This guy doesn’t know how to play the game as an abroad based.
While based here in the West, you shouldn’t date them for long. Only start dating them when you have less than 8 weeks to ariive Nigeria, that way you will get them to come over immediately you land and you wouldn’t have spent much money funding their life styles.
I did same last 2 months when I was in the country for vacation. After having a nice time with my flings while I was in Lagos though they were all compensated for their time lol,
It was thereafter all of them threw heavy bills on me lol. Each of their request ranges from buying iPhone 14 (500k) , buying air conditioner (150k) , paying for shop rent (170k), paying for a new apartment (450k) and so many more.
Immediately I landed back here, I blanked them all.
These ladies don’t love us at all, they only love the benefits coming from the guys based abroad. They all have boyfriends residing with them in Nigeria and these boyfriends know the abroad based guys funding the life styles of their girlfriends.
The OP is still a learner in the game. |

Moreso why can't he travel out as his mates did or invest in good business as igbo boy or get back to school? Bro na p***sy ruined most of these guys then because they were big boys those period. Imagine!! That was when $1 was less the #200. |

Travel › Re: Why I Now Have A 'japa' Plan (even Though I Love Naija) by Deeegbee: 9:02pm On Oct 28, 2024 |
Beekeeper1: I’ve always been that person who says, “Naija till I die!” I grew up here, spent my whole life here, and I love this place like it’s part of my DNA. The food, the culture, the vibe—there’s just nothing like it. Even when my friends left for “greener pastures,” I was here, holding down the fort. “Who will remain to fix Naija if we all run away?” I’d joke.
But last month, my patriotism met its match.
It all started on a Monday morning—the kind that already feels like it’s out to get you before it even begins. I had a big presentation that day, one that could finally lead to a promotion. I got up extra early, suit pressed, slides perfected, and was out the door, determined to make a great impression.
Then NEPA happened. Halfway through my morning routine, the lights went out. No electricity. “No wahala,” I thought, scrambling to find my power bank for my phone and a flashlight to finish getting ready. I wasn’t going to let a little thing like no power stop me, right?
As I headed out, I noticed the fuel gauge blinking “empty.” Just my luck. I made a quick detour to the petrol station, only to be greeted by a line that looked like half of Lagos was there. An hour later, I was still in that line, watching the time tick by as my promotion dreams started slipping out of reach. But I finally got fuel, threw a thank you to the attendant, and sped off, hoping to make up for lost time.
And then I hit the traffic. Not today, please, I thought, gripping the steering wheel, whispering every “I cast and bind” prayer I knew. But Lagos traffic doesn’t answer prayers—it just swallows time, no matter how hard you beg.
I was almost at the office when I got stopped. You guessed it—police checkpoint. The officer took his sweet time inspecting my documents, dropping hints about “something for the weekend,” and I watched the last precious minutes melt away. By the time he finally waved me off, I’d missed my meeting.
When I finally got to the office, my boss didn’t even let me explain. She just gave me the look, that one that says, You had one job. I knew then that any hope for that promotion was gone.
That was it. I was drained, frustrated, and completely over it. It was like the universe was telling me, “Oga, it’s time to go.”
I don’t want to leave Naija; I really don’t. But sometimes, loving this place feels like being in a relationship with someone who just can’t get it together. You see the potential, the charm, the good heart underneath, but there’s always something—always some last-minute obstacle, some hidden clause that makes it so hard.
So yeah, I have a ‘japa’ plan now. I still love this place, and I always will. But maybe I need to love it from afar, with a little less “NEPA wahala” and a bit more stability. It’s a bittersweet plan, but hey, maybe one day I’ll come back, and Nigeria will be ready to meet me halfway.
Until then, my ‘japa’ plan is officially on standby. Because as much as I love this place, sometimes love just isn’t enough. LOL Glad your eyes are wide open now. From Nepa to Fuel to Traffic to Police Wahala😆😆. Those who saw the picture long ago have all left. It is not yet late to leave but it is now tough than before!! |

My CELPIP result is as follows:
L =9 R =8 W=10 S=9

Is this a good score to get into the pool? Or should I strictly target PNP Nomination?
I calculated my score and the CRS is 414.
Please advice. Your score is okay for PNP |

Fibonacci88: I remember Texaco. Back then petrol stations were owned by exploration companies. Texaco was owned by Chevron, Mobil, Agip, shell total all had their downstream sectors thriving. Then 1 liter is 1 liter no adjustment of meters. Today u have different petrol stations with rigged meters selling low quality fuel capable of destroying ur engine. Most of these exploration companies still have their downstream subsidiary and they are fully operational in other countries. |

musicwriter: You've made a good observation.
This could actually be the reason why there are more Northeners in top government offices. I know a customs officer (well remunerated) from the South that resigned from his job and traveled abroad.
Our best brains are not in Nigeria. I've long noticed that one LOL at well remunerated. How many of them earn up to 500k. The glorious days of those professions are all gone! The customs, immigrations and other paramilitary organizations now rely on bribes to live well in Nigeria. I was in Nigeria recently to get a 10 years passport, just come and see the way they were all begging for money knowing well I just arrived from North America, they have no shame at all. Imagine grown up men begging for 5k. |

Kenn55: Canada has a population of 39million, UK has a population of 68 million, US has a population of 340 million people.
US is world's biggest economy, UK is 6th, Canada is 10th biggest. How is the number of jobs supposed to be identical in these countries?
Do you guys just spew trash online just to console yourselves or you actually believe in what you say? Which kind of illiterate comparison is this?
Btw, Nigerians in Canada wey dey "hear am" are ones that came to school without money with the hope of working to raise money for school fees and living expenses. Unfortunately, the chances of that happening now is very low.
To your last point, migration didn't start in 2015. People have been migrating before then. The thing now is lots more people want to migrate for obvious reasons and they are now getting desperate. This is just not only Nigeria. The rate of migration since after covid has tripled globally and the reason is that almost all countries of the world suffered economic decline after covid and the worst hit are 3rd world countries. Thanks for the response. Everyone in Nigeria believes we are all struggling in Canada. They are all saying that just to console themselves. |

I decided to go check him at his house to discuss one-on-one, only to find out from the landlord that he moved out last month, as the police were looking for him due to money and passports he collected from different people. When I called him and told him I was at his house, he immediately hung up, and his phone has been switched off since. Lucky you were saved from the claws of a dubious agent Some Nigerians no longer have conscience. |

I got this gist from a friend, and he needs help understanding this scenario as this lady had gone blank. You ran into a beautiful girl while driving, you parked, chatted her up and exchanged contacts. This guy was very much interested in having her a serious girlfriend. Few days later, he tried chatting her up but no response or interest from this said lady. Though, he tried so many times without success. Then, this guy switched up the game to being naughty, cocky and always teasing her he would like to have fun and get down with her, the lady started responding to his chat immediately. Fortunately, they both agreed and fixed a date, the lady ask the guy to pick her up at close of work at her company's gate. Guy drove to the company's gate, parked, waited for her, she arrived and hoped into the Car. They drove down to a nice Lounge in GRA, both wined, dined and joked together. Also, telling him how come he is so bold to tell her what he wants Later on, guy asked how far? Can we go ahead to book the room as agreed. The lady affirmed, guy said this lady made love to him as if they had both been dating for years, she kissed him passionately, gave him head, rode him and did everything to make themselves happy. Lady was happy with the session without any monetary compensation and started calling the guy 'her love' There was spontaneous communication, chatting and voice note from this lady for the next 2 days and then the lady blanked thereafter. She is no longer pick her calls nor seldomly reply to his chat like before. The guy is worried what might have gone wrong? |

Never upgrade any woman to be better than you. It is better you leave that woman in Nigeria while you hustle abroad. It is better you hear that there are alot of men knacking your wide here in Nigeria than bringing her over.
Whenever you come back, you can decide to do a Paternity test and take the kids that belong to you and leave the rest for her.
Women are not good people to upgrade. Never forget that your mother may be a good mum to you but a bad wife to your father.
