I wanted to ask how you later solved the issue of not adding sibling to your EE profile….
Did you later add an LOE to your application explaining why you wrote NO in the EE application
Or what did you do ??

I give God Almighty all the glory for enabling my family of 5 to receive our PR Cards 2 days ago.

I also wish to appreciate the promoters of Nairaland and the guys here who answer questions without being paid. Nairaland has been part of my journey in the last 15 years.

These are my timelines:

Wife's Canadian MSc - Nov 2023.
Wife's Application for PGWP - Nov 2023.
My Application for Extn of SOWP - Nov 2023.
Children's Applications for Extn of Study Permits - Nov 2023.
Wife's IELTS - Jan 2024.
Approvals for PGWP, Extn of SOWP & Study Permits - Feb 2024.
EE Profile opened - Feb 2024.
Wife's Application for BC PNP (International Postgraduate Scheme) - Feb 2024.
BC PNP Approval (600 CRS added automatically to EE Profile) - April 2024.
ITA (A day after PNP Approval) - April 2024.
EE Application & AOR - May 2024.
BIL - June 2024.
No Medical Request (Our medicals for previous applications were used).
GCMS Notes Request (Because we felt the application time was taking unusually long) - Aug 2024.
PR Approvals - Aug 2024.
IRCC Portal 1 Email - Aug 2024.
IRCC Portal 2 Email - Sept 2024.
ECoPR - Sept 2024.
PR Cards Received - Oct 2024.

Hey,

You can claim points off a sibling as soon as they finish their landing formalities and COPR is stamped(I.e same day they landed). By the time you get ITA they would have proof of residence(Utility bill/PR Card).

Your 2nd question is tricky, because it means you will have to select NO to the question “do you have a sibling who is a Canada Citizen or PR”. & selecting NO will be misrepresentation/falsifying the truth. Besides when you get ITA and start filling your profile you’ll have to fill the said PR siblings and country of residence(Canada). May be best to be truthful all the way IMO.
Perhaps others who did it can contribute.

I'm guessing what you mean by NOI targeting is that PNPs sometimes have a range (330 to 430 for example) and you won't get picked when your CRS is above that range even if the "draw" is for your NOC.

This is just a personal opinion: if you do decide not to claim sibling points, I think you can indicate "NO" to that question, meaning no 15 CRS points extra. When you submit your application you would add an LOE to explain that you do have a sibling but do not want to claim points from them....this way you are not hiding your sibling, just stating that you don't need their CRS advantage. Note that under the family section of your application you must still indicate your parents and all your siblings (their dates of birth, current location/address etc.) - so it'll be abundantly clear that you're not trying to hide your sibling who's in Canada.

when submitting your application, choose, YES I have a sibling and add information about your sibling.
Write an LOE that you don't wish to claim points for siblings. In the same page, I also made a simple calculation, that I scored, for example 450 points, but minus 15 points because I don't wish to claim sibling points, my score is 435. And the cut off for the round is 434.
Then I made this LOE as PDF and uploaded it to where the sibling documents were to be attached. It was accepted and we faced no problems."

Hello please I have a question, if one has a sibling who entered the country like two months ago on a PR visa
Can I claim the person even though they’ve only spent 2months
Then
What if you don’t want to claim the person because it might be detrimental to the CRS points range you’re targeting (I.e a specific NOI from a province) will you be penalized for not claiming your sibling
Will it affect my application??
