Educationalserv:God forbid I be a Tinubu supporter,most people wouldn't support a northern Hausa/Fulani presidency again shortly after buhari,such candidacy would make many to abstain from voting giving Tinubu an easy win,peter obi is the biggest n best opposition candidate now with the required massive followers hip all he needs is deputy from the north with a wide appeal n the support of the other prominent politicians from the north in a political agreement/alliance,Atiku can't be deputy to obi so that leaves the option to persons like kwankwaso sule lamido,El rufai,, etc but of this lot kwankwaso presents the best formidable option take or leave it. |

treesun:I'm so much disappointed with the Igbos over the ipob/ESN activities in the SE,the mindless n senseless killings n destruction of Igbo lives n properties by Igbos themselves because of a thoughtless n fictitious struggle,it would have been understood if all the efforts were strictly aimed at resisting Fulani herdsmen criminal infiltration n attacks or other violent crimes but rather it turns out to be the display of stupidity of the highest order,I use to think Igbos are highly sensitive people but now I have lots of doubt n I'm sure I'm not alone,I may be insulted for my comment but that wouldn't be a surprise either. |

ogododo:Frankly speaking I can't understand the noise about this crude in naira deal,if dangote is paying for the crude in naira equivalent of its price in dollars,it means in practical terms that dangote is still basically buying the crude at the same price,so if dangote is to buy the crude from NNPC in real dollars there shouldn't be any significant change in the prices of their products if the price of the crude doesn't increase significantly,the question now is,is it that NNPC don't have crude to sell to dangote due to upfront sales agreements or they are just denying dangote crude for a hidden agenda?,or is it that dangote don't have the dollars (which is highly unlikely) to buy crude from NNPC?,I don't really see the big deal about this crude for naira scheme, something keep telling me ab initio it was all a crookish design for a dubious purpose,since dangote successfullycame on stream it has always been one story to the other from NNPC,where is the results from the lab tests from the US? please anyone with relevant knowledge should clear my doubts with detail explanation because the present APC government are deceitful n completely untrustworthy. 2 Likes |

zero8zero:Frankly,I won't blame the transporters,there are lots of abnormalities in this country, dangote refinery has the capacity to meet Nigeria's domestic fuel needs n much more, ordinarily the federal government should have been in a hurry to help dangote refinery to be operating at full capacity n completely flush out fuel imports n also help the naira to appreciate strongly against international currencies so as help drive down the prices of imports but what have we seen,all sort of hurdles were place in the path of dangote refinery, dangote had to fight a bitter battle to succeed,up till now importation of inferior quality fuel is still on going! n the government is celebrating that the naira is stabilizing at #1500/$!,what a shameful irony, selling of crude oil to dangote in naira has no tangible value in real practical terms,the federal government should make an arrangement of selling certain amount of crude oil to dangote at a reduced rate so that dangote too will sell the refined fuels to Nigerians at reduced prices for the country to see real benefits,the naira should ordinarily be amongst the strongest currencies in Africa n not the dismal rate we are been decieved to accept n celebrate now. |

CodeTemplar:sometimes the way our leaders thinks talks n act beat the imagination beyond description, even the most developed economies still subsidize some services n products for their citizens, subsidies could be gradually remove in a transparent manner while revenue is also gradually increased,our major problem is the inability to think deep n innovate, indirect taxes such as tolling of fixed highways, taxes on agricultural n industrial products etc are capable of making this country self dependant financially but all emphasis is just on crude oil,yes the revenue allocation to states has tripled but what of the exchange rate?,what of inflation?,what of the cost of fuel, transport n every other thing?,at the end of it all is the true results not retrogressive?,a complete much Ado about nonsense shikena. 1 Like |

yarimo:I don't know how some of you discern some of these things,that just a strategic move by the US n surely the US is consulting with the Ukrainians behind the scenes, ultimately Ukraine would certainly be involved,the greatest mistake the Ukrainians made was agreeing to handover the nuclear arsenal on their soil to Russia after the collapse of the USSR in 1991in exchange for security guarantee from Russia,the agreement of which Russia has since thrown to the dust bin in their deceptive n brutal character,I hope this would serve as a future lesson to other nations involved in treaty negotiations. |
