Whatever happened to that NSX? Saw one in Abuja today in Kubwa but it was right hand drive. Sad. Any more finds? Dami |
Hi Lovely thread. U guys should keep it up. Found a Jaguar xj6 myself and restored it. Looking out for my next project |
Where is the Hilux? U didnt put your contact numbers too |
Does the roof open? |
Hi. I called your number but it wasnt going thru. Do u have parts for Porsche Carrera 997 (2007 Carrera S) I need parts like Slave cylinder and any upgrade parts e.g. lights etc. thanks |
Anybody got an SRT8? I still want more power!!!! |
Quite frankly, if this commission works well, we really dont need EFCC anymore. Somehow I think this is GMBs gameplan. Some people (even in his own camp) will not see this coming! Let us just prosecute based on evidence given by the accused himself. This should be more effective than prosecuting cases based on suspicion and (purposely mishandled) investigations. In the case of Saraki, I think he should stand and face the trial squarely. If he wins, we will respect him and he will go on to create the greatest power block other than the president. If he loses, well.... Then he was just another politician with guts. We have gone so far down this road of corruption in Nigeria that the guilty even feel justified by the METHOD used in accusing them and not the substance of the accusation. It is well.. |
@originalsly: There is a upgrade package that removes all the limiters! But then I am not really encouraged to do it since there is just no where to unleash a 5.7L in this Lagos unless you have had a little to drink and an idiot with an M series or AMG taunts you on the road! ![]() |
@samally: Are you bringing the car to Lagos? |
Some before pictures! When I got it, it didn't even have a step-board on the side!
|
Its actually not a Bentley Badge. Its called a B grill. Its a world wide phenomenon amongst Chrysler owners! |
Wow! Nice engine but..... Not sure of the capabilities of mechanics in terms of experience but the rules remain the same. For most cars, diagnostics will tell u what is wrong. Simply replace and don't try to manage or fix! Chrysler has an impressive onboard diagnostic system that can detect a high number of errors and give u the codes right on the instrument cluster! |
More interior pics!
|
Planning on installing the Chrysler Illuminated Rear Badge. Before It arrives, I will just leave it like this for now. I like the way people get confused when they see the car. Some just cant tell what model it is!! ![]() |
Rear and Interior Has Rear DVD Entertainment I also put in the Head Up Display. Notice the 0 km/h on the screen!! Quite nice at night!
|
Yeah FC. |
I changed the MAP Sensor. Arguably the most important sensor to me in that engine. I got the one from XA and not the normal Wells version. Made a lot of difference! |
If anyone has a naughty error message that wont go. Let me know |
I am confident the HEMI will blast off before the E55 and the M5. But something tells me I will not be smiling when I reach 140Km/h and I am looking around for these 2 monsters you have mentioned! |
I have a 300C 5.7L V8. Still dreaming of the SRT8 though!!! When I got mine, all sorts of error messages on the dash! And also the dreaded Thunderbolt error! Unknown to the old owner, this limited the car to only 4 cylinders which gave him the impression the car was not fast at all!!! Costed me only $50 to get the replacement part and unleash the whole engine!!! |
I am not disregarding the owners of 300s! But the difference is just a lot and I would like to hear views on Maintenance, experiences and Speed achievements! I noticed too that a lot of people dont know the real functions of the HEMI engine and a lot have their cars only running on 4 cylinders and not 8! Lets hear your thrills, views and maintenance issues! |
Yes I did!! I will actually upload the "before" picture so that u appreciate what was done. Dont know why people have been scared of the car! Its what I call Cheap and Cheerful power!! Thoroughly embarrassed a guy with a 2012 BMW 535i and an E550! |
Decided to get a normal Chrysler and really upgrade it with a friend! This is what I ended up with. I am really impressed with the extra speed and performance of this car now. I couldnt even do 140km/h in a burst on Lekki Express. Now, it bursts to 180Km/h easily now! The car is now craaaazzzzyyyy!!!! The Audio too is wonderful! I gave it the Halo lights and the Bentley B Grill trimmings!!! I really enjoyed this project!! Imported everything from the US and did a lot of the upgrades myself with a small time mechanic! Features below: Chrysler 300C Hemi V8 34k Miles 2006 Model 5.7 Litre Hemi V8 Engine (switching nicely!) New upgraded sports Shocks (complete rip out of the old ones and springs!) Head Up display on screen (after market) Rear DVD Player and display (factory stock) Upgraded Spyder Auto smoke Headlights Upgrade Spyder Auto LED Fog Lamps Upgraded Halo ring Head lamp Upgraded Sports Pressure sensor (faster car!) Original Chrysler foot mat 6 CD Changer Navigation Audio Steering controls Upgraded High performance Halogen Bulbs Installed Mobil 1 High performance Oil Filter Sports Air filter Upgraded White Interior LED Bulbs

Better still, let me post it here unless you want to read my other blogs Dont Come home to Nigeria if.... Like I said in my earlier blog: "I have always laughed at foreign companies who come and set up shop in Nigeria and feel they can muscle in somehow just because they have access to money. This has always been similar to the returnees to Nigeria who come with a few thousand dollars and feel they are kings. They ship a long used car or sort of new car with flood insurance and maybe furniture they got very cheap and somehow begin to bother all of us struggling people in Nigeria with questions like "Whats going on in Nigeria?" or "So, guys, I am back! How do we make money in Nigeria?". Sometimes I wonder if they think we have all been sitting around waiting for them to bring the dollars home! Whats pitiful is that, One year down the road, they are completely as normal as we are, still telling stories of where they used to live in New York or wherever. Dont get me wrong, I dont resent them. I just wish they were better prepared to come home!" My 10 point advice is simple and outlined below: a) Dont come home if you have not invested Five trips to and from Nigeria at a minimum. b) Dont come home if you cant be a facilitator of technology transfer. Bring home an idea and make it work in Nigeria before you come! c) Dont come home if you dont have a bank account in Nigeria that is receiving inflow from whatever you are doing in Nigeria d) Dont come home if you are not yet sending whatever it is you plan to sell in Nigeria home and someone is paying the proceeds in your account and you are logging in everyday with your internet banking and checking your deposits! e) Dont come home if you havent signed an offer letter from your intended employers. Sign first, do the first month of work, as for 1 week leave to take care of some personal issues, take the very next available flight, arrive next day, close up shop for 3 days, do a hurried send off party and get the hell out of there! f) Dont come home with promises from Uncles and Aunties who are in positions of power in Nigeria. Its just not bankable! g) Dont come home if you have any lies of a big job you have been doing abroad! Nigerians are now well educated even in international matters! Your knowledge will surely be tested! Dont be discgraced. Too many people have been hired in Nigeria only to be let go 6 months later cos they are not as good as they are on paper! h) Dont come home based on comparison with your mates! You are most likely coming to start at the bottom of the ladder. What did you think your mates were doing suffering all this while in Nigeria? Most of the time, you cannot match up with their spending style, living expenses and assets they have acquired over the same period of time! You are probably paying a mortgage and they are not! i) Dont come home if you have not clearly identified a Plan B, assuming that your Plan A fails! j) Most importantly again, dont come home if you have not invested time and presence in Nigeria over a minimum of 6 months! You must come and go and ensure you know 50% of what you want to come and do in Nigeria! I daresay you can also apply this to a company that wishes to come and do business in Nigeria. I will talk about the laws of Nigeria in a separate post. One key thing that stands out with businesses that have survived in Nigeria - they have demonstrated they understand Nigeria. Like I said before, there are some Nigerians I regard as "visitors in Nigeria with Nigerian passports". What can be worse than that. I will leave this topic to reactions from readers rather than explain each point. |
I wrote this piece a long time ago but I suggest you read it. It just MAY help you. Happy reading http://damistiic..com/2012/05/dont-come-home-to-nigeria-if.html D. |
