Biko, who knows of any decent mini-flat around gbagada, surulere, Anthony, ilupejuhuh

If you also know of a decent and affordable one on the island either at VI or Lekki (but not beyond Chisco round about), kindly hint a brother.

A BQ won't be a bad idea.

Please!!!

My rent expires in one month's time. I had thought I'd drag a bit till say Q1 end so I don't have to renew, since I'd be relocating to PHC; but with this news, I most definitely have to make the payment.

Another year in Lagos... 480k to be "coughed" out just like that...

NLNG, whyhuh

I'm yet to get my t-fare, too.

Sent a mail about a month after the assessment centre and I'm yet to receive even an acknowledgement. I decided not to bother sending further mails, cos I didn't seem to find any reason why I'd get a response if there wasn't any for the initial one sent.

4mula22:
That's my main concern right now...
Why haven't they paid me and some Ph guys the T-fare?
These days I check my account balance even more than I check my mail...

From afar, I hear the victory shouts...
Drumbeats of praise,
Echoes of great joy.

The last time I checked, it ended in praise
Though the passing of time, He's still the same;
Fret not my friend, 'twill all be well.

In spite of dreams, in spite of thought,
'Tis not in vain, and not for nought,
For in the end, you too shall dance.

Now say to a brother, All Is Well.

Did you do your AC in Port Harcourt?
Is there any PH AC candidate that has been reimbursed?

So since I changed job in October 2014 and considering the accommodation cost in Lagos, I had to put up with an ex-colleague, since the NLNG employment was just around the corner and there wasn't any wisdom in paying a 2-years rent and getting out few months into the agreement. Well, 11months and a heartache after, with tears in my heart and a big hole pierced in my pocket by its effect, I finally got a place last week. Every night I come out of my apartment, look into the stars and pray fervently that my dream comes true. I'm ready to give up the accommodation cost; yes, even if the offer letter comes today. Oh, NLNG; My NLNG... #RekindledFaith

Yes,boring and tiring. I suppose if your salary was delayed this long, you would still remain tough. If u dont get my drift, then its better to b quiet. All I meant was for NLNG to at least say something, give us hope that this seemingly never ending process is coming to an end soon. This has nothing to do with being tough. #hoping4dbest for U and I (winks)

I don't mean any disrespect, but I think you didn't understand Airsaylong's message.
He said he always viewed the "check your mail" posts as a joke, except the first time (He wasn't chastising her).
He also expressed his opinion about the rampant use of a wrong grammatical expression, which was not done in an insulting/disrespectful tone.
"tone" could be contextual and analyzed with some stint of perspectivism, you know.

Sexyjob, I've always taken your "check your emails" as a joke (well apart from d first time). However what I find totally unacceptable and seems to be rampant today is when people replace "I am" or "I'm" with "am". This for me is the height of sloppy writing. I hope all hopefuls don't make this mistake.
Airsaylong, He/She has already made the necessary apology and you need not over-flog the issue. In addition, I respectfully state that your reference to his/her expression as "sloppy writing" is quite insulting and somewhat disrespectful.

Lol... Boss, you suppose know say na joke na. I haven't been reimbursed and thought I should laugh it off.

tk4rd:
Ohh.. CHM11.. You've not been reimbursed too.?
Ok naa.. But that does not validate the theory which you guys are propounding.
If some people were reimbursed, and it happens that those ones whom NLNG have selected were not reimbursed, then, it means that NLNG have given away the results of the exercise even before the exercise finished., which I know NLNG is smart enough not to even think of doing..
The reimbursement is no big deal. The budget is little. The ones that are pending might be having issues with the account details they supplied, and I believe that NLNG must be working very hard to rectify them.
Thus, when they rectify the issues with the candidates, they reimburse them.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by DeeBlacque: 6:04pm On Aug 25, 2015
Come to think of it, why (as an organization), will I reimburse those I know will make it to my payroll? Come on guys, for those of us who haven't received any refund, we're dancing our way to Bonny already, cos our employment letters have been written with permanent markers. Does someone get the code here?
For those who have already been paid, ................*dodges bottle*... I mean................. *dodges slippers*... but wait...............*dodges blow*...............*runs away********

Dfavouredone:
Hello guys, though i have been expecting that they would pay, but it is taking too long.

Is there anyone in the house that has not been paid yet? Or is it just me remaining? I know one guy complained some time ago, have you been paid yet?

Any new thing we need to know.??
..
After these 120 pple are taken, are there going to be waiting-lists and other batches.??
Any idea please.??
Well, after me and the other 119 have resumed, I doubt our organization (The NLNG) will have more people on waiting list or other batches.

Then u lack tact and decorum. Your approach to business is tacky to say the least. This same thing u are boastfully claiming to be able to help people achieve is what Jarus did a while back without leaving a bad taste in our mouths.
His approach has the makings of a serious business and he didnt appear to be making ridiculous claims and careless statements. You, sir, have the business saavy of a garage tout. Your choice of words is disgraceful and I wouldnt trust u as far as I can throw u.
Should u choose a career in helping people pass their exams and ACs, I would suggest u approach Jarus for tutelage. Best of luck.
Inasmuch as I quite understand your opinion on the issue, I think you're somewhat as guilty for the offence you're accusing the gentleman of, though in a different context this time. "lack tact and decorum"; "business saavy of a garage tout"; "disgraceful and I wouldnt trust u as far as I can throw u"... these were expressions that obviously indicated your crossing the border line, taking due consideration of the CSR (Consideration, Sensitivity and Respect) doctrine. Howbeit, you've got your reasons for being so "straight" and I totally respect that. But in my opinion like I said, the "straightness" could have been coined in more subtle terms. As we move on, even after the conclusion of the NLNG recruitment process, we must at all times consider the very essence of emotional intelligence in our dealings with people, be us on the same side of the divide or not. If you must criticize, do so constructively, without resorting to slandering or character assassination.

Having said all that, remember... the mirror is where that beautiful face has been hiding all along. smiley
Now, look into the mirror and tell me what you see is beautiful wink

I have tried to patiently read through the 148th to 150th pages and all I can decipher is that a lot of people, having gone through the AC, have let fear and doubt subtly dilute the courage, resilience and faith which were telling of our foundational build-up prior to the AC. Truth be told, it may not have been a perfectly smooth ride for everyone but why attempt solving an algebra by chewing a bubble gum? Rather than assume vaguely or try to put the blame (of an eventual possible case of not being selected) on nepotism, tribalism, quota and all such assumptions, why not sustain the hope and keep the faith? Remember why you applied in the first place... cos you believed you can; and no matter how your AC may have been, it isn't over until it finally is.

While I await call-up for my medicals, I urge you to stay strong too.

Now, look in the mirror and tell me what you see is beautiful. smiley

All is well!!! wink

Some people will want food served them, and also want you to spoon feed them. DivineU has said all you need. Meanwhile, don't have any problem with those who just went quiet, it was necessary. I will quote one of the personnel. "WE 'VE BEEN FOLLOWING YOU GUYS UP ON NAIRALAND. WE ARE PARTICULARLY IMPRESSED WITH SOME THAT CHOSE TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF THIS EXERCISE. FOR YOUR SAKE, WE SUGGEST, EVERYTHING STAYS HERE.....WE ARE ALREADY IN, YOU ARE THE ONES THAT WANT IN.....IF YOU JEOPARDIZE THE EXERCISE BY RAISING THE BAR, IT'S YOUR FAULT"

You can't get that and start ratting the details here. As for the non-sensitive parts,
1. Transport will be paid irrespective of wherever you are coming from, only present your tickets if you flew at all. Not immediately anyway.
2. About 500 plus were called up with .... number required (I'm sorry i can't say that not to distract anyone. The number is good, only believe God to see you through)
3. There is only about 50% chance you will be in the same group with people of your field. Maybe 60% though as you could see French graduate with an Architect and engineer, so you are not competing with anyone
4. About 20 people a day but your group will not be more than 5.
5. You will go through various assessors, so bias is STRONGLY minimized. Meanwhile, the assessors have such great personality that made it seem they had been told to make sure everyone succeeds. Even if you deviate, they will help you to come on track. They are that good.
6. All the exercises are just as stated in the second mail, nothing more.....and please stop being apprehensive, they are not different from the things you have seen on the internet
7. You never can tell what they are looking for as they are as expressionless as those Americans that deny people visa. they just keep writing and writing, but believe me, it's not scores they are writing, so you can peep till Jesus comes, you won't see anything useful to you.
8. By now, you should know you not in competition with anyone, but yourself. Be yourself and nothing more, it's just like another social gathering and let God's presence be with you
9. If you think 1 hour is a long time because of some sermons you hear, then the exercise will teach you that one hour is no time. So don't try to impress anyone, just be what God made you.
10. Finally, I tried to be cautious with the food part. Lo and behold, I shortchanged myself cos no one was assessing that. We were on our own. You will be faced with varieties of sumptuous meals. it's simply king style (or NLNG style). Don't be like me, enjoy yourself to the fullest....Maybe they may start assessing that area sha but I doubt it.
"...as they are as expressionless as those Americans that deny people visa."

Officially, that's the best hint I got so far. #ExtremeHysteria

Whether u want to talk or not. The AC is going to last for over 2 months and the news will surely come out. Mscheeeeeeeeeeew. People will tell their friends even those shouting INTEGRITY will ask others.
But guy, why not just calm down and respect the fact that this is a public place and NLNG might be watching? If you must ask anyone for tips or reveal to anyone, you can do that privately; definitely not on this page.

In about 2weeks, I'll be due for promotion in my current place of employment (one of the big4(s)). Meanwhile, that's my third job since the NLNG process started. Howbeit, I hold on to every string of hope, while the NLNG wait is on. I only pray the process doesn't get terminated.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by DeeBlacque: 2:29pm On Mar 03, 2015
Between the date of application to NLNG and now, I have switched to a third job. Howbeit, my optimism of my spot with NLNG remains unwavering. The wait doesn't mean putting your life on hold or halting on your other many plans. Get busy, get useful, continually build your competencies and I'm most definitely sure that in the end, you'll have a better advantage based on the competencies built within the waiting period.
