Lambert W functions can be applied too but it requires great care and you didnt apply it correctly. This even shows in he fact that you dont know your answers.
have you announced/contacted the winners??

this is not practically correct

answer is zero.. It is a logical question.. You don't even need a pen

The rope is just folded straight into two (80m ÷2 = 40 m length).. When hanged on the pole of 50m high, you will be left with the 10m distance between the ground and the rope

Even if you want to call it, it is 2 raised to power 2 raise to power 3. You follow that order

Mrshape:

No I don't
Let a=2 b=2 c=3
2^2^3 is not equal to 2^(2×,3)
2^8 not 2^6
You see?

It's still valid sir..
2^2^3 is 4^3 which is 64

This is the same as 2^(2×3) which is 2^6 which is 64

You start power right from the base number upward

OK but the answers are two and 0. Something
yea.. I got only 2 though
Nairaland / General / Re: Help!!! I'm Not A Muslim by dejt4u(m): 11:46am On Apr 17, 2020
Mrshape:

Off course 2 is one of the answers but it has only one method to solve it it is called Lambert W.
If that is not what you use to prove it,
Unless the op is not well grounded in maths,
I doubt you will get it
I didn't use Lambert method and I got it

Good morning all,
I have seen people mention on this thread repeatedly that the questions are wrong.None of the questions are wrong and both are actually easy to solve for those who paid attention to their maths teachers either from senior secondary school or the first two years of the university. I actually want people to win the monies as I have mathematics questions that I would post here and put a million naira on each and that nobody will be able to solve even if you engage the services of a university professor anywhere in the world.
interesting.. Put it on please

Please explain your equation.

I’ll congratulate those that will get this right via messenger. If you don’t see it in your messenger box, keep guessing. However, give the whole details on your answer.
option C. Just the $100 initially stolen.. Every other things are normal transactions completed and nothing is lost in the transaction

Hi everyone, I'm back again to this forum. Sorry, I'm just seeing this now.
Lalasticlala, any prize for it?
Let's start by simplifying
s = [n(2a+(n-1)d]/2
Expand the bracket => s = (2an+dn²—d)/2
Noticed, we have exponent of "n", hence we use Calculus/Differentiation. We use the "Quotient Rule" => ds/dn = [vdu/dn - udv/dn]/V² .
where ds/dn means differentiate "s" under "n".
"u" is the numerator, while "v" is the denominator.
ds/dn = [vdu/dn - udv/dn]/v², solving

ds/dn = [2(2a+2dn-d) - (2an+dn²—d)0]/2²
=> ds/dn = 2(2a+2dn—d)/4
simplifying, we have: s = 2a+2dn—d/2
Then, making "n" subject: 2s = 2a+2dn—d
=> 2dn = 2s—2a+d
Therefore,
n = (2s—2a+d)/2d.

cc: Look at the right answer and how I solved it. Prove me wrong, mrshape dejt4u matex97 pyrex23 stennyb, co...

Should I set the question
Or you two bring your individual questions?
both.. Let's bring one question each (making 2).. Then you set one question us (making three all together)

The three questions should be dropped at once and you us 45minutes maximum (or as you deem fit) to bring our solution

Nice one

I must commend, your brain is too quick....... But truth be told if you actually solved what the op sent as screenshot then you failed it

So it's either the op question wasn't properly written..... On that initial n there was a bracket which was not enclosed

So how you got to your derivation I don't/can't still understand
lol.. It's still the same thing.. Come on
