Not only do they run to Lagos and Abuja, they even run to Asaba, crossing the River Niger from Onitsha into Asaba in Delta State to build their 'mansions'.........their towns always seem too HOT for them to live in. Yet they open their mouths in utter disrespect to their hosts! On a more serious note, Like Chimamanda said, I think Ibos need to come together, have a general meeting, not to show off wealth, but to have a serious rethink (not of seceding) of how they can live soberly, and be trusted by other tribes....and how they can tell (no, enforce) their youth to avoid crime: baby fact*ry, dr*g smuggli*g, otokoto, etc.  WHY AVOID YOUR HOMETOWNS? 10 Likes

Quickly followed by the football gold, led by king Kanu, Dosu, Oliseh, Amuneke, Amokachi, Celestine TJ Babangida, Uche, Ikpeba, and the rest... Nineties also saw emergence of boxers who did brightly perform too, Duncan Dokiwari readily comes to mind. What a glorious era. Yes, sports seemed to thrive tremendously within the Abacha regime, however NADECO and human rights activist greatly suffered in the same period! Imagine jailing a former President/Head of State(OBJ), and killing his former Vice(Shehu Yaradua). Imprisoning MKO who was supposed to be president in his stead, importing toxic & foul-smelling Sierra Leoneian fuel from his refinery in Sierra-Leone. President Tinubu seems to be striving to better the country, visiting and calling for investments far and wide....Reminds me of our former President, Chief Obasanjo, who 'junketed' and stayed out of Nigeria, according to late Gani Fawehinmi, for a total period of one year out of the four years in his first term. However Prez Bola Tinubu, with his humble demeanour, looks much more serious in securing FDI and building relationships with nations that matter worldwide.
