Don't worry about your petition expiring. The Consular officer has the authority to extend the petition's validity until such time as you manage to appear for an interview. It's okay if the appointment you set up comes after the expiration date of the petition.

Thank you ma'am, appreciate. I called the embassy today and I was told that my fiance ought to have received an instruction although I don't know if it's from Lagos embassy or NVC buy my fiance hasn't received any message from both sides. Could that be the reason I'm not able to get an appointment or generally there are no appointment available yet for k1. By the way, pls correct the Lagos us embassy you have its is not +234 414406218 the correct number is +234 14406218 I'm sure you mistakenly added one 4 cos it says the number doesn't exist, until that 4 was removed b4 I was able to get through. OK ma, thank you for your response. My status on ceac shows ready for interview, I paid the visa fee on the 14th September but each time I type in the 8digit reference number and proceed to schedule the appointment it tells me to complete payment which I have already done at the bank. Before it's says there are currently no appointment dates now it says I have exceeded the number of times I could view the page. I don't know how long it's gonna take to be able to schedule my appointment cos it's well over 36 hours now that I paid. I'm a bit worried, you know that feeling

Hello ma,thank you for your timely response,i really appreciate. Pls I tried to schedule my appointment online for my k1 visa but after typing the mrv it shows me there are currently no appointment available and I tried a couple of times more but still got the same message,and afterwards I got a message on the page saying I am approaching the maximum number of times I can view the page. I have to get an appointment soon cos my petition expires in November. Pls what do I do?

I called nvc two days ago for our case number and I was given but nvc don't have my email address to send me any instructions so I don't knw if I should call back to give them my email address or I should go on with download of the packets i'll need, payment of visa fee, appointment schedules and medical reports( it's a k1 petition) pls can you reply me with the link where the documents are not expired,is ds160 the right thing to fill online ?and pls do you have an idea when the petition is likely to be sent to Lagos since I have the case number already. Thanks a lot, in anticipation for your response.

Good day VO, I thank you for all u av been doing,May God reward u fully....I am your frequent follower but was always sad cos my petition was pending for years,i told you in February that my k1 petition was filed in 2013 and didn't hear anything until January 2015, I am the only one that understands how life was for me those years if waiting with my man not right beside me. I asked u if it was been reviewed over again and u replied me that it's most likely,u were right! but I am glad to inform u that we got approved this August,that I am happy is an understatement,my heart is filled with gratitude to God for standing by Us.I av not heard from nvc,but I wld like to ask if it's OK for me to start gathering wat will be required from me at the embassy here in Nigeria and pls tell me all the things I'll need to have. Please I will be asking u questions often now and at the same time feed u back as it goes and I will be grateful if u are always here for me. Thanks a lot

Good day ma,i really want to appreciate you for all ur effort here,God bless u. Please I need your help concerning my K1 petition, my fiance filed for me in may2013, and he got a receipt number and also an RFE which he followed up with in September 2013. In October 2013 his us passport was stolen without him knowing cos he moved from his house to a bigger apartment thinking he's gonna be married soon. On the 23rd of October 2013 he got a message from homeland security to come for an interview though he didn't know what was wtong,it was there he was told that someone tried to use his us passport to enter the country an that they are investigating. In October 2014 the homeland gave him a new us passport and told him they didn't find him guilty but during the cos of the one year investigation my k1 petition was retrieved from uscis,so in December 2014 he got a message from uscis that they received his petition and gave him a new receipt number. Now I don't know if the uscis is starting to review my case all over again or my case has been sent to nvc.i miss my fiance a lot sometimes I wish I could cry out loud.
