Thank you so much. Please do I need to measure the land before meeting with Lawyer? I mean to be accurate on the issue. |
@Sisi Kill, Thanks for your comment and advice. am grateful. |
@Omonuan, am so happy for your declarations here for me. And I seize this period to say a very big thank you. Who knows, I might be the one to give a rigid point, which will lead to my people's being free from this harassment. The most humiliating, the old ones of my brothers are illiterates, in the sense that they are not educated at all. Meanwhile, i happen to be the only one that looks at the side of gathering informations from legend/information gurus like you all here. They even restricted us from building a block house, rather we built with muds. (to me; in this modern-world, its a shame to my understanding). Please I need much sources, where I can gather articles that will boost my compile-points. especially the source of (10 years is the standard in Nigeria, you become the owner of the land.) I need more of your helps and any others here please. I will arrange for meeting with a Lawyer too. Thank you once again, am grateful. |
I am so happy to run to great people of Nairaland like you all; for help and advice. Just get worried always when I realize that our compound, which we have lived more than 70 years, now some people are asking us to pay for it, or park out. The whole Story goes like this>: My Grandfather had three wives and that makes up three families today in our compound. I learned that this land we are living in is owned by a kinsman, which he gave to my grand father as a gift about 70 years ago or more, because my own father is 67 this year and he is the 2nd to last in the whole sons of my grandfather. I learned also that when this our kinsman gave this land to my grandfather, my grandfather appreciated for the gift, with what he has then, (tubers of yam, some kola nuts and snuff). But its been 5 years now the youths from this our kinsman's compound (the grandsons) has been asking us to leave the land or rather pay for it. I want to know, is there any Law backing any individual or group of people who have lived in a land up to like 60 years to become the right owner of the land without being disturbed again by any, who might call themselves the owner. Am just seeking for help so that I can be a source of salvage to my people back home. please help me in any way. Please what do we do to retain this our compound? |

I wonder what I will call all these comments. can't one of you be reasonable as regard the Poster's Quest, rather than replying to a floating object called the 1st replier? Am not here to reply any bad brought up manner, @poster, all i can tell you is to plan very well before you go,,because it worth planning for. Like you can start checking on how to get a work and study base there. Like you will be doing your Masters and as well be working. its possible just alert www.google.com.ng and dig well on how to go abroad as a Msc student; probably, you can gather much more than scrolling through all these lost comments. But @all, am advising that we jointly make greatNairaland a place to rely on rather than spoiling the good works of our heroes (The Nairaland Inventors) 1Love @all. Cheers! |

@Liss, am glad you replied me. Presently, am studying here in Nigeria. Please I need more of your advice on how to go about this profession and also regarding my Sociology/Anthropology Studies. Thank you. |
My Dear what I will tell you is that you need focus. Believe God and you can be successful. I will like you to plan with the little that you can and re-enter your part-time programme Okey? Just make some savings first, at least the one that can pay like 2 years fees in your part-time and go in again and never dream of giving-up. And talk to God for His grace to be abundant to you. It shall be well with you and remember that its a matter of time. I have a similar story but its not what I will start telling you here, but out experience, just be focus and never say its getting late for you,. Because God knows. |

I advice you go for the nursing institute. You should know that it is skill certificate that gives jobs nowadays. U can always use it for further studies, either by de or some-kind. But look at how hard it wil be if you fail the pume and as wel the nurse admision? Think wisely and know dat u always go in for ur degree anytime. But limit access is seen in nursing skuls. |
She is generally Good. even when there is no make-up, I Still make her No. 1. (NB: I, ) |
To me oo, that is honour to the actor and also a good remark to the family members. I will call on my state governor, Martin Elechi of Ebonyi to do the same. After all Sam Lolo Efe' grew in Abakaliki, so he deserve even much more than what Enugu Govt. can do for him, OR what do you think? |
