GboyegaD: Tell your wife what transpired and tell her the sister need move out of your house. She will not cease until you succumb and once you do, you are totally finished. I like as you add "totally" to that 'finished'! He doesn't know that he is finished already, by being entangled with his wife's sister. He has already lost her respect, regard, his position in that home. He is about to lose his priesthood and pride. If care is not taken, he will lose his wife and lose his identity. He needs to apply wisdom, but he needs to confess to his wife to save his marriage and be free from manipulation from that little brat in their home. I wish him the best of luck. |

Skydivine: Go to the market, choose any size and quality of tiles you like and can afford, buy the needed quantity. Then call the tiler ( the one that you have seen and liked their previous work) and negotiate amount for labor only. I am sure buying cement and soft sand in Owerri won’t be much of a problem. You can start with one trip of sand and 20bags of cement.
Let me help you with some figures
1 trip of sand = 60k 20 bags of cement @10k = 200k Labor 1500 per sqm x 79 = 118500 Subtotal = #378500.
Now you see that the #632000 they quoted for you can only give you #253500 for tiles.
The question now is, what type of tiles can this amount get to 79 sqm?
What you are looking at is 253500 divided by 79 = #3208 ( per sqm of tiles) To be honest with you, no 60x60 tile sales for this amount even 30 x 60 Nigeria tiles is around 5-6k . In all of these, transportation of materials could gulp another 40-50 k. I love your breakdown for him. I recently bought super polished Nigerian tiles (54 cartons) for #10,800 in Iwo Road, Ibadan. I think what he needs to get right is the correct measurement (to avoid over buying the tiles), sand, cement, and transportation. Transportation and offloading can take more than you expected. As for the tiles, go window shopping to know what's up😁. Ensure you buy a day or two of pricing oo cuz price no dey stay one place these days 😄 |

That's besides all the hidden charges that makes a 1min airtime finish in 40 seconds. If I remember correctly this was how you people kept defending DStv those days until their greed spiraled out of control and everyone started looking for alternatives. Nobody is being paid by them. Nah Una go still cry say they packed up and left like the other multinationals that couldn't manage in the torrid economic climate. You write without recourse to logic and fact! To Guage ordinary tyre is now #300 from #20-#50 in the same period. What's that percentage increase? The telcos don't have staff to pay? They don't pay the exorbitant taxes? Inflation didn't affect them? Dollar scarcity or FX to buy equipments and pay foreign vendors didn't affect them? Telcos don't have computers, car, gadgets and equipments to replace? Those renting properties, are you aware that as your landlord arbitrarily increased rent, so do their rentals also created? Are the telcos paying levies and taxes? Are the telcos buying the same diesels and fuel you and I buy at exorbitant rates? Let us be critical of ourselves and stop talking or arguing based on emotions. This situation presents a hard fact! Industry that contribute over 16% to the National GDP needs to be protected. Yes, they need to increase tariffs to survive even though I don't agree to 100% increase. |

Well, I took it well and will see a dentist to figure what is the cause. Until I got home and started recalling some actions that kinda hurt me a bit…. And I started putting 1+1 together..
Like avoiding me sometimes when we sit, the one that got to me was a day before when she stylishly sat and sniffed my cloth… it was after our conversation that it got to me when I recalled it cause I was thinking (so what do you mean)…
Cause I dress cool and all that… I guess she was tryna confirm that too (cause we are in long distance relationship and recently met). Felt somehow not gonna lie and I think I want to break up nicely with her…. Don’t think I can face her again.
Well as for the breathe part, a bit surprised but like I said I will visit a dentist. Please take her observation in good faith. Do not vilify her for pointing out what your so called friends failed to point out. From your write up, she didn't do so rudely or to spite you. She did so that you can be more appreciated. When the child reaches a certain age and start asking questions, she might tell him or her how you rejected him or her and went to the extent of conducting a DNA... The child will then hate you. Hate? The children will ALWAYS look for their father in any African setting. In the Western world, they may be hateful or simply not care. But you in traditional African setup, the children will always look for their mother or father, no matter what ANYONE told them when growing up. |

Odafe360: I posted a previous topic about my divorce with my wife and i got alot of advice on this platform which really encouraged & have me strength. I'm really grateful for the nairaland community. The only issue i'm still battling with right now is how to move on, i'm trying everyday to forget the past, but the more i try, the more it's becoming fresh in my heart and the pains too. I won't lie to you it's difficult. Sincerely sometimes i cry and the thoughts of ending my life comes and goes. I don't drink, I don't smoke, neither do i womannize and worst of all i don't have much friends cos I'm more of an introvert. A snippet of the entire problem is that most times we have an issue and she leaves the house, i've always been the one going to speak to her mum, plead and bring them back home, that's why whenever there's problem and she goes back to her mom's place, nobody from her family would contact me to even hear my side because I've become like a fool to them cos they know i'll still come. This last one that she left, we just had a little issue and she packed a her things and left. So many people not to go to her family house and beg this time around since i didn't send them packing. I swear guys, i've forgiven and tolerated what 90% of men won't forgive nor tolerate from her.
Please guys help a brother with more advice, how do i move on? Follow @john_doe (agba) on X. Read some of his posts and send him a DM concerning your experience. His advise will help you much. |

The truth is that these companies were making almost free money before, bad govt policies are now making them to work for their money by incurring high operational costs Una too like to dey attack MTN. Is it MTN that is driving the increment in prices? What truth is in what you are typing? Making free money even when fueling their base stations EVERYDAY and securing this stations themselves?
