Highest paid Nigerian musicians: It’s no doubt that 2017 was a phenomenal year for Nigerian entertainment and musicians in particular. From one sold out event to another. Even wedding were sold out (According to our brother, Oritsefemi). Well, considering the recession Nigeria faced last year, one would think that our musicians will clamp down on the their charges, but no! Not at all. In fact, there has been an increase in most of our celebs’ performance fees compared to 2016/2017. Yesterday some Nigerians on twitter were expressing worries at the number of Nigerian professionals with very good paying jobs, some with N600k salary, relocating to European and North American countries like Canada and others. Read here.

The comments were quite interesting with some Nigerians sharing their reasons on why they are relocating. A lady with N950k per month sai she is also relocating.

One of the commenters shared the sad story of how his 49-year-old former boss with N850k per month job who relocated with his wife and children and couldn't get a professional job because his Nigerian certificates were not recognised.

It's always an honour when they reach out to me and say, 'we want you to DJ at one of our parties.' You know I did it last year, and the experience was amazing. And then I went back into the house again some weeks ago, and it was good getting to party with the housemates.
I will tell you, it's not easy to be locked up in that zone. If I was the one, I would commit an offence so that they would evict me. Those guys are really trying. The party was good. The feedback was awesome.

A 28-year-old former student of Covenant University has narrated how he was introduced to marijuana and how it's currently ruining his life.

The young man with the Twitter username Naija Class Captain said he was a bright, intelligent child who tried the substance just to experiment in his secondary school days, but it became a part of his life and it got so bad that he began to steal to fund the lifestyle. As a result, he dropped out of Covenant University.
