suckerpunch: Guys, I need ur advice.

I was given a course I don't like(Ind. Chem) but I was aiming for chem engr. So I'm thinking I should resume with this set then write another jamb to get my dream course. What scares me is that Jamb stated "No matriculated candidate should take this year's jamb!"

What do i do?

That has been in their rules from time to time.

SaintRobs: Also confirmed it from a junior lecturer of science dept when he came to print his son post jamb result,i was on campus then,bt the management may change the decision!

How could that be possible? We are resuming early may even the 2013/2014 set that resumed in August were not merged .

How to print admission letter



To be able to print your JAMB
admission letter, you need to
purchase the e-facility scratch
card from any JAMB office closest
to you. After, you can now
proceed to the steps outlined
below to print your JAMB
admission letter.
Step 1: Go to JAMB portal at
www.jamb.org.ng
Step2: Under 2014, click on
‘Admission Letter Printing (DE
2014 Inclusive)’
Step3: A new page will pop-out
requesting for PIN and Serial
number of the e-facility scratch
card and Registration number.
Step 4: Supply the required data
in ‘Step 3′ above where required
Step 5: Finally click on Submit to
access and print your JAMB
admission letter.

.. A new e-facility card is needed. Go to jamb.org.ng and click on 'print admission letter' under the expected year. Load the card in the following space seen on the page and download the pdf file.

Save it on your mail for safety sake.

Timmytimmy: *sigh*Thank you very much for the encouragement but I think you misunderstood me. I'm an ex-predite, and a proud to-be student of Great Ife, chemical engineering is the course.
The point I was trying to make wasn't to discourage anyone or cause regrets but I'm stating a truth that would have helped many if they had known.Too many are under the delusion that they would just finish from OAU, walk into a firm and get employed, hence many have forsaken many opportunities from other good schools . It's really nothing but childish sentiment.

But why are you so keen on "employment" Life is more than studying at OAU even more than the Bsc you acquired from Harvard University.
What do you have to offer the society,what is your relationship with the course you studied; a fall back course or the one you chose for yourself.
If you feel OAU is the best for you please don't compromise, afterall this is your first and hope is not yet lost more lists are still coming out.

Timmytimmy: I used to think so too but I've observed some trends in this current decade.I know you love the school, we share the same love for the school but the facts must be faced;gone are the days when companies and firms used to consider what school a person went to.Employment in Nigeria is based mostly on the grace of God and a few supporting factors like result,IQ,and charisma. The bitterness of this truth doesn't make it less true.
If you think otherwise, please state your reasons.
