You can request the RL from either your Line Manager or any of your Colleagues alongside their ID Card.

At the very least you can threaten a licensed consultant by saying you'll report to their licensing body. Who will you report an unlicensed consultant to? He's a lone agent.
IRCC has it in bold letters on their site, that you do due diligence with whomever handles your application.
So in this case who claims responsibility? The owner of the application!

If that Scammer is documented in Canada, I bet She will be forced to make a refund with abeg or jail time awaits her especially if she is not licensed to offer immigration services LOL!

It was a scam right from the beginning. Visa agents would ask you to pay different fees and give you fake letters all for it to end in "your visa application was denied." Just last week, my uncle called me to check the Canadian work visa papers of an iron bender who works on his site, long story short, all his papers were fake and when I called the visa agent to demand for his (the iron bender's) IRCC account details which everyone MUST have when applying for visa to Canada, the scammer visa agent said he was working directly with "the commission". When I asked him to tell me the exact commission, he cut the call and stopped picking.

You have been scammed! It always ends in "your application was denied!"

It has been said several times on Nairaland - "NEVER USE VISA AGENTS! DO THE WHOLE PROCESS YOURSELF!!"

Don’t you feel the victim can get a refund since the Scammers lives in Canada especially if the Agent is not a licensed consultant!

Good day all, I applied for the Canadian PR Visa programme for self employed in 2020, using an immigration consultant that shuttles Calgary amd Lagos. She used her addressed for my correspondence with immigration Canada as she handled it on my behalf and every payment I made was routed through jet.
I also duly paid all her fees and every other fee required for my application and those of my dependants.

Long story short, after going for biometrics in 2023 , she called to inform me that my application was denied.
This year, someone informed me that since I had paid the visa fees and I was not given, that the practice is to write to Immigration Canada for a refund.
I called.my consultant and informed he and she said she was not aware of such. After much talk over some days, she reluctantly agreed to write the letter requesting for my refund and send me a screen shot of the purolported letter.
However, since then, she has not been forthcoming with any update. She rarely picks my call and if she is gracious enough to pick ot, she will just tell me that there is no news from Immigration Canada.

So I want to ask thos noble house,
1. Are my not entitled to a refund of my visa fees ?
2. If yes, how do I go about it

I know dem Waterloo, UoT, McGill and UBC are hard to enter, but there are equally good schools like University of Ottawa, Western University etc. Wetin do those ones?

Tuition fees for most University are expensive compared to the fees for colleges!!

I didn't compel him, To keep his tools . We closed December, gave him funds. He decided on his own to leave his tools for the holiday. He had a choice.

The guy said you and your team compelled him leave the working tools on your site.

In the mean time, I feel you should go ahead and fix the glasses to the already fabricated windows pending when he raises money for the stolen materials.. make una gather mind together and resolve this amicably. What he needs to continue is the glass for the windows, so he can at least install the panel he has coulpled.Which he said he won't bring until I buy his tools back. Meanwhile we are trying to raise funds for the missing materials.

Meanwhile we are offering to rent tools for him to complete the job. He has refused.

Why should you say you will rent tools for him? You are after him completing your job and not showing remorse or plan on replacing his missing tools, knowing fully well you advised him to keep his tools on your site against his wish.

How do you expect an artisan to feed himself and his family without a WORKING TOOL? Have you showed any concern on how he has been surviving since his tools got missing from your site? How do you expect him to execute jobs given to him from other Clients?

I read one of your posts where you claimed his generator was at the end of its Lifespan, is that what a reasonable person should argue on?

What if he has no access to source for another working tool?

Fix or replace his tools and then come back to Nairaland to report him if he doesn't complete the job given to him.

But some people heartless in Canada. My brother was supposed to pay rent by June 30, and we're still trying to arrange the money to send to him as he's not working yet. Yesterday, July 7, his roommate threw him out and rented the room to another person who will move in the next day, in a shared bedroom... just a 7-day rent delay. That's terrible!!

The guy even tried for 7 days!!
