ThumbzTNA: Your father is a bigger fool. If not he would have taught you not to go where you are not invited. Or is your name among the idiot NLers that I tagged?
that's why I called you a fool, cause none of those names you mentioned are igbos, stop fooling around kid this is nairaland
Some miscreants from the poorest parts of "rich states" make the loudest noise. Bragging about the wealth of their state but unfortunately for them, the wealth they brag about is owned by people from other LGAs in their state, while their own people from the LGAs they come from are broke. (JuliusMalema pick your sub)
I'm from Afikpo, I brag different
My Afikpo just produced the first female VC of FUTO, Imo State. (Don't forget that Afikpo produced the VC of University of Agriculture, Abia State). We dey go school, no be today
Afikpo women are powerful. Read power o, not BBNaija celebes that fade after one year (sufferingboy pick your sub)
List of influential Afikpo women
Sinach - Nigerian singer with the most YouTube views and one of the biggest gospel artistes in Nigeria
Uche Azikiwe - First first Lady of Nigeria
Priscilla Ekwere-Eleje - First woman to have her signature on the naira note

you are a fool, open your eyes , some fake nairaland Igbo wannabes set you up to create hate between igbos and you took the bait? are you new to nairaland? they are all none igbos, be warned

God didn't put igbos in Benue, Gowon did by carving Igbo communities to his state back then when Benue plateau was one single state just to reduce Igbo population, they carved some to rivers state, carved some to the then South East state now Akwa ibom and cross river
you all need to protest for your voices to be heard
thebosstrevor1: I have never encountered the Nigeria soldiers before and even SAR have never stopped me before. We might live in the same country but we have different realities.
Stop trying to impose your own reality on others
have you been questioned in a foreign country about your origin? why do you think you are living like a king in Nigeria and others are not living like kings in foreign countries?
thebosstrevor1: Anyway, you are entitled to your opinion.
Nigeria is my home country, i love my culture and my people, i rather die as a king here than live in a foreign land where every seconds of the day, i will be asked questions like where are you from? My children even with the accent will be asked where are you orginally from?
The most insane thing is after all your bloody agitations and imagine you get oduduwa, it will be a shame that after all your noise making, you still decide to live abroad instead of coming home to live in your "oduduwa paradise"
you are not living like a king here my friend, Nigerian police, soldiers etc do more than just ask you questions, innocent people are Harassed, beaten , extorted and even killed by Nigerian security men everyday , asking you where you are originally from is not bad, even here in Nigeria people focus more on your tribe than focusing on you as a Nigerian
thebosstrevor1: In 20 years, most of you IPOB supporters on nairaland will be 38, some of you will 48 and still living in Nigeria or Abroad with a Nigerian passport, Nnamdi Kanu will be 74 years and living in a very nice mansion in the poshest part of London while you will still be struggling to get a better life.
You and I know that Biafra will never be achieved no matter the agitations, Nigeria will still be in existence, rather than be overly idealistic, why don't you take the opportunity to try to join the Nigerian police and the Nigeria military plus civil services, try to join Ebube Agu, this group might be integrated eventually as state police.
In 20 years from Now, when the agitations has lost the energy and reality set in, you have wife and kids to take care of, no job, i hope you wont be shouting another round of igbo people are Marginalized in Nigeria. When the opportunity was there, your leader said don't join the zoo army, police, Ebube Agu and everything that has to do with Nigeria, believe me, when reality sets in, you don't want to be left behind.
Life is about pragmatism, be wise and smart, dem no dey carry IDEALISM and ideology for head forever, at the end, a man must retire, he must relax and see his children grow in peace.
Biafra didn't start with nnamdi KANU, it started with ojukwu and people of old Eastern Region ojukwu is dead most of the people during the Biafra war are old most dead, Biafra is still here
nnamdi KANU will die or become useless, another Biafra will take over from him more radical than him, same way nnamdi KANU took over from uwazuike
Officialhorlah: The Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi, on Wednesday described the Eastern Security Network, ESN, as bandits and criminals.
Umahi made the allegation while accusing the ESN of doing evil within the Southeast forests.
Speaking on Channels Television’s ‘Sunrise Daily’ programme, Umahi stressed that the region’s governors would not allow such illegality in the Southeast.
Umahi insisted that individuals would not be allowed to take the laws into their hands.
He said: “And so, we won’t allow people to take the laws into their hands by killing cows and killing people. But I have to tell you that herders/farmers’ conflicts are not the only security challenges we have in South-East, we have the issue of kidnapping.
“And of late, we have bandits that are now doing a lot of evil and saying they are Eastern Security Network.
“They commit a lot of crime and say they are IPOB, and later IPOB will come out and say we had no hand in this, we had no hand in that.”
Leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu had in December 2020 established ESN to combat killer herdsmen and general insecurity in the Southeastern part of the country.
Following the establishment of ESN, a lot of youths in the Southeast have been recruited into the security
everything Achebe wrote in there was a country and the trouble with Nigeria is nothing but the truth, only he who wear the shoes knows where it pinches.
Smooyis: But he's not wise to know that another vociferous and loquacious tribe goes into war without adequate preparation only to get subdued and later cry victimisation
we didn't go into war, war was declared on us and we bravely defended ourselves for 3 yrs , yes we were victims of tribal hate, the 80' 000 igbos that were killed all over Nigeria from North, middle belt, and South West in 1966 were victims of ethnic profiling
babaolofin: There was bitterness and hatred. It created a lot of crisis. There was a lot of criticism. It heated up the politics. It was Prof ABC Nwosu that was defending the book. Different people commented on that book. Prof Achebe Achebe said he wrote the book several decades ago but kept it as an unpublished work. At the heat of the crisis, Prof Wole Soyinka said he should not have released that book. I saw many things in that book that I know is based on bitterness against Awolowo and manipulated of history .
Achebe criticized the political ideologies of both zik and awo
zik made this pledge in 1937
"that henceforth i shall utilize my earned income to secure my enjoyment of high standard of living and also give a help to the needy "
awowolwos Statment
" I was going to make myself formidable , intellectual and morally invulnerable , to make all the money that is possible for a man with my brains and brawns to make in Nigeria "
Chinua Achebe criticized these two men for those Statment, stating that
thoughts such as these are more likely to produce aggressive greedy millionaires instead of selfless leaders in Nigeria

just because it created a lot of crisis doesn't mean what he wrote was a lie, everything he wrote was the truth, he criticized awowolwo for stealing the election zik won it South West yes awowolwo did that, he criticized both awo and zik
babaolofin: Brother, because it is impossible to heal the wounds of war and because of the enterprising spirit of the IBOS and the need to move ahead, that is why we are supporting the freedom of the South from Nigeria and to let everybody goes on its own.
That guy (deepfeel) just like any IBO man can never reason objectively on the issue of Biafra. 90% of what they are saying is falsehood and propaganda. I had respect for Prof Chinua Achebe until I read there was a country , his last book which he released when he was about to die. I spent time to challenge and tackle Prof ABC Nwosu who was the person defending Prof Chinua Achebe on the crisis created by that book. Prof Wole Soyinka said Prof Achebe should not have released that book.
They are pained. They have suffered emotional and psychological effects of losing war. They felt they are not liked by the Nigeria system. They are highly resourceful, enterprising and hardworking. They believed the system is caging them and limiting their enterprising spirit and potentials. I think rather than wasting time on analysis of Biafra war, the South should come together as an entity to chart our way out of Nigeria. No IBO will ever agree with you on what happened during Biafra. To the Hausas, all those Yorubas that fought for them to sit on top of Nigeria just wasted their time.
whatever Achebe wrote in there was a country and the trouble with Nigeria is nothing but the truth
noun. A person who is contemptibly lacking in the courage to do or endure dangerous or unpleasant things. 'they had run away—the cowards ... ...hope will understand now
I repeat whatever names you call ojukwu or Nnamdi KANU ends with them, biafran soldiers igbos were still on ground fighting after ojukwu left, ipobs ESN are fighting in the absence of Nnamdi KANU
Christistruth00: The 10th Battalion was still in Lagos training when Col Iluyomades men fought the Battle of Ore when the Biafran Army had turned up in the Western Region unannounced it was a Suprise attack.
The 10th Battalion only sent to reinforce Col Iluyomade after the main Battle of Ore had already been fought and repelled that was why they could wait for 6 days for Army engineers from Lagos before deciding to Crossthe bridge because the main body of the Biafran Army had already been repelled by Col IlIluyomade’s men
my friend you have no idea on this topic you are arguing about, biafrans didn't turn up unannounced in Western Region, lluyomade knew they were coming he was alerted to go there and destroy the bridge to prevent the biafrans from crossing the very day biafrans made it to Midwest, the road from Midwest to Lagos was free biafrans were to reach Lagos in 24 hours that very night the crossed over to Midwest, it was banjo that abandoned the 24 hour plan given lluyomade time to destroy the bridge biafrans waited one whole week in Midwest before advancing to ore that was the case
Christistruth00: The main Biafran Army had almost reached Benin before the 10th battalion crossed over the Bridge after 6 days you heard in the video
It was Col Iluyomades men that repelled the Biafran Army at the Bridge even Gen Alabi Isama confirmed it was Col Iluyomades men who repelled the Biafran Army in the Battle of Ore
you are not making sense here, lluyomade men repelled the main biafrans soldiers in their thousands and the the 10th battalion was defeated on their first encounter with the little biafrans left?
col lluyomade destroyed the bridge to stop biafrans from crossing over delaying them for the 10th battalion that was set up within a week, that was all he did,
Christistruth00: Iluyomade and his Soldiers repelled the Biafrans in the YouTube Video the Biafran Army had already been repelled by the time the battalion got there the 10 th batallion were there as reinforcements.
The only Biafrans they dealt with were the Stragglers the main body of the Biafran Army was already on its way back to the Midwest.
what do you mean by strangglers? when biafrans invaded Midwest there were no soldiers blocking ore road lluyomade was asked to destroy the bridge to stop biafrans from advancing that was all he did, the 10th battalion were hurriedly trained and recruited within a week to go push back the biafrans , they had to reconstruct the bridge that was destroyed to stop biafrans from crossing
sangresan: I thought you were boasting about Biafran soldiers before...For your info, Banjo also led the force that invaded the Mid-West. For your info, it was Ojukwu who betrayed Banjo, and not the other way round. Ojukwu also betrayed many others. He betrayed Hilary Njoku and Alexander Madiebo.
Read Njoku's Tragedy Without Heroes. You'll understand better.
the Midwest invasion was very easy, 70% of the Midwest soldiers were Midwest igbos who already met with ojukwu and pledged their allegiance to biafra they worked hand in hand with biafrans and there was no battle in Midwest with biafrans
banjo met with the enemies after wasting a whole week in Midwest planing on how to take down ojukwu,
porthouse7: if a commander can run from a way zone why won't d foot soldiers surrender to obasanjo an afonja warrior and later president of d federal republic
a commander is needed at war front not a leader, ojukwu and KANU are leaders not troops commanders know the difference
don't forget Phillip Efiong a none Igbo Vic president and acting president of biafra surrendered to Obasanjo the afonja who was brought in at the end of the war
sangresan: Even the Biafran soldiers at Ore were commanded by Victor Banjo, a Yoruba man....Go and read your history books and stop 'forming' professor of history on Nairaland.
and that was the very reason that mission failed, because banjo the traitor was given a mission to reach Lagos in 24 hours, everything was well planned, road from Midwest to Lagos was free, banjo purposely delayed in Midwest for 1 whole week given the Nigerian government time to train new recruits and sent them to block ore , he was secretly meeting and negotiating with the enemy on how to deliver ojukwu to them , he paid with his life
porthouse7: KANU and ojukwu are cowards they ran away dressed as woman, how terrible can dat be
well good for them, king David of the Bible pretended to be a mad man to save his life
I repeat biafrans igbos were still on ground fighting after ojukwu left, ipob ESN igbos are fighting in the absence of KANU , igbos brave yorubas cowards
“Then, I moved there that night but I told Obasanjo that I was ill-equipped to curtail the Biafran attack. What can 33 soldiers do? So, he promised to reinforce and he did keep to his promise. Then, our total strength grew to 179 soldiers to defend the place.
I had premonition of danger and when I got to Ore, I deployed my troops towards the Western region. The bridge at Ofosu was the boundary, so I went ahead to survey the area to know the mountainous and forested areas. And I deployed my troops, so if there would be an attack on the West, they would have to cross the bridge. So I safeguarded the bridge and gave my troops instruction not to allow anybody cross over. By that time, there was an instruction that I shouldn’t allow anybody into the West.
After deployment of troops, I rose up from my trench at about 12 midnight, it started to rain heavily, but I told the troops not to leave their trenches. So, we dug in. Then, when I saw the skyline of the vehicles of the Biafran soldiers coming towards us, I shouted that no one should fire except me. And the battle started minutes past midnight. But the bridge was so heavy that they could not penetrate. If they had known that we had a small number, maybe they could have made the effort to penetrate. So we confused them, the place was well secured and we never lost any soldier.”
my friend I said the 10th battalion that was set up to counter biafrans at ore, the video is on YouTube search for it and watch it , all northern soldiers and middle belt not yoruba, iluyomade or whatever you call him never fought the biafrans, he was asked only to destroy the bridge to stop the biafrans advancing towards Lagos and that was the only thing he did before the 10th battalion took over , the 10th battalion took a whole day to reconstruct that bridge before they themselves passed with their vehicles to push back biafran on the Midwest side
The "fact" narrated to you by your miserable parents??
" anytime your hear yorubas beating the drums of war at night go back to sleep it will never happen, yorubas are verbal warriors " will it change this fact?
