Despite all the comments of those who have indicated interest since last year, you never seen anyone to invest with, you now need to leave agriculture section and run to family section to post this same your God forsaken investment with another moniker.
You looked like a scammer.

Hello!

Thank you for drawing my attention to that. I am not in anyway affiliated to the other poster that plagiarized my content. I was looking to fund passionate young farmers, but most of the people that commented were either not serious about farming, or were not doing the type of agriculture I was interested in funding.

I did not ask anyone to share their business ideas with me (as the commenter below you is claiming) as I am not interested in any business idea other than conventional farming (plant-harvest-sell), neither did I ask anyone to send me any money, nor to contact me privately. All I asked was they should say (right here on this thread) what they are currently doing, provide pictures of their farm if possible, and say why they need investment in their business. I categorically said everything should be done publicly here on this thread.

Someone asked for my email so they can send their farm pictures (or whatever) to me. I provided it, but I later deleted it, as I could not verify if the pictures they sent to me were genuinely theirs or not.

Anyways, I am no longer interested in funding anyone I do not "personally" know.

Thank you for drawing my attention to the plagiarized content once again. It was not from me.

Hard copies.

Okay. I am not sure where you can get hard copies. If you stay in Lagos, you could check bookshops around Marina/CMS.

All volumes of Diary of a Wimpy Kid are great. Those were my favourite books growing up. It feels good to meet someone who likes them too.

I have been wanting to order some books online, especially the ones by foreign authors and some graphic novels like (diary of a wimpy kid ).
So I would like to know if anyone has done that and what app did you use ?

You read Diary of a Wimpy Kid? How do you see it?

And talking about ordering books, do you mean soft copies or hard copies?

Sigh.
Two days ago, I used the remaining 600 naira in my hand to make a concoction okro soup that me and my babies ate... When hubby came back, he was so hungry and told me to bring the soup like that, without meat or fish, even pomo nothing inside, let him just eat, that no customer all day...
This is a man that will never eat anyhow food especially if its not garnished with all possible eatables.
I was so pained watching what this economy has reduced us to.. My business has been on standstill since July following high cost of dollar and waybill prices... No be who don chop belle full go talk of buying toy for children?

Today, as I type this, my babies have eaten only once, me I just soaked gari and drank because I don't have anyone to turn to... Everyone is complaining.

I'm just tired and unhappy.. God please help us... If anyone has foodstuffs they can share, please help us.

If you are me, and you want to do a giveaway to "you", how much will you genuinely give "yourself" based on your need?

And I see you said your business is at a standstill, do you have any idea of any "sustainable" business that you can do?

No picture of any farm yet. No one giving any "detailed analysis" on what they need money for. No one is talking about the exact things they want to spend the money on, and the exact cost of the purchases they intend to make. Evereyone just needs money without having any "clear-cut" goal or plan for the money.

I will monitor the thread for a few more days, if nothing serious from anyone, I'd sadly have to close the thread.

Looking at the comments, I am not sure people are taking the time to read my original message.

Comments such as "I am a farmer, I need the investment" does not justify why you need to be invested in.

The thing is, if you need someone to invest in your business, you have to put in some effort to show why your business deserves to be invested in. Simply put, you have to stand out.

Good day sir, I'm Open to your opportunities, I studied Animal production technology, and I have experience in vegetables too. Funding has been a delay in my growth, however, I want to start vegetable farming for the rest of the year to survive and provide for my family and go to full farming in next year farming season. I have access to lands and I presently have a nursery pepper plants ready to transplant.

I'm Open to sponsorship to make me self employed and self sufficient.

Thanks for the opportunity sir

Hello! Could you say more about what you do, how much you need, and what you need money for?
Pictures of your farm will be great!

Also, I have modified my original post. Kindly check and see that meet the requirements.

What is your planned level of investment. I know of an trained expert in Sawah Eco technology in rice farming both in Japan and Thailand with over 15 years expecting, he works with NCAM and has a rice plantation project. If you are interested state the amount you are looking at. You can drop your email or reach out to me on 08184397113 for further discussion

Not sure I am interested in this person as the person seems established already. I want to fund young/budding farmers who are relatively new to farming or old farmers who have been into small scale farming but want to scale up.
Romance / Re: Why Do Most Men Avoid Marrying Ladies Above 35 by DawsonCole: 4:59am On Oct 24, 2023
I think many people attach so much importance to themselves. Life is fickle. We are here today, and would be gone tomorrow. In 50 years time, many of us would be long gone, and all of these things will be meaningless. Whether you settle with a lady at 25 or 35 year old lady, everything will be meaningless in only a few years from now.

Career / Re: I Will Be Having My First Interview Next Month!! I Need Help by DawsonCole: 4:46am On Oct 24, 2023
A friend of mine will always say, "Are you scared of presenting? Then do it scared!" Whatever you are scared of, do it scared!

I have come to realize that in interviews, the interviwers are not really there to judge you, but are rather there to learn from you. So, even if your heart is beating fast, or if your voice becomes strained, the interviewers do not really care about that. They rather care about the message that you are passing accross. People care about results, not presentation skills (except you are interviewing for the role of a public speaker).

Also, you are human, and at times, a little nervousness and vulnerability shows that you are indeed human and not a robot, and it also signifies that you are involved and interested in what is going on.

Before you start your presentation, tell the interviewers - as a form of introductory joke - that you feel very nervous about the interview, and that is because this is a very serious and important event for you, and your heart is fully into it that you can barely take your mind off it.

They will laugh and not judge you all through the interview.

Good luck!

Agriculture / I Want To Invest In Your Agricultural Business by DawsonCole: 4:08am On Oct 24, 2023
Hello!

I am a Nigerian, passionate about Nigeria and the growth of Nigeria. I am very well aware that agriculture is an integral sector for the sustainable growth and development of any society. I have come to realise that many Nigerians do not like farming, do not like to produce, but rather want to consume. Sadly, we cannot grow this way as a country, and even more sadly, unemployed and underemployed Nigerians still do not see agriculture as an option. How bad if you ask me.

Growing up as a kid, farming was something I really enjoyed doing. I was actively involved in the cultivation of beans, corn, groundnut and potatoes. Several times, produce from the small farm in my family compound saved us from hunger. In the mornings, I will stroll to the farm at the back of the house, harvest some potatoes, go to the kitchen, wash the potatoes, peel off the back, wash it, fry it, and breakfast is served!

Right now, due to the nature of my work, I cannot directly be involved in farming, no matter how hard I try. As a result, I have thought to support (by investment) local farmers who are highly passionate about agriculture (prefereably someone with a degree in the Agricultural sciences or related field) and has some experience in agriculture. A degree in agriculture may not be needed if the person can prove that they have at least 3 years of continuous experience in agriculture.

If you are (or if you know anyone who is) highly interested in agriculture (whatever type - but prefarably cocoa, rubber, palm oil, diary, or similar high value agro products), kindly invite them to this thread. They should say what they are currently doing, provide pictures of their farm if possible, and say why they need investment in their business.

Modified:
1) I am interested in funding a young person interested in agriculture.
2) I am not interested in funding an already established company or corporation.
3) My target is young entrepreneurial Nigerians with interest in agriculture.
4) I am not interested in someone who is actively seeking some other form of employment - who will abandon the farm when they get a job somewhere.
5) I am not interested in funding someone who is actively making plans to migrate from Nigeria and abandon their farm.
6) Previous nairaland posts showing interest in agriculture will be an added advantage.
7) Women are encouraged.

Extra:
If interested, kindly share your profile, and pictures of your farm (if you have).

Towards the end of 2021, I took the decision to go into farming and to farm coconut partly to it's free maintenance while growing and the opportunities in coconut trade in Nigeria. Honestly, it has not been easy, but it has been fun with a lot of experience. Please share your thoughts and experience if you are into coconut farming too.

What's your target market?
Romance / Re: 12 Things To Know To Survive In Cross River State. by DawsonCole: 4:45am On Oct 07, 2023
Very lovely State.

As one who loves travelling, I've been to the east, west, north and south of Nigeria. So far, Calabar remains the best place I've been to. Calm and serene. The bus drivers are nice and friendly.

Great place for a getaway!

I'd plan a solo trip there sometime.
