Barcelona 6-1 PSG (6-5 agg) UEFA Champions League.
Unbelievable! Barcelona complete greatest comeback in
Champions League history as Roberto nets stoppage-
time winner.
Arsenal may have failed with their miracle comeback
attempt, now it's Barcelona's turn to try and score four
unanswered goals as they host Paris Saint-Germain in
the Champions League. The Spanish league leaders
suffered a 4-0 humiliation at the Parc des Princes in
their last-16 first leg clash and now lie on the brink of an
early exit from a tournament they have won five times.
Here is a brief recap of how the goals flew in at the Nou
Camp

Following the alleged beating of a corps member Esi
Uwakwe serving in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State, by
some officers of the Nigeria Police, the National Youths
Service Corps (NYSC), on Tuesday said that the case
facts were grossly exaggerated. Authorities stated that
the corps member who is serving in a school, went
beyond the acceptable approaches to discipline by
causing knee injuries to one of his students whom he
instructed to crawl on her knees. A statement issued by
the Director of Press Unit, Mrs Abosede Aderibigbe, in
Abuja, revealed that the act angered the father of the
student who took the matter to the police, adding that
“in the course of handling the case, an overzealous
officer slapped the corps member.” The statement
reads in part:”Management wishes to inform the public
that findings of investigation launched by the Scheme
show that the facts of the case were grossly
exaggerated, especially in the social media. “Our
findings showed that the corps member, who is serving
in a school, went beyond his responsibility of teaching
and adoption of acceptable approaches to discipline by
causing knee injuries to one of his students whom he
instructed to crawl on her knees.” It maintained that the
scheme’s position on the matter was that both the corps
member and the policeman were wrong in their
approaches. However, NYSC noted that the Zamfara
State Commissioner of Police, had also invited all
parties to his office for amicable resolution of the case.
It added that the policeman in question has since
apologised for slapping the corps member. “Management
wishes to stress that the picture of a man with cuts on
his back, which is being circulated online, is not that of
corps member Uwakwe, but merely posted by some
with intent to cause mischief and further mislead the
public. “While we sympathise with both the injured
student and the corps member, whose inexperience
might have resulted in his excesses in his approach to
discipline, we wish to restate that the publicity the case
generated would have been normal if not for the
exaggeration. “Management remains committed to the
safety and dignity of corps members, but wishes to
advise those on teaching assignment to always exercise
caution in handling disciplinary cases and to, especially,
refer serious cases to their school supervisors to be on
the safe side,” it added. |

Authorities of the National Youth Service Corps
(NYSC) have ordered the removal of all corps
members from a secondary school in Kaura Namoda,
Zamfara State where a corps member was beaten up
and detained by police for disciplining an erring
student.
TribuneOnline reliably gathered that the corps
member named Michael was serving as a teacher in
Nasara Standard Academy, Kaura Namoda, when he
reportedly asked a student to kneel down as
punishment for misbehaving in class.
The punishment reportedly got a big man in town said
to be the student’s guardian enraged and he proceeded
to get the corps member arrested by the police.
One NYSC source said the corps member was
assaulted by the police who also detained him.
TribuneOnline was told by a credible NYSC source
that “the DG has taken up the matter.
The assaulted corps member has also been asked to
come down to Abuja for proper debriefing and for him
to make a formal report while all corps members in
that school have been withdrawn.” The source said.
Meanwhile, Zamfara State Police Commissioner
Shaba Alkali has ordered the release of the corps
member, while the father of the student was said to
have apologised to the corps member
However, other corps members subsequently wrote
this SoS which has been trending online:
WHO WILL HEAR, AND NOT CRY?
The entire corps members serving in Kaura Namoda,
Zamfara state are bleeding out purple blood. Our hearts
are thumping out: strong rhythms of pain. Our dignity
has been trampled and mangled with reckless impunity.
God!
Today a corps member, Michael, serving his fatherland
through sweat and bile; rough roads, hunger, merciless
weather; and the shame of 19800 in the face of a
smothering economy. Michael—serving in Nasara
Standard Academy perceived as the shining light in a
tottering secondary education system in Kaura Namoda
— was today brutalised, manhandled and reduced to
nothingness by a brainless team comprising of the
richest man in Kaura Namoda and his equally wanton
boys. What was his crime?
Michael had punished his student who happens to be
this man’s ward. A simple kneel down. Michael who had
nurtured these block heads with patience and love.
Michael, who had taught with empty stomach till letters
on the chalkboard danced like rampant music notes
before his eyes. For all of us like Michael, who have
stretched the capacities of our strengths and
sensibilities to serve a stifling system. For all the ‘
under the sun and in the rain’, what have we gotten as
reward?
This notorious man, clenching his cash ridden fists,
recruits the help of the police and in that shameless
trotting of Zombies, storms Nasara Academy to crucify
Michael like a criminal. He was punched like a sack of
millet and stripped of humanity. He was beaten, beaten,
and again beaten like he stole karats of gold in a jungle
market. O God! My fingers are itching, and it’s like they
will drip blood. Michael was driven to the Police Station
where the real torture awaited him.
They removed what was left of his pride as a Man
serving his country. Then, they flogged and flogged
him, and when their energy sapped out, the Evil of a
man threw wads of naira notes about, and refueled their
animalism. Michael was a heap of sorrow and a
container of hot painful tears. As some of Michael’s
colleagues arrived and tried to raise their voices
against the escalating reign of heartlessness; the
Police men, some apparently drunk, threatened with
pointed rifles, slapping and pushing them….
Hear me if you are a corps member in Kaura Namoda!
We have been abused to our bones. We are now just
remnants of pride sliced into irredeemable pieces. Our
hearts have been pierced by hot pellets of searing pain.
Our heads are now buried in shame. The little essence
of our ghostly existence has been thoroughly erased.
We are now empty, just plain empty.
Who will hear this and not cry? How can we move about
when our sinews are depleted? Who will walk the long
and dusty paths to schools to teach? Who will serve the
masters under a sun that burns through skin and fluid?
Who will hear this and not cry?
Nothing has been done. The engineer of this massive
evil is an untouchable. A stinkingly rich sacred goat. He
has played ping pong with our dignity and thinks he will
get away with it because he is rich. Because our
society is rotten and deceased of sense. Because our
policeman are a bunch of kitted area boys. Because
‘money’ has shredded the spines of our moral make-up.
Michael is lying in a police cell, writhing in raw pain—-
a soul beaten beyond repair. He has been physically
wounded but more serious is the mental injury. But he
is not alone. We are all wounded like Michael and our
soul is burning from strife. Who will hear this and not
cry? We therefore call on:
The state Government;
The State Coordinator NYSC;
The Emir of Kaura Namoda;
The Commissioner of Police;
Every Khaki and Jungle boot in Zamfara state and
Nigeria as a whole. Let us roar and be heard. Tell the
next person to tell another. Let our tales of woe reach
the peak where justice crouches. The brutalisation of
Michael in a land where he is vulnerable and hapless
will not go without notice. Justice must be done. Corps
members must be protected. Our dignity must be
restored. The pride of khaki and Jungle boots must be
reinvented.
Today, Michael was battered for all of us. Shall we hear
and look away…who will hear this AND NOT CRY?

I'm still thinking if there are some Nigerians that are
forced to watch that program - that's the reason for the
hate posts/comments I see online everyday. There are
many stations you can choose to watch any other thing.
This is a frigging T.V show primed to entertain adults. If
the show is offensive to you, simply call DSTV and have
them block off the channel from your decoder.
Personally, I don't like the show because I think it is a
time waster. I haven't seen even 1 minute of it but I will
not come out here bashing it.
Many of you wouldn't mind being one of the contestants if
you had the opportunity - You want to be rich and famous
like Ebuka, Gideon Okeke, UTI amongst others. Besides,
what are they doing in BBN that many of you do not do in
real life?
Whenever I switched on my TV I don't bother going to
watch BBN, I have no interest in it, not because I am
claiming saint or whatever - I just don't like it. Why don't
you be like me who prefer watching NAT Geo wild, go to
other stations to watch educative programmes instead of
coming online to rap about BBN. You don't like it, don't
watch it. It's that simple. |
In this Nigeria, an average Southerner is a weakling. A
born coward with serious complex issues. A fool and an
idiot. A slave. A typical example of a butterfly who
thinks himself a bird. But this is not even the problem.
The biggest problem is, he doesn't even realise he is any of
those things.
The only thing an average Southerner is good at is
blowing high sounding grammar and acquiring degrees
upon degrees but when it comes to things that matter
most, he goes to slumber.
An average Southerner has this twisted mindset that the
best way to be seen as a patriotic and detribalised
Nigerian is by degrading, shaming and disparaging his
own tribe for no just cause.
Abacha stole this country blind, such that 20 years after,
his loot is still being returned to the country. But in spite
of this, people like Buhari publicly swore that he
(Abacha) stole nothing. But to an average Southern
idiot, Jonathan's 5 year rule is the reason we have no fuel,
no light, no good educational system, no nothing! Jonathan
is the worst thief in Nigeria's history. IBB, Abdulsalam
and even Buhari who was accused of stealing billions of
dollars as PTF boss were all saints. Why? Because they
are Northerners.
Was it not a southern he-goat named Obasanjo who
publicly accused Jonathan of training snipers in
Pyongyang (North Korea) ahead of last year's election??
He made the unfounded allegation just to please his
masters upnorth. Now that we have the highest figure of
senseless deaths of civilians in the hands of both state
and non state actors under a Northern president Buhari,
have you read any letter from OBJ??
When Shiites were massacred in Zaria, it took less than
48 hours for Chidi Odinkalu of the National Human Right
Commission to establish a commission of inquiry and
summon the army chief but when unarmed IPOB
members praying in a school field in Aba were murdered
by the security agents, did you hear even a loosely worded
condemnation from Chidi Odinkalu??
Check out the list of those asking that Fayose to be tried
for treason for writing to the Chinese govt over Buhari's
$2 loan, they are 80% southerners. And most of them have
not even read the said Fayose letter at least to know the
reasons Fayose adduced in the said letter. These are the
same fools who kept mum when Sango Abdullahi, Sani
Kaita and some so called Northern elders publicly
threatened to make the country ungovernable if power
wasn't returned to the North. When Buhari made his 'dogs
and baboon' speech and directly caused the death of
southern youth corpers, these morons kept mum.
With all the numberless killing of civilians under this
regime and its open support for the genocide the world
fourth deadliest terror group (the Fulani militant) has
continue to visit on Nigerians, have these highly educated
southerners bothered to write a strongly worded petition
to the ICC just like Nyako, El-rufai and other northerners
did to Jonathan??
These southern fools will gleefully yell 'Kanu should rot in
jail, he was preaching hate on radio Biafra!' But these
clowns maintained sealed lips over the hateful and
inciting broadcast by 'Radio Chanji' and Arewa Radio
upNorth. Such is the degree of the soulless hypocrisy of
these southern senseless hypocrites.
These nitwits were on rooftops telling us how
incompetent and corrupt Jonathan was and how his
removal was a patriotic duty. Today, things have all gone
worse under Buhari and you would think that these
southern imbeciles would be at the forefront calling for
Buhari's resignation but no! They are the ones defending
the Daura born ex-soldier even against the worse things
for which they crucified Jonathan then.
Now I know why Jonathan appeared weak as president
and spent his 5 year term trying to please the North.
He knew he had nobody behind him. He knew that we
Southerners are weaklings only good at blowing high
sounding but empty grammar.
These 'efulefu' southerners will never question why
Buhari has never condemned the murderous activities of
his fulani kinsmen but these same 'anumpamas' will read
this post and quickly tag me a bigot.
Slaves who think themselves masters!! |
1. In 2011, Governor Shekarau of Kano State contested for
the Presidency on the platform of ANPP against EX-
President Jonathan of PDP. So did Nuhu Ribadu of ACN
{apc}. Ex Gov. Shekarau was a Minister in Ex-
President Jonathan's cabinet & a member of the
President's party & Mallam Nuhu Ribadu is the PDP's
candidate for governorship of Adamawa State. How many
were killed because of them in 2011?
2. President Obasanjo and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
were thought to be sworn enemies. When President
Obasanjo took over SW Nigeria in 2003,
Gov. Tinubu became "last man standing" against him in
ACN/Lagos.Today, Obasanjo is Tinubu's "Navigator" &
Tinubu is treasured guest at Obasanjo's birthday. How
many died believing they were enemies?
3. Former Govs, Engr. Segun Oni and Dr. Kayode Fayemi
of Ekiti used to be political foes and now they belong to
the same party. Both are alive as friends & some folks
had died fighting for them.
4.Between 2007 and 2010, Tinubu spent virtually his last
kobo to ensure he sent Segun Oni out of the Ekiti State
Government House.
He did. Today, Oni is the National Vice Chair of APC, a
party same Tinubu, not another one o, is the national
leader.
5. Former. Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola never saw eye
to eye with Governor Aregbesola. Now, they belong to the
same party, some people died for both, but were they not
always friends?
6. President Obasanjo was prepared to throw VP Atiku
Abubakar out of Aso Rock. Who would have thought that
Atiku would visit Obasanjo in
Otta farm after all the brouhaha; politicians belong to one
big family. They have their interest at stake, do not die
for them especially when you have nothing at stake.
7.Tinubu once told Obasanjo that he was the "problem of
Nigeria". But same Tinubu went to Obasanjo that they had
finished the construction of the opposition ship. They
wanted him to be the navigator! The old fox readily
accepted
8. Audu Ogbe once told opposition parties there was no
vacancy in Aso Rock. He was national chair of the ruling
PDP then. Today, he is a minister under a government
being controlled by that same opposition.
9.Nasir el-Rufai, the diminutive governor of Kaduna
State, once told Buhari that he was not a presidential
material. Today, not only is Buhari president but the
loquacious el-Rufai is a governor on Buhari's party. He
bashes PDP to no end nowadays.
10. Fayose and Fayemi once mounted same rostrum,
campaigning in Ekiti with Fayose carrying placard at his
father's burial in 2009 that they should vote for Fayemi. In
2014, same Fayose contested against Fayemi and sent him
to the Former Governors' Club.
11. Majority of top politicians shouting 'APC, Change!' were
shouting 'PDP, Power!' in 2011!
Now, all these took place within the last TWELVE years!
Not that they took place before you were born hence, you
did not witness them. Therefore, if you still want to kill
yourself because of any politician please go ahead.
12. It is no more news that Ex-president Jonathan visited
Obasanjo in otta on the 20-01-2017. Obasanjo and Jonathan
walk hand in hand and tour Ibogun village laughing and
cracking jokes.
Hmmmmmmm
BY THE TIME THEY ARE BACK IN SAME PARTY IN 2019,
WE WILL BE MARKING THE THIRD ANNIVERSARY OF
OUR IGNORANTS IN UNDERSTANDING THE ANTICS OF
THE Politicians !!!!!" |
'I PREFER TO PLAY IN BIG TEAMS' –
COURTOIS JIBES AT MIKEL AS HE
INSISTS TROPHIES MATTER
Playing for big teams and winning titles only
matter in football, according to the Belgium
international and Blues star
Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois aimed a thinly
veiled dig at John Obi Mikel following his move to
China, insisting nothing matters aside winning titles
and playing for big clubs.
The Nigeria international joined Tianjin TEDA after
failing to make an impression on the first team under
Antonio Conte, who took charge in the summer.
There, the 29-year-old is expected to earn £140,000
per week in the Chinese Super League that boasts of
former Brazilian teammate, Oscar.
And Courtois, who played alongside the midfielder at
the Stamford Bridge, used his point of view to mock
Mikel for his move to Asia rather than battle for a
place in the star-studded Roman Army – where he is
guaranteed of winning trophies.
When asked by Mirror on why he never took the same
path as his former teammates, the 24-year-old said:
“Some players are more concentrated on what they
will do after their football career and want to make
sure their lives are financially settled.
“I prefer to play in big teams, earn a little less money
and win trophies.”
Mikel, during his spell in England won two Premier
League crowns, four FA Cup successes and one
Champions League – scoring six times in 372
appearances. |
This may not be the best time for me to write on this because of misinterpretations, but I can no longer resist the push. "Husband Scarcity" has become one of the challenges faced by many young girls today. If you go to prayer houses, majority of the intentions are prayer for a life partner. And this calls for concern. . Casting our minds back to the time of our mothers and grandmothers, was there really much of a "Husband Scarcity" problem? Or, maybe there were more men than women then, or there was an adequate corresponding numbers of both genders. I don't think so. Maybe then, the women had values and were prepared to build a home and not park into a built home. Then, once a young man comes of age and can at least feed himself and his wife, he goes out in search of a wife and the woman really appreciates him and helps him to build a future. . What am I really trying to say? We created what we now see as "Husband Scarcity" for ourselves. Today, the reverse is the case. Ask an average girl to define her dream husband; you get things like "he has to be tall, handsome, educated, fair, and rich, own a house at least, and be presentable" and then she adds "God fearing" in order not to sound so worldly. Then, check the number of girls around you and the number of men that meet that standard, and you will see the problem. You hear girls say, "I cannot suffer in my father's house and then go and start suffering with a man." What a wonderful dream! What if from the beginning, you have everything you want and there is no suffering, and later in the marriage, the table turns around, then comes suffering? Will you run away? No one prays for suffering, but it is good to start small and end big, than start big and end small. The problem is that the description majority of girls give of their ideal man is virtually the same. When 50 girls want the same kind of man and the man that fits what they want is just 1 man, and the man can only pick one. Then, what becomes of 49 others? They simply start lamenting of "Husband Scarcity". Another irony of our time is that it is hard, due to the face of our economy to find a man who is of marriage age who possesses all those things these ladies want, legally (except those involved in Internet fraud); even the number of those in Internet fraud is not enough to match all those searching for already made husbands.(This is why they always fall for the wrong ones who would use and dump them. Then they later carry the "all men are the same saying".) If you look around, majority of the ladies of substance, of good value and virtue, who are ready to build a home with a man who has prospects, are married and not complaining of husband scarcity. . The easiest way to find a husband now, is to change your view of who a husband is. A husband is that man God made and then saw that it may be hard for him to really actualize his purpose for making him, without a help mate and then made the woman and gave to him, and he felt complete and fulfilled MARRIAGE IS NOT A POVERTY ALLEVIATION PROGRAM. It is a mission of building the family of God here on earth. For those who see marriage as a way out of poverty, it is a way into bondage. Women are HOME BUILDERS, not HOME WARMERS... DON'T CONFUSE A MAN'S PATH WITH HIS DESTINY. Where he is today, may only be a route to where God has destined him to be tomorrow. Another truth is that YOU MAY BE THE ONLY FAST MEANS TO THAT HIS DESTINATION. Join in alleviating "husband scarcity". PICK UP THE RIGHT VALUES. . I am not saying that you should pick anyone that comes your way and talks of marriage, not all men are husband materials. What I am saying is that you should stop setting your standard on material acquisitions or physical appearances. Look beyond the physical. WHAT MAKES A MAN WHO HE IS, IS NOT WHAT HE OWNS OR HOW HE LOOKS, IT IS WHAT HE IS MADE UP OF. And that which he is made of is, most times, not seen with the physical eyes, only its effects can be seen. Marriage is a permanent thing. Whatever is seen is temporal and that which is not seen is permanent. |

Borno state Governor Kashim Shettima on Sunday flagged off the distribution of food items and farm outreach targeting 40,000 victims of the Boko Haram insurgency through the support of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which donated one million dollars to the Borno State Government as a post conflict intervention that is meant to support victims who are returning to their communities. Governor Shettima launched at the support with the distribution of 25 kilogram bag of rice and 10 kilogram bag of beans to each of 1,100 households at Mainok village in Kaga local government area, 45 kilometers away from Maiduguri. The Governor announced that officials of the State Government working with the Gates Foundation used the $1m to procure the food items and commenced funding of 100 hectares of farm where beans is being cultivated. He explained that 200 farm-families will be allocated tilled and fertile land measuring half hectare each along with improved seeds, fertilizer, chemicals and technical supervision so that they can start growing food crops. The Governor also announced the release of two trucks of maize grid to add to the food procured with Gates donation. “We are grateful to God for creating people like Mr Bill Gates and his dear wife, Melinda. These leading lights of philanthropy across the world have shown love to the good people of Borno State at a time we are on the ground and looking for any hand to hold in trying to lift ourselves up, the Governor said. Officials of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) witnessed the distribution with good will presented by them. The Commissioner for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement in Borno State, Dr Babagana Umara Zulum explained that two trucks of food items as well as two farms in Damboa and Konduga funded through the Gates donation were ready for immediate access on Sunday while more communities were to benefit in a continuous exercise. |
After several failed promises of the payment of allowances to ex-agitators, the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brigadier General Paul Boroh (Rtd) has again, appealed to ex-agitators in the Niger Delta region not to lose hope in the Federal Government. He pleaded that the ex-agitators should continue to have confidence in the ability of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in effecting the payment of their monthly stipends despite seeming hiccups in the payment process. The ex-agitators had suspended protest over the non-payment of their allowances few weeks ago when Boroh promised that the money would be paid in a matter of days. However, the allowances were not paid and there are fears that the ex-agitators might stage a violent protest in the Niger Delta region over the non-payment of the allowances as promised. According to Gen. Boroh, the Central Bank of Nigeria, which is saddled with the responsibility of effecting the payments of stipends directly to the ex- agitators in the region, in line with the Treasury Single Accounts (TSA) payment system, is making every effort to clear the outstanding months, adding that it was only wise to bear with the payment process, which may have its challenges. The Treasury Single Account (TSA) is a public accounting system under which all government revenue, receipts and income are collected into one single account, usually maintained by the country’s Central Bank from where all payments are made. One of the leaders of the ex-agitators, General Yeimowei Ebi, said the ex- agitators were tired of the many failed promises of the payment of the allowances by the Federal Government. He said the ex-agitators would soon hold a crucial meeting to determine the next line of action. |
The country's number one citizen has praised the Dream Team VI for making the nation proud following their victory against Denmark President Muhammadu Buhari has hailed the Nigeria's U23 team for showing an 'unconquerable spirit of the nation' in comprehensive 2-0 quarterfinal victory against Denmark in Salvador. Buhari expressed delight after he saw Samson Siasia's men reach the semi-finals courtesy of goals from John Obi Mikel and Aminu Umar at the Arena Fonte Nova. He urged the team to remain focus and purposeful and tasked Nigerians to pray and support the team as well as the Nigerian contingent in Rio 2016. "Again and again, the unconquerable Nigerian spirit has come to the fore, showing that where there is a will, there's always a way," Buhari said in a statement. "This was a team that was not given much chance, but which has now advanced into the semi-finals. Go for it. "Go for the gold, and let the Nigerian banner be held proudly aloft once again on the global stage. We are almost there. Let's go. "And this, we shall demonstrate in every sphere of our national life," he concluded. After Denmark victory, the African U23 kings will face Germany in Sao Paulo on Wednesday for a ticket to the final billed for Maracana. |

He has been working round the clock to ensure the player is available for selection on Saturday,” the official told Goal. “Coach Siasia believes Etebo is a strong character whose rating is very high. So we are confident he will be back in action. “As it is now, the chance of the player featuring against Denmark tomorrow is 50-50, but the final say lies with the doctor because if Etebo is certified fit, it would be a great news for entire team.” Etebo has scored four goals in this championship and he would be expected to lead the Dream Team’s forward line as they eye a semifinal ticket. |
The midfielder's massive move back to Man Utd is only the beginning, the manager predicts, while assuring that clubs on a budget can nevertheless still compete Arsene Wenger has predicted that football will soon break the £200 million barrier for a single transfer, as he insisted Arsenal could still compete in the money-dominated sport. Paul Pogba caused a stir this week in completing an £89.3 million move to Manchester United, while bonuses could push the record fee even higher. And Wenger, whose biggest outlay in the current window has been £34m on Granit Xhaka, only sees an upward trend in prices for the future. "It will not be long before we see a £150m or £200m signing," he told a press conference on Friday. "Since I started in the game I said, at some stage, it has to stop but as long as football develops and becomes more popular you would say that more money will come in. "What is interesting to see is that in every single local business you just struggle to survive. "Or you have a world business and the money comes in — Google, Facebook or football or any other sport, they are worldwide and you cannot set any other limitations in the income." The manager, however, pointed to the example of Leicester City to show that money was not everything. "Manchester United are the richest club in the world along with Real Madrid," he said. "Not many people can compete with their finances but that doesn’t make the difference because at the moment on the pitch we can compete. "That is the most important thing. It’s not a financial competition, football is a performance competition. "It is becoming more like a financial competition but that does not always reflect the Premier League table. "We have to make sure that is the case. Leicester showed that last year. Never before have there been so many teams who could win the title. "But that can make it easier as well because it means that everyone can drop points. "There cannot be just one team that walks away and nobody can catch. The hope will be alive for everyone in the Premier League longer than ever. On that front, if you are consistent it could be easier." Wenger and Arsenal kick off their Premier League campaign against Liverpool on Sunday. |
