akpumping7720: You are trusting Atiku to hand over power to Obi in 2031? I think we need age verification before accessing nairaland If you could only read and assimilate, you would understand that my post actually suggests that I don't trust Atiku. That's why I said "take his chances" So let me repeat perhaps you would read a little slower and understand a bit better;; Obi has only two options;; 1. Contest for President with Tinubu and Atiku, thereby giving Tinubu a very easy ride and then wait till 2039 to have a chance again. (12 years from 2027). 2. Contest as Atiku's running mate with an agreement that he will be supported to run for President in 2031. These are basically the two options he has; If you were Obi, which would you take? Answer and stop doing cho cho cho. |

Lithiumite: Your analysis is very funny and lame at best.....you refuse to take cognisance of the ever changing dynamics in politics.....obi leaving the LP has lost him about a 1/4 of his votes and support base, you saw it in edo and first hand in ANAMBRA,obi couldn't even muster any votes for the party...... Obi not being the flag bearer in 27 has lost him about half his votes in 23,then he teaming with atiku the perennial runner and most corruption labeled presidential candidate in the history of Nigeria, coupled with his hausa Fulani heritage, this alone would loose obi substantial support especially in the south and middle belt.
Apc on the other hand is growing ever stronger by the day Similar to pdp in 03 and 07......tinubu won that election with substantial votes from Lagos and Kano despite coming second he also won rivers, right now rivers and Kano are already aligning with him with votes and huge financial resources.....the opposition doesn't come anywhere close in terms of finance and structure and everything happening to them is a well calculated strategy by tinubu himself and need I remind you, naija politics is highly transactional and there is nothing atiku and obi combined can offer anyone that tinubu can't double. Keep deluding yourself.. Does Obedient movement care about Edo or Anambra? Obedient movement only knows Peter Obi. I know you're scared.. Atiku/Obi would trounce Tinubu before 12 Noon. |

Intrepid01: Lol, he’s not intelligent at all. Himself and his advisers will regret it. Even if he joins Atiku and they defeat Tinubu, Atiku and his boys will sideline him in the government, that’s how Northerners do. He will be made useless in the government but will be blamed for the failure of the government. His presence in a potential Atiku government will destroy his possible presidential ambition. If anyone tells him he’ll be President after being a VP then they are all delusional. So tell me... What do you expect him to do? If you were Obi what would you do? Do "I no gree, I no gree" and contest.. Then split votes again with Atiku and let Tinubu have an easy run? Then power returns to North in 2031? Or take your chances with Atiku and get his support in return by 2031? Remember I said "take your chances" If you were Obi what would you do? Answer this question let me know your IQ. |

Atiku is also going with Amaechi anyway. If you were Atiku, would you go with Amaechi or Obi. Answer this question let me estimate your IQ. |

In its entire history, PDP has never been controlled by one man!
But today, you see one single man wants to control such a big party,, and you have some fully grown adult men following him upandan.
When a country has a compromised and corrupt Judiciary, this is what you get.
How can one single man attempt to control PDP? You want to control state, you want to control center, you want to control party, you even want to control a governor.
These continuous gluttonous acts will be the end of Wike. |

Remaining the Grandmaster himself - H.E Emperor Wike, the Wicked One, the self-acclaimed Madman who would later join the team after completely annihilating the Fee Dee Fee at the federal level.

Joshthefirst: I don’t love or worship Ronaldo or any other person. I’m simply pointing out the irony of using an example of pride as a statement of humility.
That’s all. Jesus never “lost his temper” Jesus never sinned. Unless you don’t believe He’s actually Lord. I’m not claiming perfection, I’m just trying to point out something people do commonly that is wrong so people will benefit. People commonly wrongly label actions of self centeredness or pride as “humility” Peace bro Have I become your enemy because I tel you the truth? In summary; A humble person is not one who is humble 10 times out of 10.. A humble person is one who is humble 7 or 8 times out of 10. |
Sports › Re: Why I Don't Greet Cristiano Ronaldo - Ngolo Kante by ddippset(m): 5:00pm On Dec 17, 2025 |
Mo Joshthefirst: Its very simple, people will always be racist and treat others badly, you cannot control how others treat you but you can control your response. I’m not justifying Ronaldo, I’m only faulting the description of Kante as humble, true humility is not easily offended and won’t hold grudges. Simple By brother no one is ideally humble... Humility does not mean 10 times out of 10 you're humble, It actually means 7 or 8 times out of 10, you're humble. I am a Christian and even My Lord Jesus Christ lost him temper in the temple.. So yes Kante is humble and there are loads of testimonies to support that. Your love or worship of Ronaldo should not make you deny that all of a sudden. |

Joshthefirst: Coincidentally if he was truly humble he won’t be so seriously offended by Cristy’s actions, so this is actually pride in action, not humility You don't get it,, this message requires logic, critical thinking and a little more than your common sense. When an athlete who is big, tall and good-looking treats a less physically endowed athlete that way,, There is a feeling of discrimination and racism.. It's not as simple as you think. |

Unlike the states that have about 20 to 30 members, the NASS is more difficult to control. So what? Imagine such a watery assertion! NASS is more difficult to control..!!! Vision101: Would you ask the governor to stay but insist on the legislature going? Would you declare a state of emergency and ask both to stay and run normal apparatus of government? What is the difference? Would you ask the governor to stay but you strip him of his powers. What is a statement of emergency with the governor and legislature exercising normal powers? No Emergency rule was necessary in Rivers, there was no serious security issues like we've seen in Zamfara, Sokoto, Katsina, Benie, Plateau. Stop defending absurdity and illegality.. If Tinubu felt the Governor was at fault all he had to do was allow for his lawful impeachment and another Governor brought in. If the assembly was at fault all that was needed was for the Senate and Reps to assume the legislative functions of the state and work with Fubara.. Stop giving hypocritical excuses for Tinubu's impunity. And by the way who's going to remove Tinubu for all the insecurities that have claimed thousands of lives under his watch? Even without resorting to legalities, for anyone to imagine that an elected President can remove an elected Governor is sad, mind boggling, unfortunate! Don't worry, one day another country's President will declare a state of emergency in another country when the leader is unable to prevent killings and anahilation of his citizens... Trump already gave a warning. |

Vision101: The primary aim of law is the good of the society. There is no law without gaps. Some have more but many are tighter.
Can you imagine where there's no law that allows for declaration of state of emergency and there's a political chaos in a state. What will the country do? What will the president do? Stand aloof and watch destruction everywhere? This is not the intention of the law.
During Yaradua's death the country was confused because there was no precedent. The country then invoked the doctrine of necessity. This will guide the country in future. So you still don't know that people are not against the declaration of SOE but they are against the removal of the Governor? Is it that you don't know or you are just pretending?? |
Politics › Re: President Can Declare Emergency, Suspend Elected Officials - Supreme Court Rules by ddippset(m): 1:58pm On Dec 15, 2025 |
O Misterone: When you study the judgement critically, you'll know that the supreme court is right. Power must have limit! The governors have immunity against any prosecution while in office. If rascality is also granted to them, then, one of this days, a governor can declare war on a tribe, or part of this country and claim constitutionality. On the party of the president, NASS is acting as a check and balance. So the Senate is acting as check to the President but the State Houses of Assembly are not acting as checks to the Governors? See how you are displaying "small pikin sense" on the Internet?? |
