As much as i hate to do this i just had to. Because he just pushed me to the wall. If you see the way he changed tone ehn.. Bouncing my calls and the rest.. I dont even trust him enough now as to sending my phone back to him.e fit be the end of the phone.. Thats why i came here.

Good advice. He should go with at least 2 soldiers and muscle the guy into replacing that phone. In Nigeria, most of the times it does not pay to follow due process.

i am all the way in the east. Thats extra spending. And time consuming. Even a waybill back cost 5k . That was why i offered him the 40k deal. Before he came up with the talks of warranty expired

Nothing to fear, they are very honest. It's Nigerians that go there and ask them to produce substantial products to maximize there profits. Don't you know Apple has a big factory in China? IPhones are made in China because of cheap labor. I buy my screens on AliExpress with no issues. Just use the seller I recommend and your good to go.

Op, be very careful oh. You seems not to be experienced with mobile phones repairs. Don't buy a used screen!!! Go here and order a new screen with benzle frame from AliExpress and pick it up from Nipost closet to your location. Go to a reputable repair shop and pay them to change it for you while you wait, don't leave it for a second.

That's why buyers need to be careful not only on Nairaland but on all other platforms where phones are sold for cheap...but believe me @170k that s8+ is not cheap at all even with the ink on the screen..i have sold several clean S8+ for 170k .

I don't know why people won't have conscious selling bad device to fellow man like u. Just last month I shipped in S8+ and when I received the phone I noticed the phone charges sometimes and other times it won't charge.

Had to test it for 2 days to be sure of the problem. I had to ship the phone back to the US using UPS express shipping costing close to 25k. Because I have conscience not to sell a phone to a buyer that I know that later the buyer may experience same problem. It's very unfair to be dishonest about what you are selling. At least the 25k didn't kill me or my business. That's how it ought to be.

nice saying.. and that way you get trust from ur customers.. but just see this guy..even after he noticed that i had found out the fault.. he was unrepentant .. he tried to put it that i was the one who did it.. asin after 6 days... then he went for the half payment stuff. Then finally said the warranty has ended. Even after i offered him a lesser payment plan. The kind mind set people have is alarming. Na GOD go judge am.

From my experience with Samsung Phones, Your screen is dead. You will have to get a new screen. Sad truth is that the cost of a new screen + your cost price of 170k = A new note 8 and some change.

Its quite sad that this happened to you. I am sure the seller had seen signs of this screen which was what made him sell the phone at that price to you.

My advice, since he said the phone comes with warranty, then go to his place with either a soldier or a policeman let him replace the phone (REPLACE THE PHONE OOOO, NOT CHANGE THE SCREEN).. Always run from fixing the phone, cos getting an original screen is very difficult. 10% chances.

Now you will spend money, maybe close to 50k for the police or soldier. But it is worth it if you are getting another phone

Sorry about this nonsense you are going through. Most of these sellers are not interested in satisfying a customer. They are only after their pockets.

But please next time you see these new phones especially from Samsung and Apple that are now all screen and all, watch carefully. Screen is the main ish. Don’t trust anyone. I repeat, do not trust anyone. These phones are mostly screens and shouldn’t be taken lightly. That’s how someone will want to sell s8, s8+or note 8 and be saying small crack, tiny crack, etc at 40k off the brand new price . take away the screen and phone is useless
Just track this guy down if you can and be more careful next time
