Those of you that secured job immediately after service, I presume that you guys started applying for jobs before end of service year. How were you able to tackle Nysc certificate issue that most companies demand??

Dear nairalanders, plz i need advice from experienced minds. I am 28 years old and have been workin in a Bank for three years ( i am fairly confortable ). But i have been under pressure by my dad to advance my studies abroad.

The issue here is that it feels i will be starting life all over again, after the MSC then what ? Come back ? Job search again?? I also have a girl friend i have been committed to and we both have been planning to settle down next yr.

I am so confused and i cant plan my future any longer. Some people have adviced that living abroad is always better than nigeria while others have said , if you are ok here why move.

Plz career experts and experinced ones should plz advice me putting into consideration my relationship commitments too.

Just try to pay in time because assignments and tests are recorded in Matric Numbers.

1)The fees differ based on the 'Nigerian factor'.
Last year,fee was 112550,This year is about 140,000+.
This is an average because school fees is department-dependent.
Though could just be 2 or 3k more or less.
It is most likely to remain this way next year.

Note:You are 2 spend 3 semesters for those applying for MSc/MA,this school fees only covers for the first 2 semesters,you are expected to pay for the 3rd semester too,(which is half of what you paid on the initial 1st year).


2)The EPT is due September as always,hence names will start rolling in from November,noteably starting with departments in The Faculty of Agric,Info Science,Education(they have always shown more seriousness),others will follow up early next year.
The programme is expected to officially kick-off sometime in March,2018 baring any eventuality.

3)Deadline given is always about 8weeks,just try to pay before the 1st semester exams so as to have a Matric Number.

4)Yes,you must.(Read through the thread,its been answered before)

Delta is a good place to serve, the camp is at issele-Uku. The soldiers aren't that strict. The camp is old anyway, and water isn't that available, so immediately there is water, it advisable you fetch down. The food, you guys should be ready to eat a lot of garri and banga soup, akamu, and tea and bread. Wish you a good camping experience.
