Yes the presenter of a company application can be different from the real owner of the business name, only if the presenter is a CAC Accredited Agent but in the case whereby the presenter is a public user, then there is a challenge because the presenter will not be able to collect the certificate and the CTCs (Certified True Copies) at CAC office at dispatch point. Also, the presenter will also appear on the application document as a co-owner.

How can somebody get CAC receipt on Stamp Duty ? I paid 8,000.00 for stamp duty, all documents stamped electronically and Stamp Duty Certificate was printed but no receipt of payment on CAC platform like every other receipts. Why ? Or is Stamp Duty Certificate serves as evidence of payment ? Please explain.

Thank you for your quick response sir.
But why is the fine of #500.00 if the section is skipped ? Does it mean that it must still be signed by the Commissioner for Oaths?

The 500 naira payment is more like transferring the assigned role of signing & stamping to CAC, but the reality on ground is that CAC will either delay your company documents unnecessarily or will give you the option to collect your CAC 4 (Statutory Declaration part) to do justice to it by yourself, after you have paid the N500. Because without signing and stamping either by a Notary & Commissioner of Oaths your company documents will not be release to you. So the best is to give the job to a CAC Accredited Agent or if you have started yourself already, get a lawyer to do that bit and move on.
