Oga aircrafts is not by age but scheduled maintaince. What kicks them off the market is cost of operations. Eg airbus a340 is a good aircraft also considered very safe for long operations over vast bodies of water due to its 4 engine layout ie multiple engine redundancies, but the aircraft was abandoned by airlines as 2 engine jets had reliable engines and hence less fuel burn. Some a380 were retired as young as 8 year olds.
B777 one the other hand is considered as the Toyota camry of aviation, a reliable 2 engine aircraft built for long distance with high passanger load and good fuel burn. Even the successor 787 carries fewer passanger and has had several design and build quality issues.
The 777 is a good aircraft and 21 years is not considered old.

If another Airline is doing what Air Peace is doing, most of the supporters of Airpeace would criticise them.

The plane is over 20 years old, very old School plane

Singapore Airlines used the plane, abandoned it and bought a newer plane, then our own Air Peace took it over and started using.

The fabric are outdated, the screen are bad because Air Peace refused to upgrade the Aircraft.

What they should simply do is take that Aircraft back to Boeing for remodeling, put newer screen that supports USB.

If they want to compete, they need to do better

Today Sunday 23rd of March Lagos to London flight was announced cancelled just three hours to departure time and fuming passengers were offered alternate flight 24 hours later as the solution to the cancellation if thier flight.

The air line representatives that came to anounce the cancellation were appalling and totally unprofessional.

Rather than making attempt to offer alternate immediate solution to the problem, their best offer was a promise of an alternate aircraft 24 hours later.

Several passengers who were irate made their concern known as some has either deadlines to meet, work or critical meeting to attend at their destination London on Monday morning.

The scene at the departure lounge was alarming as two elderly ladies who were on wheelchair was among the stranded passengers and no attemot was made by the airline representative to prioritise attending to this elderly wheelchair bound ladies.

Attention of airpeace representative who came to announce the cancellation was drawn to the two wheelchair bound ladies to been seen to and priotise but they could be bothered rather they were more concerned about trying to disperse everyone to go and spend a night at some hotel and will be contated by email later.

Majority of the passengers who appered to be UK residents made it known that they only bought the airlines ticket which they dont normally do in order to patronise Nigerian brand airline which turn out to be a total let down.

The prayer they say is " pray dont let Nigeria happen
to you" infact Nigeria happen to one elderly European lady who for some reason bought nigeria airline ticket which in turns stung her as her visa in Nigeria will end midnight tonight she said and she will be illegal due to no fault of her own.

Its a shame airpeace today lost not one customer today but potential over 200 customers due to the firms total unprofessionalism and lack of empathy to thier customers concerns of losses whuch some say they will incure and majority who are also concerned for failed deadlines due to the consequence of the airlines failure.

What a shame and truly a big SHAME to airpeace airline.

If not for sentiment and the stupid tribalism that would follow, Airpeace should not be allowed on that London route.

I have travelled outside Nigeria on several occasions (Not that this concerns you anyway) but I have never used Airpeace before, I only use them on local or domestic flights

I went to UK in December and I'm going again next Month.

I've never used Air Peace, but someone last week that used them complained that the screen did not work and he was bored for the entire 6 hours flight.

If you can avoid Air Peace, please do so.

KLM, Lufthansa, Air France, Qatar and ET are not only cheaper but are better in terms of quality of Air Planes

But I am not sure if foreigners without permanent residence are allowed to do so. I only have temporary residence at the moment. Because I wrote to Ireland embassy some time ago, they said foreigners are adviced to go back to their respective home country to apply. So I don't know if UK will do same.
But I will keep trying to get in touch with the UK embassy here, while I continue to go through all this trend till then shaa.

As Cashmadam said, in order not to waste funds, you need to be grounded in Nigeria, make money in Nigeria for at least 6 months to be able to apply from Nigeria.

I stood as the family sponsor (I have enough money to sponsor us both)
We didn't submit my husband's acct statement, we only submitted pay slips.

When the decision came back, I was granted, while my husband was denied on the basis that even if I am sponsoring the family, he should still have presented his statement to show his financial status in Nigeria.

When he applies again, we will attach that. However, I wanted to ask if I can still stand as a sponsor?
