Ayomide2345:Well, it wasn't a flat figure across the board, thus, it depends on your location (address/CBT location), check below for some of the figures: Lagos, Port Harcourt - 20k Gombe, Enugu - 14k Benin - 12k Abuja - 3k It is pertinent to note that it costs an average of 50k for a return flight from Lagos to Abuja, then. Also, some people were paid twice/thrice, while some people were not paid at all. NB The final offer was totally independent of the tfare o! Best regards. |
Horpe64:Well, there is a reason why they shortlisted you for the CBT. Also, your CBT performance cemented their justification. At this juncture, I believe you have little to lose (maybe transportation fare) by attending the interview, but you have a lot more to lose by backing out at this stage. It is pertinent to note that it is better to take a calculated risk and fail than not taking a risk at all. Consequent to the above, please be advised to put in your best at the interview. Good luck and best wishes. |
Franny18:Sorry about that, it could be due to technical issues. However, I'll advise that you contact NNPCL through the email address provided in your CBT invitation, please. |

electof:I will appreciate if you can prove or show how you can use statement 1. 3c - a =5c-3b to solve for a,b & c. Until proven otherwise with working, I still stand on my intial answer B Statement 2 (i.e. 6cb=10a) is sufficient by itself but statement 1 isn't. Cheers! |
SonyaSpence:Explanation: At present: let Aaron's age be y let Ellen's age be x David's age = x + 7 Twenty years ago: Ellen's age = x-20 David's age = x+7-20 = x-13 Given David's age = 2 * Ellen's age x-13 = 2 * ( x-20 ) x-13 = 2x - 40 2x-x = 40-13 x=27 Thus, Ellen's age = 27 David's age = 27+7 David's age = 34 In 10 years time: David's age = 34+10 = 44 Aaron's age = y+10 Given that David's age = 4*Aaron's age Thus, 44 = 4 * ( y+10 ) 44/4 = y+10 11= y+10 y=11-10 =1 Aaron's present age is 1 Correct answer is A since 1 falls under 1-5. |
electof:That's quite interesting. Well, we are all learning, kindly expatiate with working. Thanks. |
DonShearer:D Explanation: Let x represent the no of passengers that started the trip. At 1st stop: 1/3 of x alighted, remaining 1-x/3 = 2x/3 then 8 people joined, thus total passengers = 2x/3 +8 At 2nd stop: 1/2(2x/3+8 ) alighted, remaining 1-1/2(2x/3+8 ) = 1/2(2x/3+8 ) then 2 people joined, thus total passengers = 1/2(2x/3+8 ) +2 Given the new total passengers = 1/2x (half passengers that started the trip. thus, 1/2(2x/3+8 ) +2 = x/2 multiply through by 2 2x/3 + 8 + 4 = x 12 = x-2x/3 12 = x/3 x = 36 |
electof:B Explanation: You can use only the 2nd given equation 6cb=10a to solve for a+b+ c. 5a=9b=15c thus, 5a = 15c 5a/5 = 15c/5 a = 3c......... eqn 1 Also, 9b=15c 9b = 15c 9b/9 = 15c/9 b = 5c/3....... eqn 2 if you subt. either eqn1 or eqn2 or both into the 1st given equation 3c - a =5c-3b; the data is insufficient to solve for a+b+c; using the 2ndgiven equation 6cb=10a: 6cb=10a thus, 10a/10 = 6cb/10 a = 3cb/5........eqn 3 subt. eqn 1 for a and subt eqn 2 for b into eqn 3; 3c = 3c/5 * 5c/3 c = 3 subt c into eqn 1 & eqn 2 to get value of a & b; a = 3c = 3*3 = 9 b = 5c/3 = 5*3/3 = 5 a+b+c = 3+5+9 = 17 |
kkash:Good observation but please let me call your attention to option C - ABACUS which also has 3 vowels & 3 consonants but in the wrong order i.e. starts with a vowel & ends with a consonant, thus the order of arrangement of the letters could not be neglected. Cheers! |
Gbyms:B. Explanation: Series/Logic 6 -Lettered word. Each word starts with a consonant and ends with a vowel The consonant & vowel alternates |
cocococo:Just gut feeling o! |
BenFlash:Lool....EH end is near....Hopefully we'll be part of the selected ones....All the best. |
Big Congratulations to the initial 1050 GT New Hires even though it is belated. Another Big Congratulations to the recent contacted GT. With reference to NNPC official communication in February & the recent GMD's interview that GT recruitment has been concluded and that EH will be continuous process as the need arises; Could it be that the recent contacted GT has 3 years or more working working experience but less than 6 years? Maybe they want to place them in SS5 ( 3yrs Exp category) since no SS5 role was advertised during the recruitment. If yes, then they can be classified as EH too. Could it be that the recent GT list has been mistaken for EH? If yes, then it's the luck of those GT (what has been seen cannot be unseen), after-all some people were paid TF more than once whereas some people were not paid at all. Are they replacement for those that rejected the offer? Well by ending of March, NNPC had the full knowledge of those that accepted their offer and they could have replaced them immediately so that the induction will be together, I want to believe that was the essence of the 3months notice before the resumption. Also, I want to believe that the virtual induction/onboarding of the new hires has been concluded,I think the resumption date of the recent contacted GT should give us hint about the status of the EH, maybe the next induction will be for the EH and the recent contacted GT. This is just me thinking out loud, best of luck to the EH. |
Hello House, The article below should give you an idea how the final ranking would be done (Do not rule out the possibility of using the test score especially if there's a tie): Ogun State Tops in Zonal Stage of NNPC National Science Quiz … As 18 Finalists Emerge from Six Geopolitical Zones for Finals The zonal stage of the NNPC Annual National Science Quiz Competition for 2019 has rounded off with Ogun State emerging tops in the score chart. A press release by the corporation’s Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Mr. Ndu Ughamadu, disclosed that the representative of Ogun State at the South-West Zonal competition, Ojo Samuel, scored 70 points out of 100 which is the highest score among the finalists that emerged from the six geo-political zones of the country. The two other finalists from the South-West Zone, Aliyu Kayode and Akintade Abdullah, are the representatives of Lagos and Osun States who scored 60 and 55 respectively. According to Mr. Ughamadu, a total of 18 students emerged at the zonal leg of the competition which held in Owerri (South-East), Uyo (South-South), Bauchi (North-East), Minna (North-Central), Katsina (North-West), and Oshogbo (South-West) last week as part of the preparations for the 2019 edition of the competition. In the South-East Zone, the representatives of Ebonyi and Imo States, Mbazu Chinonso and Ozuzu Adaeze scored 55 points each to emerge first, while Nwachukwu Ugochukwu, representing Abia State came 3rd with 50 points. The North-East Zone saw Yusuf Ibrahim from Bauchi State emerge 1st position with a score of 60 points, while Nazifa Musa from Taraba State and Abdul Elkanem from Borno State scored 45 and 40 points respectively to emerge 2nd and 3rd positions. The representative of Kogi State, Abdullahi Omachonu, emerged 1st with 60 points in the North-Central Zone, while the representatives of Benue and FCT Abuja, Egbuiba Chetachukwu and Aimofumhe Eshiobomhe, tied at 2nd position with 55 points apiece. Utibeabasi Bassey representing Akwa Ibom State emerged 1st position in the South-South Zone with a score of 60 points, while Osayawe Oduwa and Okogbenin Williams of Bayelsa and Edo States respectively scored 55 points apiece to emerge 2nd. In the North-West, Bashir Al-Bashir from Kaduna State scored 45 points to emerge 1st, while Salisu Bunza of Kebbi State scored 40 and Osagie Jeremiah from Sokoto State scored 35 points to emerge 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. The 18 finalists will represent their various geopolitical zones at the grand finale of the competition scheduled to hold in September, 2019. The competition is set up as a core element of NNPC Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) package to promote science education in the country; prepare students for promotional and qualifying examinations; and build friendship amongst the participating students. Other objectives include: to develop students’ competitive spirit; to break down long-held stereotypes and engender a better sense of national being in participating students; and provide a platform for enlightening the students and the public on the activities of NNPC. Speaking further on the competition, Ughamadu stated: “Every year, the corporation through this programme raises scholars of repute. The exercise has deepened the interest of our young students to study science, and we are encouraged by the quality of scholars and their performances at various leading universities across the globe. We hope the winners of this year’ edition of the will follow on the path of academic excellence”. Ndu Ughamadu Group General Manager Group Public Affairs Division NNPC, Abuja. 16th July, 2019. As for the Tfare, 6th seems to be the only day that has been processed and guess what 6th was the only Saturday throughout (I don't think there's any correlation between Tfare & APL at all). |

A bus starts off with some passengers. At the first stop, 1/3 of the passengers get off and 8 people get on. At the second stop, 1⁄2 of the remaining passengers get off and 2 get on the bus. There are now half as many passengers as started the trip. How many persons started the trip?
