I applied for visit visa, ECO singled out my employers account balance and erroneously claim it was low by assuming the account was a Naira account, when it was clearly stated on face of rhe statement that the account is domiciled in USD(this was stated in my LOE). My own balance is actually more than 1k USD, i only added employer’s account as this is a work sponsored trip.

My immigration history, i just returned from the US last month and going back next month, facts which were submitted, I have 10yr canadian visa, i have sent email to home office, but my concern is the generic email response i got from UKVI for the paid mail, but i really want to correct this error as this is my second refusal, i had first refusal last year b4 US, Canada and Schengen Visa. So i am not about to just let this slide, i want to understand the PAP process please.

However, their applications were refused, and the primary reason cited was that my previous application stated they would not be travelling, implying that our current travel plans raised concerns.

It appears the decision may have been based on a misinterpretation of our changed circumstances, using details from my previous application without context.

I would appreciate your guidance on how best to proceed. Should my family reapply immediately with a detailed explanation of why they didn’t travel with me previously, or would it be wiser to wait some time before reapplying?

Husband has a visa and in getting says my wife is not travelling with me.

Few months later, wife got a win in her life and decided to go enjoy her win in UK, she's refused because husband said several months ago, he's not traveling with wife. What rubbish is this?

It's their country and I'll suggest you reapply and tell them that you chose to specifically address the refusal, premises on the fact that your circumstances changed and if it had not changed you may not have considered traveling after your husband didn't initially intend it.

My initial suggestion was that Yiu should build your account for six months

Opening Balance should not be less than ₦5million

Then end of month 1 Salary only drop into the account

Spend 1/3 as expenses keep 2/3

Do that until end of 5th month

At the start of the 6th Month, apply with you bank statement for 5 months

So let's say you want to apply at the start of June, print statement a day or two before biometrics

Let's say travel date in July, let your TB maturity date be middle of June, so it will not reflect in your account, for them to flag as large deposit.


This is what worked for me 100%

The point on address doesn't make sense to me honestly. The visa officer was just fishing for a reason - any reason.

Same thing for point on opening balance.

Do you have any travel history? If you don't try schengen or US visa. For now, they are not so strict on what goes in and out of your account like the UK. Use them to build your travel history.

As for this refusal, I'm honestly trying to understand the reasons for the refusal. They do not make sense to me.

Schengen is more focused on closing balance.

Italy and France for emphasis, none stressed, and visas were issued at first attempt respectively
