Hello @davodyguy and everyone in the house. I have been reading this trend and all the advice. To be honest I am learning a lot. Thank you guys.
Please I have a question concerning this statement of account. I would love to apply for a UK visit visa around ending of this year 2025. That is when I will finally return to Nigeria.
But at the moment, I am not in Nigeria, I live in a different country. I work, but not official job. So I am paid my salary at hand. Which is upto 1 million naira if exchanged. I do save about 70% as salary income after expenses.
So my question is as someone who is returning to Nigeria to apply for this visa. How do I go about with the bank statement that will be presented? I want to apply for the visa same month or the next month I will be returning. Definitely at the moment, there is no means to convince the UK officer on how I receive my salary. Because I received it at hand. And if I am coming back, I will have to withdraw all my savings, exchange them to dollar and come back. So I don't think my current bank account will be necessary to present since I will be leaving the country final. So could you guys kindly advice me on how to go about the bank statement. How do I build this bank statement. I have both dollar and naira account back in Nigeria, but can't make transaction with them or send money to it back here. If I come back, take all the money and put either in my dollar account or naira account, then apply for the visa. Do you think it can be granted?

Depending on when you plan to travel, the screen issue might have been fixed. Perhaps, you could be lucky to have a seat with a working screen.

Are you flying on the 777-300?

They interchange airplanes that ply that route

They either use 5N-BWI Boeing 777-300. This one is the one they bought from Singapore Air and it is 21 years old

or

Boeing 777-200 which they bought from Emirates, now 26 years old.

On their website, the seat map there is 3-4-3 and it is the configuration of Boeing 777-200.

So you that used 5N-BWI Boeing 777-300, the seat arrangement is 3-3-3

I even emailed them and they said they don't even know the plane that would be used on my travel date, that they can use either of the two.

Challenge is that seat 18 on 777-200 is not same seat 18 on 777-300.

On their website map is only for 777-200

This is a big deal

Attached image is for Boeing 777-200er which is on their website. You can see Seat 18 which is 3-4-3 per row.

But information available now is that the 777-200 is not been active for a while and it's under maintenance. Hence all Nigerians flying with them are now on 777-300

Can't they out that on their website, so you can pick your preferred seat on the actual plane?

They have been called out several times on this, but they have refused to change.

Some people would say we should be patriotic. Patriotism to some people is when you see Tinubu implementing bad policies and you must refuse to call him out.

Patriotism is not calling Air Peace out to fix screen that they have refused to do since March, 2024 when they UK direct flight resumed.

Like poor electricity, bad roads etc, Air Peace is showing us they can't manage infrastructure.

Pathetic that I have booked already and I know they would never refund me

UKVI has denied several people on this same thread for their business status showing inactive on CAC portal, talkless of one who didn't even register business at all.

A search on this thread will enlighten you.

When Yiu started the business in 1960 or 2025, it would be more legitimate if it has a legal status in line with CAMA

Fix those points and apply later in the year.

I know when people's minds are fixdated, they may be difficult to advise, but in your interest, abort mission.

What business do you do that you generate the funds from? You'll have to explain your business or work to UKVI

Those that charge you 20% to help you arrange statement of account, may not tell you the truth about UKVI denying people over incoherent source of living and personal circumstances.

If ₦1m enters your account monthly, where's the money coming from?

What do you mean you intend using a bank as POF?

How can you be using same account for personal and business dealings?

I as stated, you can apply when the TB is still some days to maturity, so the funds would be available some days to travel date.

I'll suggest you package employment status well

Pick travel date,

Let TV maturity be some days to travel

Let's say you're applying on 5th August , TB can be 31st of July, but you must have printed your statement before maturity.

Don't let the TB drop into your account, to avoid issues

Let your state balance be like 2 or 3 times travel expenses, then TB value would then be stated as travel savings.

So you let them know that without TB, balance in your account is still sufficient

You will be surprised not many even know they can apply for a signed bank statement on their bank App, you can in Wema for #50 i the think.

It is free with some banks sef

I use Optimus and Providus. I can get 1 year Statement and the signature is on it for free.

They have made life easy for customers

There's more to this traveling thing and what works for Mr. A may not work for Mr. B and all circumstances differs.

Bank statements whether generated from Your mobile app, combined monthly statements from email or directly from the banking hall, will amount to same thing.

Am in the Uk on a graduate visa with more than 1year remaining. I got refused on the picture I attached below.

I submitted all documents even paid for 3 to 4 tourist tour itinerary in Paris with £7,800 bank statement with my employment letter.

Same thing with GIGL. I mean, it’s good that some people are now saying they are receiving their passports within 24 hours, but this is not the testimony of most people. This has been the biggest downgrade since switching from TLS to VFS. How can you pay much more money for even worse service? Terrible!

Local businesses should earn the trust and patronage of customers by providing quality services that at the very least rival foreign competitors, if not better. They cannot charge exorbitant prices, provide horrible services, and expect us to close our eyes and give them our money simply because they are Nigerians. That’s not patriotism. It’s insanity.

The two Boeing 777-300 and 777-200 they are using on London trip were previously used by Singapore Airlines and Emirates respectively. Both are over 21 years old.

Yes, both planes and damn old, reason the seats are terrible, screens are not working and still use remote control/not touch screen

Emirates retired the 777-200 in year 2015. They don't need it, but leased it to a Nigerian company
Singapore Airlines retired the 777-300 in year 2017 or thereabout. They don't need it, but leased it to a Nigerian company

Boeing 777-200 1 26.4 Years (A6-EMK Boeing 777-200 Emirates Oct 1998)

Someone posted above that he had to use Qatar Airways, funny enough, Qatar is even cheaper than Air Peace and you might have the opportunity to board the almighty A380 from Doha to LHR. The only difference is that Qatar does not fly directly.
