Selling to Dangote below market rate means we are subsidizing the product. We all agreed that subsidy has a crippling effect on the economy. Nigeria simply cannot afford to be borrowing to support fuel consumption for 220 million people.

It is not so much about the price, it is the purchasing power. How many people can afford the N1,080 then?

Do you know that oil extraction is a business by private companies in Nigeria? They price the crude based on cost and going market rates. Oil business is not charity . Buying in Naira does not mean you will not buy the naira equivalent. The price keeps fluctuating. Never static and that is what you see all over the world. You need to get out of the mindset of govt fixing prices of petrol, dollar rate etc.

No one wants to step down for the other. Therefore, they are tearing each other apart. The same thing played out in 2023 elections. If you add Obi and Atikus vote, the election could have been over by 4 pm on election day and in their favor. That was an opportunity they frittered away. An opportunity that may never comes their way again. These are facts and not sentiments or emotion.
