TravelRe: Nairobi Photos (kenya): A Beautiful East African City by dblock(m): 7:48am On Jun 22, 2007
VOR:
I have not had the good fortune to visit Nairobi, but my brother has visited twice
and he can attest to the fact that it is a beautiful and civilised city. These pictures
appear to confirm what he has said.

I hope DBLOCK will take note, that a nice city is not about having lovely tall
buildings it is more than that.

Does anyone notice that most of the pictures of Lagos in this section are of buildings,
hardly any pictures of what life is like on the ground for every Lagosian.
For Crying out loud VOR, the thread is titled Lagos Skyline. Start a New thread called Lagos Photos (Nigeria) A bustling West African City) and I'll kindly post the slums you love.

SportsRe: Full Time In Niamey: Niger (1) - Nigeria (3) by dblock(m): 6:41am On Jun 22, 2007
Nigeria was always a strong team, until Vogts came along.

In fact during the World Cup Qualifiers we were quite strong, we lost to Angola, in Abeokuta, but we Won our last two games, as if we were Brazil or Italy.

I'd rather have the old Nigeria Team and not qualify for the world cup, than a Vogts team that does qualify for the world cup.

SportsRe: Full Time In Niamey: Niger (1) - Nigeria (3) by dblock(m): 6:36am On Jun 22, 2007
Yeah, that would be a good move. We would have nothing to lose.
If we won, it would create awareness about the talents of the Home Based Players, if we lost there'd be no pride lost, cos it was our "B" Team. Vogts should do that, and Plus Obagoal needs time to calm down.

Sharrap, I've got no respect for Phonies. One minute you're Ayefele the singer, next you're a guy, then you're a Female, then you live in Atlanta, then you always lived in Naija. Dude you are Ferlie gone wrong.

Your Signature insults me and the 1.2 Billion people that Despise America

Then Perhaps what we need is a Player like "Flavio" of Angola, somebody who is outstanding and can determine the strength of the whole team. Mikel would have been able to do that, but he obviously isn't interested in anything but Money.
Forum GamesRe: Reply Signatures. by dblock(m): 6:23am On Jun 22, 2007
Sharrap dia.
The reason why your thoughts are so infested is probably cos of your "America" It's played a large role in corrupting your Mendula. tongue
SportsRe: Full Time In Niamey: Niger (1) - Nigeria (3) by dblock(m): 6:21am On Jun 22, 2007
But Berti Vogts, must start snooping for new talent, and trying to Gel the team together. It's not a Task, it's a must, or Nigeria will be tagged a Minnow Indefinitely
SportsRe: Full Time In Niamey: Niger (1) - Nigeria (3) by dblock(m): 6:17am On Jun 22, 2007
We could easily beat them 5-0 under Eguavoen.

Under Eguavoen, Nigeria still lost to minnows, but it was due to a lack of discipline not capability. Berti Vogts team is weak and the team needs to start building confidence in time for African Cup of Nations in Ghana. If we continue with Petty wins, we might not even get our Habitual Golden Bronze. grin
SportsRe: Full Time In Niamey: Niger (1) - Nigeria (3) by dblock(m): 6:07am On Jun 22, 2007
NO.

Nigeria has already qualified, we don't need a win, we a need a good win to build confidence for the actual tournament.

1-0 is pathetic.

Ndipe:
And what does Nigeria have to show for, in the midst of such an abundance of these reservoir of wealth? Dilapidated structures in our tertiary education, non payment of salaries to civil servants, high rate of unemployment in the country, astronomical prices of gas, in an oil producing country. Even Kenya, where tourism is the mainstay of their economy has better structures than Nigeria.

My former neighbor, a Kenyan, told me of a relative who relocated to Kenya, before moving to Canada. I could not even contemplate such a move, because of the economic malaise in our country. Is the oil in Nigeria, really a blessing to the citizens?
It's not the end of the road, Naija will make it.

Ono oi ti Pari.
