PoliticsRe: 2019: PDP Presidential Aspirants With Corruption Allegations - Premium Times by DeboAkinbami: 10:07am On Sep 17, 2018
Which of the allegations mentioned against Saraki is not speculative?

Which of the allegations is proven?

It's obvious the author of the post is hasty and petty. If he is not, he would not show this crass incapacity to differentiate between prosecution and persecution.

That said, Saraki's only sin is his distance from the prevalent treachery in he ruling APC.
PoliticsRe: Twitter Community Amazed By Bukola Saraki’s Interaction With Young Professionals by DeboAkinbami: 2:11pm On Sep 16, 2018
For those who know the genius by the name Abubakar Bukola Saraki, he is not one of those leaders who fluctuate or impress persons because of one political point or advantage.

The onus is on all us to be discerning enough to know the difference.

This is one man who is sincerely out to salvage Nigeria and who has since been receiving great support and popularity from across the length and breadth of the country.
PoliticsRe: Bukola Saraki Engages Young Professionals On Key Issues In Nigeria by DeboAkinbami: 11:43am On Sep 14, 2018
It can be quite sickening how, as Nigerians, we are often quite hasty to cast aspersion in order to fan bad political embers. A number of comments here show that some either did not take the time to watch the video and choose to go by hearsay.

The Senate President's stance is quite clear and unambiguous. His points are that Nigeria as a nation cannot get infrastructure right without stable funding; that the road in question is unviable for public funding with private equity investors falling over themselves to build it.
Those who for certain emotional alibi or political pretence interpret the commentary to mean Saraki is unenthusiastic about the location or beneficiaries of the project are unfair and unpatriotic.

We must begin to place the strength and substance of issues above personal, political or provincial biases for the country to do well.

PoliticsRe: “What Has Saraki Done In Kwara Sef?” by DeboAkinbami: 2:50pm On Sep 05, 2018
Saraki has a long history of patriotism and service to the people. His reign as governor of Kwara state brought unmatched feats and gains to the people. Some of the many achievements are Kwara State University (KWASU) which he established and has not only become the pride of Kwarans but to the nation at large, the University all the past governments (military or democratically elected) could not establish for one of the firstly created states like Kwara. Ilorin International Aviation School; The rehabilitation of Ilorin Airport to international standard and construction of Ilorin Cargo Terminal.

The Civic Centre; Sponsored the Community Health Insurance and Kwara Safe Maternity Service; Established Kwara Advanced Ultramodern Diagnosis Centre which is one of the best in Africa rendering a world’s standard service at affordable cost; Provided us with Ganmo Power Generation Plant, hundreds of ordinary power substations and some injection Substations and Water Works Construction; Started and completed the Ilorin-Oshogbo Road, Baruten road, hundreds of road constructions and rehabilitations across all the 16 local governments of the state, particularly, Ilorin and other mega cities of the state.

The road from Kwara Police Command A Division to Offa Garage and many other roads were made dual carriage roads and rehabilitated during his first tenure and that of Offa Garage was extended to Ganmo town at the tail end of his second tenure; Sponsored the Kwara Child Rights Act; Every Child Counts programme where many children’s oriented policies were initiated; Voluntary Teaching Services; Kwara Stadium Modernisation, Expansion and Internationalization; Kwara Football Academy (KFA).

Established his own football team, Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club (ABS FC) which together with its twin team, Kwara United was always among the top clubs in the Nigeria Premier League; Ensured the maintenance of peace, creating an enabling environment for growth and development, enabling haven for several private sector industrialists to promote socio-economic growth of the state; The various estates (Mandate I, II and III, Harmony Estate, Irewolede Phase II, Mandate Estate Omun-Aran etc); Modern Market along Western Reservoir Road, Ilorin.

Facilitated the construction of Ilorin Ultramodern Central Mosque through his friends and associates as fund raisers in 2010; Youths’ training and retraining programmes on farming with startup kits and grants in Malete ADP and other parts of the state; The many agricultural NGOs as the best Nigerian Governor in Agriculture; Shonga Farm Holdings as a model farm, owned by GTB, FCMB, UNITY, KEYSTONE & ACCESS Banks + Kwara State Government, without an individual owning a share in the model “individual farming” system.

Youths’ involvement in the leadership of the state; Rehabilitation and Modernization of Kwara Office Complexes housing many Ministries in the year 2009 to boost the morale of Civil Servants and enhance productivities; The creation of office of Youths Empowerment Coordinators (YEC);
Tourism, Environmental, Women Affairs and other ministries had it big during his tenure.

This genius called Abubakar Bukola Saraki is the enigma that has since been at the helm of Nigerian Senate and been making unusual distinctions for the country against all odds. He remains very committed to the progress and prosperity of our beloved nation.

PoliticsRe: Starting The Conversation: The Focus Is Saraki by DeboAkinbami: 12:39pm On Aug 28, 2018
Unlike other presidential aspirants who are running for public office on certain puerile factors, Bukola Saraki has the requisite preparations and leadership credentials. He understands the issues and armed with those answers sought.

He has what Nigerians ask for.

I Never Want to Meet Someone So Lifeless Again, Trump Allegedly Told Aides After Meeting Buhari

The Punch Newspaper

United States President, Donald Trump, called his Nigeria counterpart, Muhammadu Buhari, lifeless after their April meeting, claimed global business newspaper, Financial Times in a recent publication.

Buhari and Trump met at the White House on April 30. Both leaders discussed issues bordering on fighting terrorism and economic growth.

However, as Trump is set to welcome President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, Financial Times, in an article titled, ‘Africa looks for something new out of Trump,’ claimed that the US leader described Buhari, whom he met officially in April, as ‘so lifeless.’

The paper added that Trump warned his aides that he never wanted to meet someone ‘so lifeless’ again.

“The first meeting with Nigeria’s ailing 75-year-old Muhammadu Buhari in April ended with the US president telling aides he never wanted to meet someone so lifeless again, according to three people familiar with the matter,” the newspaper claimed.

The PUNCH recalls that Trump had, at a meet-the-press held by the two leaders, praised the Buhari administration. He commended the President’s effort in tackling corruption and insurgency.

The 72-year-old American president had then called Nigeria one of the most beautiful places on earth, adding that he would love to visit someday.

DONALD TRUMP'S MEETING WITH BUHARI WAS NOT A SUCCESS!

By Taoheed Ajao

According to the Financial Times of London of August 27, 2018, US President, Donald Trump, is set to welcome Kenya's Uhuru Kenyatta to the White House this Monday for what will be the second one-on-one meeting with an African head of State since the US president assumed office.

His first meeting in April with Nigeria's ailing 75-year old president, Muhammadu Buhari, was reported by US presidential aides as not being a success because the mercurial and capricious Donald Trump admitted he had never met anybody as lifeless as the Nigerian president. There were no animated discussions on issues beyond the trite diplomatese necessitated by unilateral interest in arms procurement and mundane bilateral topics.

When observations such as this come from a president-in-aberration and a neophyte in government like Donald Trump, it is high time Nigerians acknowledged the fierce urgency of having 21st-century leaders -- much like Ghanaian president Nana Akufo-Addo, who addressed a gathering of US governors to thunderous ovation --who can hold their own in any elevated discourse with anybody in the world!!

Saraki is being persecuted and castigated for being a darling difference. This is a fact not so hidden.

That he has emerged the new opposition leader is indicative of huge prospects.

Our people need to be purged of faulty impressions and unlearn pedestrian politician teachings. That we have Bukola Saraki at the helm of the 8th Nigerian Senate has brought unmatched fortunes and finesse to our democratic dealings.

But for his courage, tact, shrewd and calm, the tyrannical elements of the ruling party would have driven the nation out of civility and returned it to the woods. Nigerians, to get out of here, must begin to apprentice distinctions and give commendation to who deserves it.

Saraki is being wrongly punctuated because of his penchant for best practices. Nigerians know he's a distinct character and a towering patriot, the reason he's loved across the divides.
