obidevine: This is a common toyota issue with automatic compressor so either you change the compressor to manual or buy a new automatic compressor |

obidevine: Most times you did a job on the engine which resulted in removing your coolant and filling the cooling system again can cause this. especially for V6 engines if the cooling system has air traps in the block this can happen so please first open the radiator and leave the car on for some minutes, fill the radiator, when the thermostat opens the level of the radiator will drop chase it with water and keep revving the car to about 2rpm. until you see no bubbles from the radiator. then try to drive and repeat it till the block is full this should solve the issue. if not then according to GAZZUZZ radiator is restricted 1 Like |

Dez10: P0420 is catalyst inefficient. means due to the age of your car or if it as removed before it was bought, your car has no catalyst which is directly proportional to excessive fuel consumption. Also you have some vacuum leaks somewhere in your engine which may cause lag but before changing focusing on the catalyst please just check for leaks, air leaks from the engine bay. this can result in catalyst codes also. |

GAZZUZZ: Your car is 2GR engine despite the size of the jeep. Try this battery code 80D26L, hitachi, 12V 70ah. by company recommendation. You will be amazed |

Numberz: What i suspect is you recently changed one of your front shafts or CV joint and since the ABS light is erratic then it means the gear teeth where the sensor reads the signal is either not of the same size as others or defective or dirty with grease or so. Please try to remember if you changed the shaft and follow that line. This is only if this happens on motion but if it happens stationary then the ANS module has been affected and needs to be changed |

Zane2point4: Engine known for high burn out should advisably be scraped. There was a service bulletin by toyota to recall the old 2AZengines that consumed fuel if your camry was already shipped out of the US at that time then you suffer the oil burn but i see ur concern. |
Please i take God beg you, stop commenting on this thread, open a thread and do your free consultation there. First of all the crank sensor is no where close to the CV axle and even if it was hammered, it will not throw a correlation code. Also the exhaust side of a 2az engine is not at the back but in front . Finally No 2az owner in Nigeria has any reason to pour 5w20 engine oil into his vehicle . (Massive Oil burn) Sorry sir please can explain to me why you say Using 5w-20 on a 2AZ engine leads to massive burn out? |

(Massive Oil burn) Thank you for your comment, correction and advise. I will heed to your advise. I did not mention hammered sir for the shaft i only said if it is on the passengers side then he should just go under to check if it had disintegrated just to be sure. I neither did not say the Crankshaft sensor was close to the CV axle. CV axle sir is not shaft, the guy said shaft means he pulled the entire shaft from the gearbox not only the CV axle so we need to be clear.. I made a mistake on the exhaust side of the 2AZ being behind so i stand corrected bit i still stand my advse to check the OCV behind the engine which is the intake side. And for the ceramic brake pads atleast you agree they exist that is why pple only but the pads. I appreciate your time. have a nice day |

I iamezekwesiri:If the code came up jist after you changed the shaft my next question is what side of the shaft ? If it is the passengers side the mechanics must have hit the crankshaft sensor while fixing it please go under the car on thay side and check on the crankshaft sensor. Another common cause is a bad OCV 0016 should be on the exhaust side which is back of the engine please remove ans test with a battery if it is working then it means your engine oil is too heavy for the car change it to a synthetic 5W-20 oil.tnks 1 Like |

Please make your research and give us feedback ducraft produces brake disc but oga you will pay with your nose that is why they first sell it as a package to you and if you insist on pads only they warn you. Please when ever you go to the us visit their shop and see for your self. They give you a complete package of disc and pads |

Codedboy95: Answer 1: there are 2 running bars below all toyota and lexus nothing actually touches the floor except it is hilly Answer 2: fake or bad brake pads, nothing more Answer 3: open yoir engine, check the engine oil cover the oil type to use is written there. The oil to be used does not depend on the previous owner he might just be a slowpoke to use a cheap oil killing the engine Answer 4: pit on your car press and hold the AFS off light for 3-5 seconds it should adjust itself and go off if not please give me a feedback |

Okoyedavid3: The catalyst on the bank 1 is eaten oit because it is behind the engine and is always heayed up so the oxygen sensor is readig eratically caisijg misfires. Your problem is your catalysts majorly the bank 1 1 Like |

henryutd: It is called gear slippage. Either the gearbox oil is a wrong texture that can onlu carry load on lower gears and slips on higher gears or your gearbox fibres are burnt. Take a look under ur car, do you see gesr box oil leaks then you might have been running on lownoil which must have killed the gearbox |

obidevine:If you want to use ducraft brakes make sure you buy ducraft discs also both are compactible if you buy only the pads it will damage any other disc you are using even if it is a new disc because ducraft is pure ceramic cannot go on steel discs |

vincentjk:Because of their very high importance they are important and most of us like tonlisten to mechanics who never went to school than the books. Yes catalytic converters are called catalysts they react with knock gases from engine to emit CO if oxygen is detected by the oxygen sensors it tells the ECU to add more fuel to burn the proportion of oxygen detected so they are very important 1 Like |

rationalmind:The mistake we make is we feel the mpg youbsee on your dash is the fuel.consumption but youre wrong thst number is a calculated cumulative thats why when you fill your tank it resets. Sir the onlybreason why youbsaw on improved 1mpg is because u passed through less traffik rather than more traffik. As it states mpg amount moved per amount of fuel burnt means if ure in traffik that number reduces to 0 and increases on highway so lets be onpoint. Its also your choice if you decide to adhere its your car so good luck 1 Like 1 Share |

rationalmind:Removing the catalyst from your car and putting spacers is a very wrong move. Firstly when you mean spacers do you mean spacers for the oxygen sensors of just a spacer pipe to replace the catalyst. Removing the catalyst is directly related to excessive fuel.consuption, engine noise, loss of power, engine overheating amongst others. Remember car manufacturers are not stupid to include them in cars so my brother why remove them. If you need a better explanation about why you must ise catalysts please ask me for explanation 3 Likes |

falansa:Both catalyst in good conditions are about 190-200k.butt note whwn you install you need to dribe the car for.about 2 days before the codes will come back so.do not pay the balance until a week after if the codes do not.come oit. Most catalust are burnt out. I have new ones OEM they are 700k 1 Like |
