Who told they gave us free of chargehuh? We paid for the upgrade and refurbishing cool cool
aresa:
What about the weapons and war ships they gave you free of charge? The best warships you have today was given to you by the US free of charge.

And the fact that your worthless and incompetent government is not countering BH the way they should for whatever reasons known to them doesn't mean the US didn't give them intel to work with.

Hmnnnnnnn cable car comes to my mind grin grin grin grin

The governor stated that the light rail project would be commissioned before the end of next year as it was estimated that 1.6 million Lagosians would be transported daily, which translates to 19.2 million passengers annually.
“By the end of 2014, The Blue Line should transport Lagosians from Mile 2 to Marina, a journey of about 13.5 kilometres, in the shortest possible time. We are also proud to say that the cable car; a veritable means of fast and unhindered transportation, is on the verge of completion.
“To grow the economy of our dear city of Lagos into one of the model Mega Cities in Africa, embracing the best practices in the transportation/urban mobility cannot be overlooked. Lagosians must accept this concept of transportation as safer and more economical. We must recognise that individual transportation translates to more vehicles on the roads, which translate to an unhealthy volume of carbon emission

ROSSIKE:
I'm actually surprised that not even the 1st phase of the Lagos rail has started to function after so many years of construction... it does make you wonder..... Maybe Tinubu's demands for 'his cut' are stalling the project, who knows? Well, hopefully sha, it will come on stream soon.

in the age of Google cant even do your homework before making a comment ...shame embarassed embarassed yes the federal gov rehabilitated The colonial narrow gauge Line which all Gov failed to do since "1800". They laid additional Equally, new railway lines are being constructed in standard gauge (1435mm). These include: Ajaokuta - Warri line of 277km; Kaduna - Abuja (Idu) line of 186 km . a loan of 242 m dollar million dollar was approved for the 39 km project. After 7 year if all we are seeing are pillars, we must talk.....we are all stakeholders.
Yes the allocation formular is 48% and 52%(fed gov), that is why we should hold all tier of the gov reponsible....chikena cool cool
Ovamboland:
Shame on you for comparing the FG with 52% national income with one state sharing the remaining 48% with 35 other states and 774 LGs.

The tracks on which the so called transformation took place was built in late 1800's by Britain and is still essentially same since then, narrow gauge.

Lagos is building brand new elevated tracks and is under construction and visible and it will be first rail to link the island and mainland.

"The Light Rail project has however been a very long journey for the state’s transportation sector. First conceived in 1980s by the Lagos Governor Alhaji Lateef Jakande during the Nigerian Second Republic, the project was scrapped in 1985 by the Military junta of Muhammadu Buhari at a loss of over $78 million to the Lagos tax payers.

The idea was again revived by former Governor Bola Tinubu in the early 2000s with a formal announcement of its construction in December 2003. This initial $135 million proposal was part of the greater Lagos Urban Transportation Project to be implemented by the newly formed Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA). LAMATA initially concentrated on developing a Bus Rapid Transit system (BRT) before embarking on focused initially on the Blue Line and the Red Line "

Groundbreaking grin grin i laugh in Egun The project wa supposed to be completed september 2014 ...arithmetic ko add math ni...u better get a life and stop displaying your babaeko ignorance grin grin

aresa:
Another useless ignorant illiterate. Ground breaking was 2012 so go back to elementary school and work on your arithmetic..

Funny enough for you sad and unfortunate losers, you are losing sleep and crying over a project that started barely 3 years ago, but not the fact that the road was a FG road that was neglected for 30 years....

30 Years of neglect and abdication of responsibility must be an achievement over 3 years worth of construction and largest public works project in your country...

Everytime you people come up with your moronic and idiotic ignorant rubbish, you end up ridiculing your worthless FG ...
Politics › Re: Is This What Transformation Looks Like? (pics) by deji68:
Oraisa or aressa abi wetin be ur name huh grin grin....I think oraisa suits you better, so we are not entitled to our own opinion, let me take you up on some of you points..
1 We are on the same page on this, what federal gov do should not affect the state gov or vise versa...That is why we hold all tiers of the Gov responsible for their actions or inactions. even Fashola

2 on your "Tinubu start am i noo fit finish am" metro project. almost 10 year Lagos state cannot finish a 39 Km Metro project, haba!!! shame eg Abuja standard guage construction started in 2011, 130km has been completed..Thousand Kilometers of Tracks have been completed or rehabilitated, within 4 years .All u see is an ancient locomotive..mischief abi huh

3 Building 10 lane roads and overhead bridges, does not mean, we should have dilapidated schools and inner city roads.."gutter passing through the sitting room" suburbs in many Local gov in Lagos...Your IGR is second to none in Naija...where the money dey go huh If you invoke the FOI they will say lagos is not bounded by the law.....wetin una dey hide huh huh
I leave you to your delusion calling other people unintelligent doesnt make u " intelligent " only show how hollow u are...agba ofifo....empty barrel grin grin grin

aresa:
1. You mean Lagos state government's activities determines what your federal government do with Nigeria's oil wealth?

2. You mean your federal government invested billions in ancient locomotives in 2014 because Lagos state is yet to finish their metro rail project?

3. What's similar about both projects?

Is your federal government building a 10 lane freeway too?

Is your federal government building multiple brick and mortar stations too?

Is your federal government building multiple overhead bridges too?

Is your federal government building metro rail and rail bridge over the marina

Lagos Metro rail is the largest public works project in Africa as we speak, it's the kind of project sovereign nations engage in and also what your federal government can not even dare to perform.

The same road was your FG responsibility which as usual they neglected for decades so what's sweeting your unintelligent brain? Your FG failure that Lagos state is correcting?

I know many of you are ignorant and unintelligent, but Please stop displaying this rubbish openly. You even make your FG look bad and grossly incompetent...

Ok let me put it another way, the Law is greater than or egos and emotions. Tambuwal a former member and speaker of the house should know better...my question is it right for a members of the house to encourage the public to break the law or prevent the police from doing their Job

OYINBOGOJU:
Next time seperate your questions for clearity sake.

Some of the things you wrote there are not coherent at all.

Maybe you should re-phrase your questions for understanding sake.

Point of correction, bros, if our lawmakers don't respect the ruling party LAWS....... Am not on anyone side but definitely this blockage of entrance comes from no one but the Presidency.
How painful and shameful that's am from this part of the Africa continent that is blessed as well as it is cursed with BAD LEADERS, nepotism and u name it. Shame on PDP for not obeying the COURT and AS WELL AS APC for doing this as well. I won't blame the police because they are act no better than a Mad Dogs who only knows nothing but to obey their pay masters without doing feeling remorse. We tought Men IN Blavk will acted better if there uniform is change but it's getting worser than we can imagine even there there top uniform has been change to BLUE which depict love itself as a colour. Ok oo if he thinks the judiciary can not be trusted then why are they collecting million of naira making laws huh huh didnt the court say they should maintain the status quohuh...why did he withdraw the case huh, at least the court would have protected his right....but i think he knows he is fighting a lost battle...brinkmanship and thuggery will not help his cause..... undecided undecided
OYINBOGOJU:
The presidency control the judiciary thus the Judiciary that is suppose to protect and uphold the law for her citizen can never be trusted.

It has be proven over and over again.

If you are not for the president then you are guilty.

Simple

I can give you obvious examples to back up my claim. a vivid example is FFK, Madam Stella, The Honourable Petroleum Minister, Farouk …. If you want to win them don`t ever challenge them at the court of law.

Because they are what hold our Presidency piller.
