It is crystal clear that the noise and nuisance disposition of the APC in the polity has abated as it has dawn on them that President Goodluck will disgrace them at the poll. In fact some of their party stalwarts where noticed where they where discussing imminent defeat as their strategy of 'change mantra' has been questioned by Nigerians given the fact that they have failed to tell Nigerians the avenue as to which to attain the said 'change'. And in a case where their is an avenue, the big question is from what change to what? Because the change could be from good to bad especially as APC has a representation of 'Hawks and Emperors' capable of subjecting the entire country to their private estate and make Nigerians slaves in their own father land. This claim could be buttress from the way and manner the leaders of APC are courting with some foreign blocs just to dislodge the sitting government which invariably means imperialism is looming should these hawks find their way to Aso Rock. That shows desperation and one would not be mistaken if he terms these hawks 'desperadoes'. But unfortunately for them, the Nigerian electorate have resolved to vote enmass for President Goodluck whose character is an epitome of humility, service without desperation, dedication, commitment and compassion. A man who sees his political ambition as something that does not worth the blood of any Nigerian. Nigerians' resolution did not come as a surprise as the man in question is a quintessential transformer, the finest statesman in the annals of Nigerian history and a Pan-Africanist par excellence. President Goodluck has demonstrated his astuteness and administrative sagacity especially in the way and manner in which he has steered the affairs of this country. If one must know, Nigeria is one of the most difficult country to govern as its diversity speaks volume. But the most interesting thing to note is that the unity in diversity is the greatest strength of any Nation State. President Goodluck's administration has been able to harness the opportunities in this diversity. Today, the Nigerian project and unity still remains sacrosanct even as Nigeria has overtaken South Africa to become the driver of African economy. A feat that has never been attained under previous administrations. So it baffles me each time the APC as a party boast of winning the election. How many are they? What are they made up of? How rich is their manifesto and blue print? As far as Nigerians are concerned, they are all without any atom of sophistication. It is premised on the above adumbrated facts, that it is an incontestable fact that President Goodluck is being returned elected even as all the opinion polls conducted by reputable organisations locally and international puts President Goodluck ahead of Gen. Buhari. BY; COMRADE WISDOM IVO GIDEON OKAFOR ff @d_pumpin @pdpmediaroom247 |

We could aim at achieving a lot from the very beginning, where we gather all our thoughts and visions on the true path to excellence. Excellence comes from the mind and it is not just a thought that sprinkle in one day. First an initiation has to be taken, to initiate and make proper planning. This planning might require a form of a team to execute this excellence. A team that will make a decision to work through the thought of the visionary who is the leader of the team. If peradventure this team slipped by one member who probably have a diverted mindset, there will be trouble and chaos between them. It is positive if every member of a team have the same set goal to achieving the set aim provided by the leader of the team. Nigeria Excellence which President Goodluck Jonathan has had the initiative from the beginning to bring a lot of things for which some limitations by the people around him have caused a slow motion for its implementation. GEJ Vision to make a beautiful achievement in this country was delayed till this day that is why all the aims that are supposed to have been achieved just surfacing. So many setbacks from the few members who believe their belly is big enough to fit in all the funds that are supposed to be for the country Nigeria. Black Excellence, Africa Excellence, and Nigeria Excellence can be achieve if the people of Nigeria can look at the mindset of a man, who is a minor and has made history and whose vision has carried a lot of Nigerians to the very height and has transformed a lot in our beautiful country. If continuity can be given consideration to, I believe Nigeria can never be a setback to the former us but rather we will be a perpetual transformation to the future. A future when look back we won’t regret embracing continuity.Let’s embrace Black Excellence and Vote GEJ has the President of Nigeria to continue the good work he has started and finish up with a perfect conclusion. #GEJVision FF @pdpmediaroom247 FF @d_pumpin

Nigerians are known to be very clever both locally and internationally. In fact, following the trends of political events in our country today, one will categorically affirm that the political consciousness of Nigerians has taken a heightened proportion which clearly demonstrates that democracy has come to stay in Nigeria, hence, there is no room for any despot or dictator. It is no news any more that some conglomerate of desperate politicians have been chanting 'change' without giving concrete avenue as to which such change could be attained. But the good tiding is that Nigerians are wiser than the antics of the APC. It is a common knowledge that the opposition party and their blue print has no interest of Nigeria at heart as it has been discovered that the APC intends to take Nigeria to the dark ages where mediocrity reign supreme and fault-line politics hold-sway. It is instructive to note that the APC and their collaborators have perfected plans on how to pillage and ravage our country and possibly sell it off to their foreign conspirators which goes to suggest imperialism.I firmly agree with the position and statement credited to the Presidential Spokesman Ruben Abati. thus: "I think it is now very clear to Nigerians that the APC does not represent any alternative because it is a party based on lies. It is at best the personal property of one individual, it is a party that has been unable to sell itself to Nigerians successfully and so it has resorted to propaganda, blackmail, and deceit. On the contrary, the PDP which is the party of the people, has been campaigning on issues and it is very clear to Nigerians that President Jonathan is better prepared for the job. He is running on the basis of his achievements and is calling on all Nigerians to join him to move the country forward and not to take this country backwards. General Buhari represents the past. President Jonathan represents the present and a brighter future. That is the difference. And let no one be in any doubt: it is shameful that a man like General Buhari who truncated Nigeria’s Second Republic in 1983, is now seeking to benefit from the democratic process." Now the question is, why has APC's Spokesperson asked President Goodluck to negotiate with boko haram and at the same time criticize the Federal government for being weak? I think the APC surfers from acute amnesia. It is no doubt that the APC has something up their sleeves. Has Nigerian asked the APC National Leader(Tinubu) why he has not responded to the acusations against him on media over primitive accumulation of wealth? Today, Tinubu calls for 'change' when he has been an impediment top development considering his shenanigans on how the affairs of Lagos State Government is being run. Fellow country men and women, for me, The APC and its foreign collaborators poses dangerous threats to Nigerian democracy as the conglomerate of those who constitute APC are devoid of democratic credentials which stands as the bedrock for sustainable democratic values for any political clime that holds democracy in high esteem. It is therefor in this wise that Nigerians should rise and demonstrate to these hawks hiding under the cloak of progressive that they know who they are come march 28. ff @pdpmediaroom 247, @d_pumpin |
yes GMB is corrupt, the APC entirely is corrupt, so i find it not a new news. GMB must take responsibility for all the wrong doings and mis-achievements he gathered. #GMBHasFAILED |
Since the inception of the Nigerian State as an independent entity from the 1960s,her democracy has in one time or the other experienced interruption from the quarters of khaki boys which almost has made it impossible for any concrete development to be put in place. It is in this light that the PDP-led government should first and foremost be commended for ensuring that democracy is deeply entrenched in our political system as it is widely believed that the worst form of democracy is better than the best form of military administration. It is therefore instructive to note that since the inception of democracy of the fourth republic, the PDP-led government has been able to stabilize the country and provide physical, social and regulatory infrastructures capable of improving the living standard of Nigerians. Today, the Telecom,Road, Rail sectors are good examples as well as the power sector which has assumed the same dimension of transformation through its total privatization. Most Nigerians are pleased to remember with nostalgia that in spite of the current global unemployment challenges, how the federal government has and is working assiduously to provide the enabling environment for the private sector to create more jobs in order to complement the efforts of the government(in the area of job creation) as demonstrated through You-Win, Sure P, Presidential social Scholarship Scheme for innovation and development programmes among others. Furthermore, another aspect of commendation for this performing bride(PDP-led government) is the capacity of this administration to constitute and institute the national conference as Nigerians have the right to discuss their collective destiny and future. this singular bold and courageous gesture under the watch of President Goodluck Jonathan showcases the foresightedness and thoughtfulness of a visionary government. Also, in the aspect of security, this administration has done awesomely well. GEJ has over the years been a lover of peace and amity, and has demonstrated his preference for methodical and urbane conduct in office and of course gave room for several peace initiatives and amicable resolution of disputes. But his cool was abused by these one time brothers of ours now turned blood sucking demons putting the toga of Boko Haram. Today, the tide has changed as the military is inching on the deranged Shekau who has exhibited cowardice time without number. Consequent upon the progress made so far in fighting boko haram, it is instructive to note that the PDP-led Government has been applauded and commended by the international community, and it is in this wise that I strongly charge my fellow country men and women irrespective of political, tribal, and or religious differences to support Mr President in the fight against this monster called Boko Haram. In wrapping up this piece, it is my humble prerogative to commend President Goodluck's administration for deepening and solidifying the foundation for credible election, free and fair polls as the regime remains resolute in its principle of non-interference to ensure that the votes of the electorate count and that only those rightly chosen by their people are returned. No doubt therefore that this is the foundation of democracy which everyone and indeed other parties should embrace. |
It is believed and widely accepted that democracy is a government of the people,by the people and for the people. Scholars in the political arena will always contend that a viable opposition party breeds a healthy democracy. As a disciple of political science, I subscribe to the above postulation as it is well known that opposition parties serve as watch dogs of the government even as in some system of government like the parliamentary system, the opposition party forms what is called a 'shadow government'. All this could suggest why some Nigerians who knows the importance of a viable opposition party in a democratic setting welcomed the merger plan of what is now known as APC. But most unfortunately and regrettably, the opposition party(APC) deviated from the tenets that characterizes what a true opposition party represents as they reintroduced fault-lines politics and unrepentant demonstrated unpatriotic actions just to discredit the office of Mr President even as they failed to put into consideration issues that affects national interest just to make some cheap political points. As a matter of facts, the APC as a political party has failed Nigerian democracy as they have always thrown their face aside in matters that involves their antics as they never own up to the responsibility of questionable actions carried out by their members or leaders? Has Nigerians asked why the APC as a party has been unable to defend democracy and respond to the allegations of brazen abuse of office by their national leader when he was governor and a a present sitting governor? It has of course been alleged of how Lagos State treasury has been raped and pillaged by certain individuals to the tune of over a trillion naira. Unfortunately, all these involves task payers money. The APC has always engaged in petty talks that may not add value to the growth of our democratic drive as they have used blackmails as a political tool in order to gain power true the back door. It is heartrending that these conglomerate of desperadoes are so prone to forgetfulness that they fail to recall how Nigerians struggled to attain the democracy that we enjoy today. No wonder Gov Amaechi threatened to form a parallel government and has even on different occasions ask the military to protest. It is therefore clear to all and sundry that the opposition party has something up there sleeves as the shot of interim national government was raised by them(APC), which they claim was a tactics of the presidency to avoid election. But what APC failed to understand was that how can a sitting government plan to shoot itself on the foot, as nursing such plan if true means the government was planing to remove itself. But it all sounds concocted as no one will believe such unfounded allegation by a party(APC) that has demonstrated to the chagrin of all Nigerians that their desperate traits place no consideration to the overall well being of Nigerians and the safety of Nigeria as a nation state. It is therefore of practical importance to opine that APC has always demonstrated crass irresponsibility towards our democracy as exemplified by their unpatriotic cum undemocratic posture throughout this electioneering campaign as their actions, in actions and posturing represents unmitigated threats to our hard earned nascent democracy highly traceable to the lies and propaganda machines of the APC. They did not stop there as they have presented to Nigeria a dictator who has no respect for the tenets of the rule of law as their presidential flag-bearer. A man who destroyed our values in the name of 'war against indiscipline' that yielded no result but rather took us to the dark ages where mediocrity reign supreme. The onus lies with Nigerians to rise above the antics of these hawks in the APC and defend her hard earned democracy. |
IS IT TRUE??

Nigeria is a country characterized with over 371 tribes which makes it a common phenomenon to always have differences that if not managed properly could lead to disintegration of the country. Giving this touchy situation which the country inherited by shear providence, it has therefore required the efforts of Nationalist to keep the country intact irrespective of the numerous challenges that may surface. It is in this light that Nigerians commend the People's Democratic Party for its role in ensuring the sacrosanct unity of our great country. Peoples Democratic Party is a political party in Nigeria and its policies lie towards the right wing of the political spectrum. It is the ruling party of the nation and considering the information gathered so far, it is a party with national outlook especially as it has all the geopolitical zones adequately represented and devoid of any religious or ethnic bigotry even as its offices are found in every ward of the federation, unlike a party just formed less than two years ago that has not been tested and proven and of course merged/formed across ethno-religious lines characterized with divisive tendencies as it is ready to plunge Nigeria into anarchy not minding whose blood is spilled in so far as they capture the seat of the federal government. The APC has clearly shown that the sanctity of Nigeria's unity is not paramount by there statements and actions as demonstrated in the way and manner in which they make frantic efforts to bring our great country into disrepute before the international community just to score cheap political goals. It is in the light of the above that majority of Nigerians give kudos to President Goodluck's leadership style and peoples democratic party on whose platform Dr Goodluck is seeking for a second term as they have maintained decorum in the face of unguarded and gutter languages used by the opposition party to calumniate and blackmail the office of the presidency and the party(PDP) in this electioneering campaign. The APC resorted to hiring internet war lords to engage in mudslinging and casting aspersion on the person of the President, not minding the fact that the occupant of that office is the symbol of the nation. We as Nigerians will agree that we have made concrete progress as we are not where we were some years back, and PDP as a ruling political party no doubt may not have met all the needs of Nigerians, but that does not give APC the latitude to denigrate and frustrate the efforts so far recorded by this administration to the point of posturing to entrench anarchy in the system should they lose the general election as it is clear to all and sundry that the statement credited to the Director General of the APCP Gov Amaechi, that they would form a parallel government should they be short of victory. This clearly buttress the fact that these conglomerate of desperate politicians care little or nothing for the safety of Nigerians and the unity of Nigeria. The PDP therefore may not be perfect as already stated, but the APC is not better either and Nigerians should remove the scales on their eyes placed by the APC propaganda machine and rise above sentiments by practically demonstrating their commendation of the PDP in keeping this nation intact come March 28.

The glorious days has been right from the beginning of time when Nigeria got our independence. We strived for this day to become what Nigeria is today. The likes of Nnamdi Azikiwe, Awolowo etc. are the brains behind Nigeria’s success. Though right from the beginning the issue of corruption and rigging of election has been the order of the day but right from when GEJ took over, free and fair election was the key, hence, 2011 elections. Nigerians don’t have to be afraid that this election won’t be free and fair because of what the oppositions are twitting into. They are making it clear to us that there will be rigging. Let me make it a known fact that Nigeria has never seen free and fair election right from the onset but GEJ made it possible in 2011 and we all are witness of it. No coup de etat or whatsoever during and after the elections. Everything went smoothly like the skin of a day old baby. Hands to the Heavens, no man, no weapon formed against, yes glory is destined. Glory which carries the idea of heaviness and weight has taken its toll and in the poll of Nigeria’s election on March 28. This glory shall be sang on the day GEJ speak success. Do you want to be part of the glory? Then tag along and be part of what Nigerians has been singing right from the day freedom was made, right from the day independence was our, right from the day our colonial masters fled the country at night, right from the day we all sang “Oh Glory”. When the glory comes, it’ll be ours (GEJ/PDPMedia Crew). @pdpmediaroom247 #GEJ4NAIJA |
The First Handshake With A Graceful President.. -Comr. Wisdom-Ivo Okafor As a political reporter of one of the media houses in Nigeria, I was privileged to be in an august meeting of the PDP some few years ago known as 'PDP NEC Meeting'. It was around 12pm when it was announced that Mr President has arrived and would shortly enter the meeting hall, this information conditioned everyone to readjust and of course those exchanging banters and pleasantries to approach their sits as it has always been the custom of participants of such meeting to seize the opportunity the meeting affords to greet old time friends and political associates in as much as others sees it as a smooth platform to ingratiate themselves with the power that be as most Governors of the Federal Republic are part of the meeting. In his usual characteristics, President Goodluck walks into the hall with his face beaming with smiles, hope and great admiration, of which after the national anthem he quickly ask every one to please sit down for the proceedings of the agenda of the meeting and he never hesitated to demonstrate that unnecessary recognition of his person was not needed even as he always maintained decorum and high spirit as the number one citizen of the country which embodies the symbol of the nation. As a vibrant young man and a keen political observer who is always conscious to know what happens in the proceedings, I will always sit close to the walk ways where I could observe Mr President's gestures and especially stand close by should he be leaving after the meeting as it is in his nature to shake every one on the walkway. There I was moved and pondering over the way and manner inwhich Mr President humbly and intelligently attended to all the issues raised that pertains to the party and Nigeria in general, I came to the conclusion that no matter how highly placed one is, one could also be humble irrespective of that. Then, the meeting came to a conclusion, and President Goodluck was leaving, but I was overtaken by events and did not know that Mr President was less than a metre from me and amazingly,he was patient to get my attention which he did and shook me very warmly, but it did not end there as I felt I was on top of the world especially as I was not among the political class as to why Mr President should do that, then I realized that GEJ is a unique being who is dedicated to giving his people a special sense of belonging and high hope which demonstrates that no matter how high one climbs to the pinnacle of life, he can still remain humble. It is therefore premise on this unique character of President Goodluck Jonathan, that Nigerians should rise above fault-lines and lend our unalloyed support to him especially as he solicits for our mandate for a second term so as to consolidate on the awesome and sublime economic foundation that has been laid by his team. Fellow country men and women, let us jettison the lies and blackmails perpetrated by those who clamor for 'change' that they have no blue print as to how to bring about such change. President Goodluck climbed the true ladder of leadership giving his antecedents which incontestably as well as incontrovertibly makes him the change that Nigeria need embedded in the transformation agenda of this administration. President Goodluck is no doubt the new face of modern Nigeria and he has tactically staged Nigeria in the international community as the driver of African economy. A feat that deserves commendation from every quarter in Nigeria that really stands for truth, justice and unity |
The dictionary uses terms like “revolt”, “rebellion” and “insurrection” to define insurgency. The ultimate goal of course is to undermine or even dislodge the sitting government. Of course there is the resultant tragic loss of innocent lives where terror is employed as instrument. In principle, there are a few things the political opposition shares with a protracted insurgency. They are both in opposition to the government. In the classic case, the objectives of one may not necessarily agree with the methodology of the other; but sometimes they converge – like (most notably) the IRA and Sinn Fein in Northern Ireland; like ETA and the Basque nationalist party in Spain; like FARC and the PCCC in Columbia. The Nigerian opposition may not share any kind of organizational affiliation with the insurgents, but it is obvious that their objectives have been mutually sustaining. On the one hand, the activities of the insurgents provide a convenient stream of propaganda material for the opposition to brandish as evidence of state failure. On the other hand, unbridled opposition rhetoric serve to amplify the horror of terrorism and ultimately reinforce the terror effects of the insurgency. So opposition propaganda, itself premised on the outcome of terrorist activities, ultimately creates the scenario that the terrorists wish to see. It is sort of like an ideological buffer for the insurgents. It is clearly in this context that one can understand the latest opposition reaction to the current reversals being recorded by the Nigerian military against the insurgents. In summary, the APC, through its latest press release, thinks it is wrong timing to defeat the insurgent. By this uniquely opposition reasoning, if the insurgents were not conquered four years ago when this president was sworn in, then it should not be defeated during the president’s term in office. The opposition in the same press statement complained about the thousands of lives that had been lost to the insurgency, but would rather the killings should carry on for a few more weeks (or months). For them, a few thousand more deaths would not really matter that much, as long as it improves their electoral chances. In the course of their tirade, the APC did not only ask the questions, they provided their own answers to their own questions. They wondered why Boko Haram was allowed to fester for 6 years (they conveniently forgot that this thing started 13 years ago), and only being subdued now. They quickly supplied the answer in the same paragraph. They claimed the president “deliberately allowed the Boko Haram crisis to fester because he and his team saw it as their trump card for winning reelection in 2015 by currying global and sectarian sympathy… blah blah blah”. It went so aimlessly on and on that a claim that started out without any shred of veracity could not even muster a semblance of logical validity. The entire delivery was so incoherent that one is no longer sure of the opposition’s definite assessment of the president’s stewardship. All the while they had accused the president of incapacity. In this latest theory, the rap sheet seemed to have been amended from ‘incompetence’ to “political-strategy-gone-awry”. Really strange contraption! Even die-hard opposition supporters would have a hard time assimilating this one. And as if this is not enough complication, another one was thrown into the mix – ‘error of judgment’. So eventually, the APC appear to be unsure of what to accuse the president of: Incompetence? Error of judgment? Deliberate political strategy? They were so confused, they forgot their own story that they have told almost consistently since they became a political organization. The same military they disparaged and denigrated so relentlessly have now become “gallant Nigerian soldiers” engaged “in the battle to rid Nigeria of insurgency”. Obviously, they sense victory, and perhaps want to be prepared to claim part of it. After all they are even claiming the intellectual property rights for the formation of the multinational action against Boko Haram. They think the government should have “rallied regional troops” when the APC purportedly demanded that the government should do “to combat the terrorists”. In their typical opposition reasoning, they imagine Nigeria as the regional taskmaster ever able to deploy the military of other countries in the region at short notice to fight the insurgency. Like the opposition party without practical experience in statecraft, they cannot possibly know that sovereign nations are accountable domestically to their own citizens and to global governance institutions like (in this case) the AU and the UN. Now, for not doing it according to the opposition timetable, they demand that the president “immediately back down from seeking reelection”. Of course this was the ultimate clincher! It was the answer from which the opposition formulated their convoluted thesis and flawed hypotheses. Now the same opposition, which had very recently claimed that the president is afraid of a contest suddenly no longer wants to face the president in a free, fair and contested elections. If the opposition believes that there is any substance to the allegations they just made, why then would they not trust the electorate to determine the fate of the president at the ballot? In all honestly, it is easy to see the source of the confusion in the camp of the opposition. For a long time, the insurgency has provided ready material for the APC to make claims that are not tenable and election promises they cannot fulfil. Suddenly, the imminent defeat of the insurgents effectively threatens their only source of political blackmail. So where Nigerians see victory and react spontaneously with a sigh of relief, the opposition sees “electoral fortunes” and responds with panic and poorly choreographed media strategy. It is easy to see where the panic is coming from. A decisive military victory is bad for their strategy because they must sustain the narrative of government incapacity and state failure in order to be able to acquire political power. Too bad for them that we are about to see the back of the insurgents. |
Ekiti state governor, claimed that the alleged secrecy shrouding the visit had shown that the APC leaders, were covering up his true health status for their selfish gains. He said “The truth is that he travelled out to seek medicare in USA (passing through UK). If the APC people are saying otherwise let them publish the picture of him boarding the plane and granting interview to Aviation Correspondents at the Abuja Airport.” He added, “These APC political merchants should say the truth and save Nigeria from the possibility of another bad experience. They should tell Nigerians that he is actually sick and lack capacity to rule Nigeria and that they are only packaging him, hoping that he will become incapacitated if he becomes president so that they can take over power by proxy.” #GMBISSICK

I believe it is difficult to ignore the fact that the health status of anyone who is to rule the country is of critically important to every Nigerian who will vote in the upcoming elections given the critical state of the country. We therefore need more than statements to believe that the APC presidential candidate is fully healed and fit. We also believe it is necessary for him to show us medical report from a respectable hospital that he is not suffering from any deadly sickness that may lead to another casualty if he assume office. We want a healthy and strong man that can lead and carry his duties.

This is so funny, an unknown named Pastor, coming on the media 2 say rubbish, surely this is a story that has been masterminded by Ameachi and the APC 2 confuse Nigerians and damage the integrity of CAN. However, as learned beings we need 2 note that when an article is posted, its originality and authenticity should be verified first before we draw into conclusions. Atleast a name 2 show or identification could have justified the story. I feel all said in that piece are allegations fabricated against GEJ and his transformative agenda. Long live GEJ, #Amechifails...#APCFAILS....#GEJRULES2015 |
