At least creating a state is Igbos restructuring and Buhari has said his own, now let those shouting restructuring come and explain themselves, I've been dying myself to hear what is behind their restructuring. Some were just saying restructuring because they never thought the north would want to discuss it. To some as we speak, stealing their neighbors land is their own restructuring and others are looking to have the same right as the indigenous community in a foreign land and even lord it over them is their restructuring. I like Buhari for raising this topic, it's now time for people to tell us what they mean by restructuring. Mitsurugi: That Buhari thinks state creation is all there is to restructuring is bad enough. That you, supposedly an educated youth think so too typifies you as a clown. So go ahead Mr. Clown dance to your bubu's beat. Una no go ever get sense for this country. You're a testimony to the rubbish educational sector. |

No, federal govt has no right to tell indigenous people what to do with their land and how to lease it to foreigners. You don't stand against Ruga and then ask for state of residence when it's only one region that all of you want to be in. The only 3 things the federal govt will have power over are 1. Printing Money but every region should have the image of their heroes they can relate with on their money just like in United Kingdom. 2. Military 3. Foreign affairs These are the 3 things the federal govt rule over in the US. Education is handled by the states in the US, same with Yoruba back in the day, reason Awolowo was able to do free education in Yorubaland. Yankee101: True federalism should mean anywhere you live is your state of origin and any land you buy belongs to your family forever as long as you pay the land taxes yearly.
Ojukwu was born in Zungeru, learned ambition as a GOC in Kano and made money from hotels he built in Zaria
That's how nigeria used to be before the civil war. The Hausas (till today) carved out full cities called sabon Gari (new city) for all foreigners to build and own property in perpetuity. |

This is what sets me apart from most people, I have never used the word restructuring because I'm a straight shooter and it has no meaning. What we had before 1966 worked for Yoruba, cocoa house was built by farmers but the region that can't build anything but take from others just had to use coup to suspend the beautiful system we had. People saying restructuring don't know what they want and those who know are scared of their political future. The only solution to Nigeria is to go back to the real constitution of 1963 and return to regional govt. The so called 1999 constitution was written by a military dictator with lawyers at gunpoint. Every region can develop their resources and pay 10% to Abuja to pay for army and foreign affairs. Regional police only, federal police stays in Abuja. Igbos can then make every village a state if they want as long as the money to take care of the new states is not coming from my region and Yoruba can return to the good old days our parents told us. gabicon: I kind of agree on his stance on restructuring, restructuring has been touted as a silver bullet that will solve all our problems, but prior to 1966 coup we had similar problems that we presently face. So how does going back to 1966 solve a problem that predates 1966. If it is true federalism we want let us state it clearly, at least that's what I want, this restructuring nomenclature can be a bit confusing. |

You said in Nigeria but I'm talking about Yorubaland. Nigeria doesn't count because it's a tilted skyscraper with date. It's man made, dubious and going down. Btw, thanks for making it clear that you are not Yoruba by calling our very own foreigners. Our kinfolks are in Benin and Togo. The Igbos or Fulani we share country with are not, so culturally and every which way you look at it, Nigeria is useless to us. jaxxy: A Yoruba in Benin and Togo are definitely foreigners in Nigeria just like Fulani from chad. Anything else is deception. |

You can't be a Yoruba and be a foreigner in Lagos or Osun at the same time. The Yoruba in Benin and Togo for example are not foreigners they are Yoruba, the colonial boundaries are not ours. In other countries we have people mixed with Yoruba. And no you are not following my narrative. jaxxy: I’m only following ur narrative. Yoruba don’t need to call themselves Lagosians. And I’m saying do u know there are Yorubas who are foreigners? |

I see you trying to change the track of this topic and I see where you are going with it. Since you just want to lie, go right ahead, I stand with my first comment. The chances of you Igbos living anywhere other than Yorubaland is zero, you are that obsessed with us. Even when you leave abroad and say you are you going home, you can't go home but you still go to Yorubaland. In a sane world Igbos should worship Yoruba but what we have is a beggar attacking his benefactor. As testified by colonialists Lagos was the richest by far and has been the region that is taking care of Nigeria and you can see that till today. Igbos didn't contribute anything to Lagos, my region was built and made, that's why you came. You can't build anything for yourself, you are a bunch of parasitic leeches. Tinubu remade Lagos with no single kobo from federal allocations. Finally, you ingrates shouldn't be dying on another man's land if you have any dignity left in you. Well your people are not exactly known for dignity, you are sorry azz refugees all over Nigeria. shadeze: Firstly, you are should stop assuming things you don't know, I don't live in Lagos and never intend to live there. My line of work means I travel around the country a lot so there's hardly any part of this country that I don't know what's happening there. Secondly, the truth doesn't give a damn about your feelings and the truth is that lagos was a glorified slum during Tinubu's time. I remember a place called Oshodi, during Tinubu's time, it was hell for anyone trying to pass through there with ugly touts everywhere making life miserable for people but Fashola and Ambode turned that place into a wonderful place. Same thing happened all over lagos even in Ikeja that is the seat of government, I remember how messed up it was under Tinubu. You guys don't like telling yourself the truth and quickly resort to insults instead of facing facts. Thirdly, this Lagos you claim belongs to Yoruba became a big city because it was made the capital of nigeria and was developed with resources from all parts of Nigeria, today you Yoruba loudmouths are making noise that it belongs to you. Even a Yoruba person that was born in odogbolu that has never seen lagos before will be shouting lagos, lagos, lagos as if he has ever contributed one kobo to the development of Lagos. Lagos belongs to Nigeria and every Nigerian is free to go and "Live and die there" if he wants. |

You need to learn to tell the truth first. Where did Tinubu agree to zoning in the south and why did the zoning agreement not cover all regions but just north and south when there are 6 geopols in Nigeria? Finally, how is it the turn of the southeast? It's Yoruba's turn to produce the president. Amah70: If you see some fellow southerners sweating over the mention of Tinubu, that means there is something wrong with what the man is doing. And it's a ticket to his failure on the path of his wrongdoing. Only a clown would seek for zoning of the presidency between the north and the south to enable the south to produce a successor to President Buhari, but ignores zoning among the regions of the south, because it is the turn of the Igbo in the SE to utilise zoning to produce successor to PMB. |

It's like in the UK where only foreigners call themselves British while the indigenous people call themselves English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish. In Yorubaland we are simply Yoruba, let squatters call themselves whatever. jaxxy: And how do u know I’m not Yoruba? |

Just for your short memory. Tinubu asked Yoruba and we voted for Gej but not only were Yoruba marginalized, Tinubu was charged on some fake charges to thank him. So we should vote for him again? Even you don't think Yoruba are that stupid. Amah70: Tinubu declaring to consign presidency to the north.
Tinubu with SW APC ask north to consider zoning so that the south shall produce a successor to President Buhari. But Tinubu and SW APC refuse zoning in the southern regions to make Igbo to produce successor to President Buhari.
North shall therefore discount zoning, support a northern presidential candidate massively and win.
The SS can't forget what Tinubu SW APC did to bring down then president GEJ.
The SE can't forget how Tinubu SW APC refused zoning in the south because it's turn of the Igbo to present a successor to President Buhari. |

The problem is Igbos can't leave Nigeria. You had the opportunity to get some form of autonomy that can push you to a full country in 2021 but didn't grab it. Everyone knows that Igbos can't, won't and don't want to leave Nigeria except something happens and they have no other option. DMerciful: Because over 50% of the Yorubas are Muslim and the North tends to vote along religious lines(north is against northern Christian being president), they'd support Yorubas. But again, the North knows that if Igbos leave, there's no Nigeria so they're threading carefully.
The North are afraid of the Igbos than any other nationality and rightfully so. The North has got it coming! |
