Manchester United Player Earnings After 25 Percent Wage Cut Due To Failure To Make Champions League Football

Manchester United players would have their wages cut by 25% having failed to secure a place in next season’s Champions League competition.

Missing out on the Champions League could prove to be costly in terms of revenue for a club of Manchester United’s stature.

Arsenal’s operating profits fell by a gargantuan 60% when they failed to qualify for Europe’s most elite competition.

The Gunners played in the Europa league where the broadcasting and commercial revenues are only a fraction of what obtains in the Champions League leading to that considerable drop in their profits and overall revenue.

United might now suffer the same fate and have now taken a drastic measure to avoid such drop in revenues.

According to a report by DailyMail in April, all new contracts signed in Old Trafford had a clause in them that showed that players would lose 25% of their wages if the team failed to make Champions league qualification.

No fewer than five Nigerian soldiers have been confirmed to have died and also many others declared missing after members of the deadly terrorist group, Boko Haram, overran a military base watched by operatives of the Nigerian Army 254 Task Force Battalion under the 25 Task Force Brigade in Borno State

A mobile court located in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, was convicted and sentenced 27 women to one month in prison for the offence of prostitution.

The convicts, who were nabbed last week Wednesday and Thursday, were, however, given an option of N3,000 fine each in order to bail themselves out of this trouble.

Their lawyer identified as Jennifer Ogbogu, made it clear that the prostitutes pleaded guilty to the charges against them and were summarily convicted and sentenced.

Gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi has rolled out reasons why men find it difficult to accept and sustain gay relationships.

“Aside from fear, male homophobia is principally driven by fragile toxic masculinity. The way homophobic men see gay relationships, say a lot about how they perceive women and what kind of respect they have for women. This might sound simple, but it is profound.

Homophobic men see gay relationships as sexual, this is not just some simple thing. Most men don’t see women as a being, they mostly relate to women as an object to be conquered, so when it comes to gay relationships, they can’t understand it cos it defiles the act of conquering

It is this sense of hyper sexualisation of women by homophobic men that challenged their perception of gay relationships; who does what to who and who is to be subdued vs respected? Hence the stupid question: who is the man and who is the woman?

Brazilian Police officers have arrested a parrot that notified alleged drug traffickers of police presence in Vila Irma Dulce in the state of Piauí.

According to reports, the parrot almost foiled the raid of the police in drug dealers apartment in Brazil. It was also reported that the bird was trained for the purpose.

According to reports, upon the parrot sighting the police officers from its cage last Tuesday, immediately alerted it’s owners squawking “Mama, Police!” in Portuguese.
The Police department have also revealed that the bird has remained loyal to the owners, and it refused to answer questions when it was being investigated. The bird has now been kept at a zoo in Teresina, a city in Brazil.
