Very good car, I would recommend it to a first timer. Just pay attention to the warnings on the dash and no short cuts to fixes, use quality oils and don't let any rewire cut wires and use a wire in place of a fuse, you will enjoy the car.

Nigeria will start moving forward when political office holders have no immunity, they have to be held responsible for any action or inaction during Thier tenure, and it should not be a one-way thing of sure complete tenure, they can be impeached any time they don't perform or any form of illegality is observed.
Minimum wage alone will not resolve the mess we have got ourselves into in this country.

Very wrong, both I6 and V6 are both six cylinders, the difference in fuel economy comes from the engine displacement and forced induction.
There are some I4 with bigger displacements than some V6 engines.

@jp, you seem to be confusing some terms.

the V6 delivers 27mpg (miles per gallon), and the 4 cylinder delivers 30mpg which means that the 4 cyl will take you longer distance than the V6 with the same quantity of fuel. You were interpreting it as if those were consumptions. There is no way 194hp would consume less than a 136hp (excluding load factors).

I am not an auto expert but I am sure of the above.

look @ it this way (Though mathematically speaking);

4 is 66% of 6, if you agree, then you expect a six to cover just 33% of what the four will cover (in direct terms) but from what you saw above, 27 is 87%  of 30,

so it is far more economical in direct terms
if you are still confused, a mercedes 300e straight six cylinders consumes double of what a v6 of the same product will consume if you compare both in tandem.

so in practical terms, you cannot just begin to compare a four and a six cylinders of course 194hp consumes more dan a 136hp no doubt but with the V technology, the diff is negligible.

so 6v is mathching with a straight 4, thats' where the economy lies.

AMG is performance oritented? I dont get but I understand the others. I think it's just the paddings and kit that makes it AMG but same engine and tyres with sport editions.

Not only d padding the engines in AMGs are much more powerful e.g d most powerful normal c-class 00-04 is the c320 with a 3.2ltr V6 with 210hp, while d C32 AMG is d same engine with a Kompressor producing around 345hp with sport styling, suspension n brakes

Okay let's say its not an added advantage to any car. The fact that these features make cars chop fuel (if I'm not wrong) is enough reason for a buyer not to be interested. So I guess since you say it's not an AMG I'd just increase the price. AMG, Sport, Kompressor. They're all siblings with same surname.. speed. It doesn't make much difference to me. I'd appreciate if our Benz lecturers can tell the differences for our knowledge helpful in future use cos I feel they're all the same.

The AMG is d performance oriented version of any Mercedes Benz class, the SPORT is telling that it's being tuned to behave like sports car (lower ride, sports suspension,brakes, steering n tires to name a few) and the KOMPRESSOR is d German term for Compressor which is a forced induction technology for boosting combustion which translates to more engine power. E.g. like the c230 kompressor in question is a 1.8ltrs engine producing around 198hp which is about same hp with some V6 engines hence u have d power n torque of a 3.0 V6 from a 1.8 I4 banger (fuel economy- don't 4get 145/ltr) Hope this explanation helps.

AMG cars - which are a special series of Sporty version of classic cars made by Mercedes - have one thing in common; their model numbers are double digits as opposed to their regular models which are usually Tripple digits. This is the standard format of issuing model numbers that Mercedes Benz uses to distinguish AMG cars from regular cars.

For example, an AMG version of a G wagon Mercedes Benz would be the G86 or G63. It would sound dumb to a Mercedes Benz fan to bring a G wagon labeled AMG and the model is G550 and you say it's an AMG model??

It's either the model number or year is wrong or the Metal badge displaying the model number at the rear end of the car is wrong.

Thats why King406 can boldly tell you without even inspecting the car that Your car isn't an AMG model. AMG C65 or C55 from Mercedes sounds more like it and not C230 AMG.

The steering wheel and even the dashboard suggests to me - depending on where the car was made - that attempts were made to p!mp the car.

It has the dashboard of a regular 05/06 C class but the steering wheel of a C class coupe - I stand to be corrected on this - but yet you called it an 05!! Quite interesting.........

Once again, as for the C230 AMG; that is wrong labelling.

Right abt d AMG coding system. The only thing pimped on that car is the AMG badge n dat might not be the seller's fault, probably shipped it in like dat n the engine is 1.8ltr with a sport steering

The car is a 2005 c230 kompressor sport sedan with the AMG body kit borrowed from the C32 AMG. Very reliable car n fun to drive, will outrun most V6 cars

The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has ordered the sacking of six officials of the state Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, including a secondary school teacher, over alleged offensive examination question.

Those sacked include two Grade Level 17 officers, Mrs. Folashade Oresegun, who was the Director, Education Support Services, and Mr. Rotimi Odunsi, who was the Director, Curriculum Development and Evaluation, and a Grade Level 16 officer, Mr. Majekodunmi Oluwole.

Others are a Grade Level 10 officer, Mr. E.O. Asegbe, a Grade Level 8 officer, Taylor Damilola , and an English Language teacher in Mayflower Secondary School, Ikenne, Mr. Joel Adegbenro.

The sacking of both Oresegun and Odunsi has been converted to compulsory retirement while the four others were summarily dismissed.

Our correspondent gathered that their offence might not be unconnected with a comprehension passage in the English Language examination conducted by the ministry for the Unified Examination in Public Secondary Schools for the third term of the 2014/2015 academic session.

The offensive section was Section C, where the pupils were asked to summarise a comprehension passage on a policy defect on education.

It was alleged that it was considered too critical of the state government.

The section partly read, “There is no arguing about the fact that the government is merely paying lip service to the development of education. It is true that a lot of money is being spent on the education sector but with little or no impact felt by the people, except where we want to deceive ourselves.

“Many schools run by the government, which were formerly known for academic excellence have suddenly lost their prestige and are living on past glories. No wonder, many parents and guardians are threateningly left with only one option, to withdraw their wards from these schools to other ones that are better managed.

“The evidences to show that the government is not doing enough to assist in the development of education are many. Even pupils in both primary and secondary schools can volunteer a good list on their finger tips.

“One of the numerous indications is the government’s inability to pay running cost to schools. The running cost is the token amount per pupil paid to school administrators to run the affairs of the school in a term. This has been neglected to pile up for several academic sessions.

“Another one is the regular poor conduct of terminal examinations. These examinations are not usually conducted as and when due. The government may have one excuse or the other, but real educationists know that appropriate timing is a strong factor in the process of Continuous Assessment (CA) of students. Thus, a situation, where for instance, the first term examination is shifted to second term is an outright departure from the norms and ethics of Continuous Assessment.”

The summary passage was said to have been culled from Jola Adegbenro’s Issues on Education Today.

The governor and some other top government officials were allegedly angry with this section, which they believed made a veiled reference to what obtained in the state.

Consequently, the embattled officials were invited to Abeokuta last week to face a disciplinary panel set up by the state Bureau of Establishment and Training, where they were quizzed.

The state’s Head of Service, Mrs. Modupe Adekunle, while reacting to the sacking, said the government followed the due process “because the affected officials were given opportunity to defend themselves.”

She said, “I am aware that not all of them were dismissed, some had their appointment terminated and some were compulsorily retired.

“When the issue came up, the state government put in the necessary process, a panel was set up to investigate and based on their recommendations, the state Civil Service Commission has to decide. It is a decision that has been relayed to the affected officers.

“The normal process was that a panel was set up, the report was forwarded to the Civil Service Commission for the civil servants, the Teaching Service Commission, for the teachers.

“The decision was in line with the civil service rule, due process was followed to the latter"
