I bought gold right before almighty NFP with entry at 2294.95. I saw a massive profit from that 1 minute candle that shot up and I refused to closed. And right before my eyes, profit starts dwindling till it's about to shake hands with my BE.

Omo, I saw shege for gold hand today ooo, I have been gold bearish pre NFP release and then NFP turned out badly coupled with a higher unemployment rate and a lower average hourly earnings. usually this poor data would have send gold raging high while the DXY sinks to hades but instead gold only spiked up and down was range bound for the rest of the day. gold stopped me out of my short trade which I have been swinging since FOMC and then when I bought gold, it stopped me out again. I'm overall still bearish on gold but I'm very pissed off today.

even more disappointing is that US30 should have been flying like a werey but the girl just dey move up like snail. though still holding on to my long trade on US30 as I entered at 38600 with SL at 38500 and tp at 39000

Btcusd daily has formed a double top and to me it could go either way and more risky to take. Except I see a daily close above it.

I think BTC is bullish fundamentally, we just got the BTC halving just last week, and as the saying that history repeats itself, when ETF got approved by the SEC it was a buy the rumor sell the news kind of event, but few weeks after, the big bois begun to increase capital inflow into BTC which we saw with the rapid spike up to 73k, I believe the big bois are gradually increasing capital inflows into BTC, personal I would like to see BTC range bound for like 2 to 3 days with a bullish or slightly bullish market structure b4 I make a move, just my 2cents though.. cheers

Evening folks, so Powell gave a hawkish speech this evening by 6pm, reiterating the need to keep rates higher for longer due to sticky inflation as the Fed admits that they aren't making progress on inflation and the US labour market still remains robust, so the may likely hold rates as long as they need to which is bad news for stock indices but gold seems to be well supported by geopolitical tensions and central banks buying. First of all, I speak from my own limited experience and perspective, and there are many times I have been right about the market and ended up losing trades or money in the end. there are also times that I didn't know what was going on or I wasn't sure about what was going to happen in the market but still had a profitable trade. the point I'm trying to make is that we can't always know what will happen in the future or in the markets with utmost certainty but either right or wrong we can always manage our risk appropriately, hence why I advocate for being adaptive with your analysis

I guess a better rendition of what I meant to say is that being right doesn't put money into ones account if you don't manage your risk appropriately. maybe you may agree with me on that sir...

To be honest mates, being right or wrong doesn't really matter, what matters is that one should always be adaptive in cases where your analysis turns out to be wrong. We are always trying to do the impossible in this market every day when we analyse our charts and that is predicting the future. being adaptive does help a lot in changing market conditions. whether gold's gaps up or not, I'm definitely going to be adaptive, if it fails to go up, then I'll accept I'm wrong and then follow it down to the next support zone which is 2320. cheers

I beg no dey leave your trades over weekend if you are not a whale or shark or heavy investor. you way still dey struggle hard as a day trader, you wan trade gap or weekend sentiments? Na from experience college i dey advise so. Gap trading will ruin your account fast if care not taken. Why not wait for market to wake up to realities and study where to go first before entries? Brokers never give you spread of 120 pips or more before as the market resumes, and wipe your stops immediately? and they wont take the responsibilities? unless na demo you dey trade, its not advisable.
There will be lots of opportunities this coming week as we expect instabilities in the market due to war and rumors of wars.
