone there who can go and get it from him for you, they can help send it to you. I stay in Lagos, but mine was signed and written by a General in NDC and was sent down to me.

Since he is a Brigadier General from your state, I think its better you get it from him. I won't advice getting from your alma mater (If not the Principal of a Gov. Secondary School and is not from your state of Origin) instead.

They were specific in the guideline that it must come only from the officers listed, I.e, Military Officers from the same state not below the rank of squadron Leader or equivalent, Police Officer of the rank of Assistant CP and above, LG Chairmen/Secretaries, magistrates and principals of Gov. Secondary Schools from your state of Origin.

Hope that helps!
