press9jatv: he said it, I watch it more than 2 times STOP LYING. He said that in 2023 he was clear that a southerner should succeed PMB because that was what they had agreed from the beginning. When the host asked him about 2027 based on the same logic (the host said then a Southerner should remain till 2031) - he said no its different, and he gave reasons - He said - 1. In 2023 he was a governor and had clout to pull support for certain principles but in 2027 he will be a private citizen 2. In 2023 he was working for APC but he is not sure of being in APC in 2027, and that was an APC agreement. 3. In 2027 he can say, well southerners have been given the chance and if they didnt perform then BAT should be voted out. He was CLEAR. Its either you are lying or you dont understand English |

Gerraout of here. So is it that you did not see where IBB wrote that the coup "took on a distinct ethnic coloration" or what? |

If anyone tells me PO would have also removed subsidy and floated the naira, I will hear. What I will not hear is that he will also have been as wasteful and profligate as this government. For example he almost certainly will not have bought that new plane and I can't see him giving N200 Million to each NASS member. Neither will he make his son a prince in Aso Rock. |

Elibaba1: I asked because there are cases were people won elections but were not recognized by law. I give you a few example: Atiku won Adamawa Governorship election before he was picked to be VP by President Obasanjo. If you go through the list of Adamawa Governors you will not see Atiku’s name there or any of his portrait in Yola Government House. The second Example is late Abubakar Audu of Kogi state who died immediately he won the Guber election. Audu was known as the former Gov in the 90’s and early 2000 but not 2015 were he actually won but was not sworn in before he died.
At best MKO will be known as President-Elect, You cannot be declared or pronounced President or Governor if you did not swear an oath of office. This is the natural order! I know all that, but that is only for those like you who accord more weight to form over substance. Who accord more weight to process over justice. Who accord more weight to the letter over the spirit. You see, in life, there are situations where the call of justice is deeper than form, process or the letter, and we creatively and instinctively reach for substance, justice and the spirit and in so doing we pay no attention to such things as you mention, and this is because the call for justice, and the call of the spirit in those situations is too deep and too high to be comprehended by mere process. A wise man once said, the law is made for man, and not man for the law. |

You are the one assuming that since the rank has only been given to ex presidents, then its privileges are the same as those of ex presidents. If they were the same, then MKO's name and picture will be in every list or line up of ex presidents of Nigeria. |

Had the man handed over, even with the threat of crisis as I have pointed out in an earlier comment, by now we would have had a mature democracy A difference of six years may have made scant difference. The real loss was in the very injustice itself and the lives and resources lost. |

Image123: Sorry i mixed up the name. GCFR stands for "Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic," which is the highest national honorary award in Nigeria, exclusively conferred on presidents. The certificate in the below link clearly shows that he enjoys all the privileges of a GCFR.
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/06/buhari-formally-confers-gcfr-abiola/ It is still not the same as being posthumously recognised as a President of Nigeria. And I dont believe the privileges are the same. |

Ofemannnu: I heard there was a Kanu one million March organised by some Igbos to oppose the Abiola victory and amplifying support for the annulment. If true,Igbos have always betrayed Nigerians from the outset and they are chameleons also in wolves'clothings. That Kanus was a nobody. The Kanu that mattered was Admiral Ndubuisi Kanus and he stood firmly with NADECO and even became a chairman of NADECO before he died. |

Then Tinubu should write that he served from which year to which year Ma? There doesn't have to be a term, it's a ceremonial thing. And if you insist on a term it can easily be between his self declaration and his arrest. |
