A Kogi State High Court sitting in Okene has sentenced a fake Pastor, Peter Micheal Michonza to eight years imprisonment for operating an illegal medical facility in Okene Local Government of the State.
Hon. Justice Abdullahi Umar gave the judgment in Okene on Tuesday, April 25.
Peter Micheal Michonza was operating an illegal psychiatric home, camping young women, resulting in the deaths of pregnant women and young girls.

Reacting to the court judgment, the Chairman of Okene Local Government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad lauded the judiciary for upholding the laws of the land and sanitizing the society against evils and criminalities by men who in some cases operated under the cover of religious and humanitarian activities.

The Council boss advised the people to always patronize only registered medical facilities as religious houses are not licensed to diagnose or carry out any form of medical treatment. He warned the people especially youths to learn from this and always engage in legal and productive ventures.

Outgoing British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, has again reiterated that Nigerian politicians who violated human rights or perpetrated violence during the 2023 election will be punished.



Speaking to Symfoni in an interview, Laing stated that there might be a visa ban for such politicians or other sanctions would be instituted as punishment for the act.



She also called out the Independent National Electoral Commission for failing to deliver on its promise of ensuring that election results are viewed by Nigerians in real time. Laing said this created room to manipulate results and also affects INEC’s credibility.

Well expected since the former governor openly endorsed the PDP guber candidate while others were not actively supporting the APC presidential candidate.

Before the general election, there was a popular statement that the "Igbos are divided" and won't pursue one aim. However, after the election, people no longer say such, they are changing it to different thing. Even though it has always been the main point of argument from those from the west and north, for it to die-down means that it has always been a lie.

So, what really happened? Did the voting pattern from the south east change that narrative?

Nothing can be done about it since the country lack ATM at many locations. People in rural communities won't have to travel to the suburbs before they can access their cash. Also, this has provided some youths with job opportunities.

Imagine having to travel to the bank with transport of #300 when you can withdraw with same amount at the nearest POS.

I left secondary school 2009 hoping that I would get admission immediately and start the journey of my career but it didn't go as plan , got a job while in ss2 to help the family and hoping to stop before I leave school but I couldn't even after I left , started Unilag DLI in 2015 but stopped few months down the line due to my dad got seriously sick of stroke so you see I tried but like they say "problem no dey Finish " now fast forward to now this is really affecting me cos every study abroad agency I contact on student visa always return with the reply of you've passed the age of studying ,the school might give you visa but the embassy won't believe you're going there to study but want to japa so they won't give you , I have gone through many articles even the one on here advising Nairalanders to always do it yourself but trust me I get so lazy to read through all that long write ups and research but I promise will if I get a sure way to move that will yield good results , I just want to travel out and start life afresh , I am sound very industrious, intelligent and smart (not trying to hype myself tho) sometimes I just wish the western world will just overlook all that too paper work and just let people come in by things they can do with their hands and head , I Co own a small business with a friend but we always argue on little things and we struggle to get customers but we do make some amount of money at the end of the month but I don't want to continue my life like this going forward I'll start a family soonest and will be needing more , I can comfortably sponsor myself to travel out and my choice of country is Germany ,Japan or maybe Austria (any other good country and best way to go about it will be well appreciated) and most importantly I want to thank the brains 🧠 behind this wonderful platform I've been a follower for years thanks for all you do and to my lovely nairalanders you've been so helpful to everyone seeking help one here I appreciate you all on their behalf .

Though I'm not an expert in travel guide but having read some threads in this section, it will be difficult to settle legally without following study part.
Even those who have work experience in good fields like tech may also need to have certain academic experience.

It's either you write new waec (with new age) then apply for jamb and acquire at least OND. then apply for either masters or degree. This way, you will have better options but it will take more time.

Note: anything like tourist visa will frustrate you since it will be difficult to change residence in most of the countries.

boss, I know what happened in 1999 and the fact that the founding fathers of PDP that gave the slot to the two yorubas are igbos, but there have been a disruption with the emergence of APC in 2015. So, there have been many events that will not make that rotation happen this time that the igbos themselves rejected APC from unset. Our political investment is in PDP and they would have given the ticket to an Igbo man but did other igbos in the party stood in one accord? No. Even Wike who is very close to the igbos has to play his own personal game.

Aside, look at how El rufai fought for Tinubu when they planned to give the ticket to another person. Did other South East PDP governors fight for their rights when Wike was trying to scheme the south east out? None was vocal.
So, my point is that since many events haven taken place, we should have remained in PDP work for Atiku's Emergence then grab the presidency after him with his Northern popularity. Rather we are here clamoring for a better Nigeria which No other region believes in.

Check out the results of this election coming out from the north. That is what we should consider and not the yoruba votes. Besides, yorubas yorubas who have benefited from Tinubu will not abandon him for another person. Again, APC controls the Southwest.

The first lesson my brothers should learn is that you don't play politics with emotions. Politics is a war and all the contestant use everything in their disposal to fight it.

The only way for an Igbo man to grab that presidential power is through alignment with other people, but will that happen when we abuse others? No.

Let me also use this opportunity to share a message I received from hell earlier this year.

It was while I was yet asleep, i heard the voice of a lady screaming, "Hell is too hot for me, please help".

I suddenly woke up wondering who the lady that said it might be. Although I didn't see anybody, i was really moved by the cry for help, but what could I do? It was already too late.

This is exactly the reason why, despite all the opposition and mockery, and that it is not a very appealing message and one which many want to hear, we keep preaching and calling people to repentance and to get into the Ark of God to save themselves from the wrath to come, because we know that the door of the Ark could be shut at any moment, and then "soon" would become "too late" for them.

There's no definite ark parked anywhere that will convey people to heaven.
Righteousness is daily lifestyle and it should not be communicated as a one-stop ark anywhere.

Facts here is that if you give your life to christ 30 time without living a life of righteousness and faith, you aren't going anywhere.
