GDP is the measure of wealth of a state or country and not IGR. Most states like Lagos, port harcourt etc igr are high due to foreign coys etc and federal government presence and not basically taxable public population. That’s while a state like Anambra, Imo and Abia is far more developed than states you may be hyping for high igr.
Post the GDP of states nd most especially GDP per capital of each state: this shows how wealthy a state is

How can you get per capital of your state when most of your people can't live in your states. Make your states viable stop ranting.

We have the pictures, history and many more of Lagos for at least 50yrs before Nigeria ever came to existence. Nigeria, thru her colonial masters, beneficially selected Lagos as her capital because Lagos already had all what it takes to be a capital city, even ahead of some capital cities in Asia and South America. I'm sure many cities in your region today were just farmlands, hunting forest or waste lands as of 1850 when Lagos was already a blooming port-city, transacting with the likes of Liverpool City port etc.

Fact...the Benins, Brazilians, Portuguese all flocked Lagos even before Nigeria existed. Lagos has always had that attraction.

Lagos is what it is today by the fact that it was the capital of Nigeria and hence,federal strength was used to fix most infrastructures there and until the federal govt decides to decentralized development,nothing will change.
If govt could invest half of what it invested in putting up the different ports in Lagos,in portharcourt and calabar,I bet you most people will relocate,dredge Onitsha port to accommodate huge cargoes and see what is left of Lagos.

The new deep sea port in Lagos is by Lagos State government and private investors partnership. You people give these governors of your states too much lax and space to be lazy and corrupt. Your state governor can put up a port and promote a port, they have the capacity to do so, but they are interested in looting your money and spending money on politicking...but you people encourage their laziness...today power devolution have been passed into law, how many states are sourcing for investment for their power/electricity sector?

From our history, it is more feasible to hold FG accountable than governors sef.
