Embassies put the caveat do not pay for flight ticket until you're sure the visa would be granted.

All they want to see is that there's a booking, not that you must pay

Yes, I understand. They didn't even ask me to confirm it, they just totally cancelled it and when I sent an email, they apologised that it's a system error.

But I'm just concerned that there'll be no valid accommodation booking for the application.

Even if I do another one, I wonder how I can communicate the new details.

Reservation is what you're to do, not confirmed booking.

Hence, they're not going to mail the hotel

Except for other things, you're not going to get refusal based on this booking

You can apply for a B-1/B-2 visitor visa from within almost any country you have entered legally, but it’s very difficult to get than when you apply from your home country.

Because the interviewing officer may not be familiar with your home nation, it is more difficult for them to evaluate you and your visa application favorably when you apply for a US visa in a third country than when you apply in your home country.

In your case, your husband is sponsoring. What is the total cost? Does he have enough funds to sponsor? If the answer is yes, just include your personal statement.

It is UK that would be scrutinizing your inflow and outflows. Schengen will focus more on balances and ability to fund the trip

Lol. I have plenty friends who have applied in different countries as visitors and gotten it. I have also emailed the US embassy in at least 10 countries, including Europe, only Rwanda and Cameroon told me they had limited workforce and was dedicating their energy on Citizens and residents.

Wauu, this is a major development.
So the UK and French embassies have both switched intermediaries.
It used to be VFS for France and TLS for UK but with this development, VFS will now oversee UK visa applications while TLS took over from TLS handling french visa applications for some months now.

No please. France processes her visa application for only 15 working days excluded of weekends( Saturday and Sunday). In most situations, it takes maximum of 20 working days to get it processed.

You probably didn't understand the post before quoting it

Days of the week (7days with weekend)
Working days of the week (5 days excluding weekend)

By saying

France about 15 to 20 days (including weekends) in my post, it means:

15 days including weekend = 10 working days
20 days including weekend = 15 working days

Hoping that France will once again prove themselves for speedy processing than the Italians.

Italy takes about 30 days (including weekends)
