Good news to our Fulani herdsmen. Business will boom lol 4,000 Cows Will be Flown in to Ensure Milk Supply as Qatar Battles Blockade News18.com Updated: June 13, 2017, 1:20 PM IST
New Delhi: A Qatari businessman has taken the aerial route to tackle the supply shortage of fresh milk after several gulf nations severed ties with his country. Moutaz Al Khayyat will fly in 4,000 cows in 60 flights to tackle the supply crisis, Bloomberg reported. “This is the time to work for Qatar,” Khayyat, chairman of Power International Holding said. The bovines, brought in Australia and the US, will be flown in through Qatar Airways. The milk production is expected to start by June-end. Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Yemen and the United Arab Emirates had severed diplomatic ties with Qatar over Doha’s alleged support for Islamist militant groups. Qatar has denied those charges.
Most of the fresh milk and dairy products for Doha's more than 1 million population came from Saudi Arabia up until a week ago. But the isolation that started on June 5 has forced Qatar to look at new friends to import food and other materials. On Sunday, Iran had sent five planes of vegetables to Qatar. “So far five planes carrying... vegetables have been sent to Qatar, each carrying around 90 tonnes of cargo, while another plane will be sent on Sunday,” Iran Air spokesman Shahrokh Noushabadi had told AFP. Three ships loaded with 350 tonnes of fruit and vegetables were also set to leave an Iranian port for Qatar. Dairy products have also been flown in from Turkey and there is a campaign to urge people to use homegrown products. Refa: What size of wire are you using? Breakers are typically sized primarily based on wire size or amperage capacity of the wire in question. You can be producing 36A, if the wire used to carry this amperage is not rated for 36A, you are going to run into issues. On the other hand, if you wire is rated to carry something bigger than 36A; let's say 60A, you need to rate your breaker to protect your charge controller. Two ways to do this; Surge arrester and a breaker. Just my 2 cents 6mm bro |

Dam5reey: My opinion is connect 800w, your controller will take as much power during cloudy time, and during peak periods current limiting function kicks in
From experience... The charge controller only draw what it need to charge your battery from the Panel... Assume battery is almost charge from float to fully charged, it will only draw small power regardless of the Panel watt output...
I have seen 470 Watts panel connected to 10A controller.. everything works fine.. just that battery will charge at close to 10A any time of the day from 9am till 4 pm...... during peak periods the remaining 220 watts is lost.. but will compensate during cloud.. ok thanks . But see my response above, do i still need to buy 4 panels? or just stick with my 3 jeje |

earthrealm: ok ur panels are 200w, not 250w..perfect then 200w x 3 in series shud be fine. ur 600w 12v setup has the capabilty of bring 40/45amps...thus in real life factoring in losses from cabling, inclination and scc efficiency..you would be getting btw abt 35amps- 38amps max. for ease of calculation lets assume 30amps, the norm is to take 5hrs of sunlight daily, thus 5hrs x 30amps = 150amps, ur bank is 400ah, wch you can theoritically drain/recharge to 300ah, so you can see that ur setup can only supply 50% of your bank capACITY - THIS IS NOT IDEAL LONGTERM, unless your loads are light n u dont drain ur bank heavily. A 24V 200AH SETUP IS A BETTER DESIGN from all angles panels utilization/harvest/batt charging/C/10 etc......
hope you are aware of the term sulphation and C/10? UR BATT BANK NEEDS 10% CHARGING CURRENT TO REDUCE THE EFFECT OF SULPHATION, THUS a 12v 400ah bank needs minimum of 40amps, SOME OTHER BATT TYPES ARE C/8 Thanks. Before the end of the year, I will upgrade to 24v inverter. Also, i am very very conservative and my wife laughs at me. even at full charge now on Power company or Generator, we hardly use up to 100amps per day. I mean when batteries are fully charged cos i just acquired the two batteries in April, 2017 we only switch on TV, decoder and fan for about 3 hours and go to bed. By the time we wake up and there's electricity, batteries are full again. so daily usage averages 250 watts load for about 5 hours or say out of 400 amps full charge, i use only 100amps and 300amps gets wasted or so. I just want to go solar so i can explore more out of the 400amps available. I am presently under using the system and electricity at my present place is 18hours out of 24 hours per day. |

earthrealm: that ur breaker looks like an ac breaker, if yes...using ac breaker in dc enviroments is not safe/good.
what his engineer meant by limiting current by circuit breaker is that, if the juice coming from his panels is over 32amps[max of his scc], then it will trip preventing damage to his scc.
am not in surpport of such a setup, cos if ur panels are sized properly, the issue of over current will not arise...n from the 250w x4 panels u have...case of excess current will not arise for a 24v system, but will arise for a 12v system...600w is max recommended for 12v system, thus you may wish to install only 2 panels if you still insist on 12v setup Ok thanks. We can do 200watts X3 then to make 600watts rather than 800 watts( 4 X 200watts panels) But I want to ask this question. Presently, my 1000 watts inverter send 10 amps to each of my 200amps batteries after every one hour charge. Let's assume that the sun shines properly from 10:00am to 3:00pm, that is 5 hours sunshine, How many amps would be sent per hour to the batteries to charge them? cc GeorgeD1 efuro zeestone99 Dam5reey kiekie1 chris81964 |
Car Talk › Re: 5 Things Car Dealers In Nigeria Don't Want Car Buyers To Know by davodyguy: 7:37am On Jun 13, 2017 |
AutoJoshNG: One of the greatest exploiters we have in Nigeria are the car dealers. They can actually make a scrap car look brand new again.. The cars at their showrooms look perfect to the average eyes.. However, a trip behind the scene could leave you dumbfounded.
My simple advise to all prospective car buyer is, never rely on the information given to you by the car seller.. They may just give you a Tokunbo car as brand new or a Nigerian used as Tokunbo.
These are 5 things Nigerian car dealers don't want car buyers to know
1) Accidented cars:
Car dealers would always tell you their cars are clean without a scratch or blemish. But when you prove to them the car has been resprayed, they will now change their tone and say they only sprayed the bumpers due to a scratch at Lagos port. Note: This is usually a big fat lie. That car is most likely accidented. It is not news that most cars which are imported into Nigeria are bought from auctions that sell a large number of damaged vehicles. This may not be a problem as some damage are minor and inconsequential.. However, some dealers prefer to buy the badly damage cars which would be sold very cheaply as scrap.. and such vehicles would be repaired and sold to unsuspecting Nigerians. I once asked a car dealer in Lagos to show me the pictures of the accident the car I was inspecting had. What I requested was the original pictures from the auction yard before any repair was done.. but he went ahead to show pictures he took after he had done some repairs. I almost fell for it but quickly realized they had done some repairs and even put in new radiator and condenser. These guys could be desperate to any extent.. so you have to be careful in order not to buy a car that the airbags have been removed due to accident or a car that the suspensions have been patched up to only take you out of their sales lot.
2) Rolled back mileage:
Just a week ago, I did a vehicle history check for someone, the vehicle history report showed the car had trekked 403,000 kilometres before it left Canada last year.. but the dashboard odometre in Lagos a week ago was showing 80,000 kilometres. What happened? They had rolled back the mileage. Come to think of it, imagine rolling your age back to 15 after clocking 80 years old.. That would be splendid.
Another guy kept complaining his car had multiple issues.. we later realised the actual mileage on the car was about 500,000 kilometres.
3) Flooded cars:
Did you just buy a car that has a mind of its own? You try to reduce the volume of the radio but the sound goes up instead.. You try to turn off the radio but the AC goes off instead.. The reverse camera comes up anytime you put the car in drive.. and your car continues to play many annoying pranks with you. The car is probably a flooded car. These cars are cheap at the auction so the ridiculous prices attracts dealers who want to maximize their profit. Dealers don't want you to ever know they are selling a flooded car to you and you probably can't tell with your bare eyes. The simplest way to know is by doing a VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) check especially Carfax VIN check.
Some people buy cars and they spend money fixing it for more than a year without being able to drive it.
4) Unpaid import duty:
The excessive import duty in Nigeria, our porous land borders as well as high level of corruption has led to several cars being smuggled into the country. The sad news is, these cars are not seized from the dealers.. but they are seized from the final buyers who are not aware the vehicles were smuggled.
The good news is Nigeria Custom recently launched a custom paper verification process that allows you to confirm if duty was paid on a particular vehicle. See how to verify your custom paper HERE.. https://autojosh.com/custom-paper-verification/
5) How much they make on each car:
It is true some cars are sold at a loss especially when they have been on ground for too long. It is also true that car dealers can make between ₦200,000 to ₦700,000 on a 2006 model Toyota car. The better they are able to execute the 4 points I listed above, the higher the profit they make.. but I have observed that no matter the amount car dealers make, they will always tell buyers that they are only making ₦50,000 on the car sale. If you fall for their appeal to pity, you will end up paying more for nothing.
Tell us what you noticed car dealers in Nigeria did not want you to know and stay tuned to AutoJosh for more on cars.
Don't forget to like, rate and share.

Dam5reey: Yeah.. a screenshot of your Panel specifications will help too..
I will make an assumption, say you have 30Vmp and Imp 6.7A
You connection will be string 1 two panels in series(60 Vmp, Imp 6.7A) string 2 two panels in series (60 Vmp, Imp 6.7A)
Connecting string 1 & 2 in parallel, will be ( 60Vmp Imp 13.4A) I'll post images tomorrow As I said, I want to be guided, that's wh I am here The already set up at home now Is 1000watts inverter 2 nos of 200amps batteries of 12v each that I connected myself in parallel, to avoid over voltage to the inverter. The solar system purchased now are as follow 4 nos Panels of 24v 200 watts each. Solar panels are made by Frames We also acquired 40A MPPT charge controller, and was advised to get a 32A breaker. What have we done wrong? And what can be done to remedy the situation? Note, I'm very unwilling to get a 24v inverter for now, until I'm ready for a massive upgrade of say 4 to 4 200amps batteries and sinewave inverter |
