Not that I have anything against Palestinian independence but you need to refrain from misinforming the public. How can US and Israel support Palestinian statehood?
barack obama has always advocated a 2 state solution.hilary clinton has made it one of her major campaign issue the actualization of thw state of palestine.clinton supported a 2 state solution and even tried to get barak to sign an agreement with arafat and al assad at shepherdstown in 1999.he went as far as advocating a 2 state solution after rabin was murdered.almost every american president since carter has insisted on a return to the 1967 borders.

The problem is isreal despite agreeing to a 2 state solution hasnt agreed to a return to pre-1967 border.it insists the lands belong to it.now they have a netanyahu who isnt even ready to negotiate on the parameters for peace.

Religion / Re: Why Was The Book Of Enoch Removed From The Bible? by Delafruita(m): 9:03am On Dec 27, 2015
coollabman:

the book was never in the bible in the first place! church fathers as at that time gathered and examined several scriptures to determine if they were genuinely inspired by the holy spirit. Christianity just became state religion in Rome and there was need to streamline activities and stamp out paganism. many christian sects and scriptures were available then. some were overtly heretical (as in their message did not align with that of the church fathers) while some (like the book of Enoch) were somehow complicated. these books certainly contained biblical truth, but there were passages/chapters/verses in these books that were suspicious. hence these books were described as non-canonical and excluded from what eventually became the bible (as we see it today).
while I agree that the book of Enoch was never part of the Bible,i disagree it was suspicious or noncanonical.we cannot talk about the formation of the bible without making reference to constantine who brought the various sects of Christianity together at the 325AD council in Nicea and paid them to comeup with a unifying mode of worship and book.we can't discountenance the facT that the roman cathoic church was the only church in existence and they only accepted books that suited their teachings while constantine only endorsed books that agreed with paul because of his hatred for followers of Aria

explorer250:

all the state you mentioned was not carved into other regions they are still part of south west.
Can you imagine a scenario were the coastal parts of lagos, ogun and ondo is carved into south south and are made to deny yoruba. These states i mentioned above are the engine room of south west economy and if these states are alienated to yoruba dont you think that would be another landlocked and economically unviable sokoto?

Like i said earlier, after the war, igboland was designed to be economically unviable. All the coastal areas of igbo land was ceded to the minorities, i am sure you have heard that igboland is landlocked?
That is a psychological warfare waged against igbos.

If you check well you will observe that aba is the nearest city to porthacourt. In a sane and equal country aba should be in thesame state with ph so that the port will feed the industrial/commercial city of aba.

I am from oyigbo in rivers state. In 1976 we were carved out of the present abia state and included into rivers state because we have oil in quantom. We were forced to answer oyigbo against the original obigbo just to de-igbonise us just as the did to ikwerres. The FGN carved out the whole oil producing parts of igboland into rivers, bayelsa, delta and akwa ibom just to weaken igbos. Do you know that if igboland is one we would have been the ethnic group that produces the largest amount of oil in nigeria?

What of the 20 pounds policy? The indigenisation policy? The FGN siting and allocation of industries? Less number of states to undermine us politically? What OBASANJO did to orji uzor kalu slok group and how he fustrated ibeto(whom would have been the richest man in africa) to his early death? What of resource control?

The list is endless bro, nigeria neesd to be restructured fast before it becomes too late. So dont blame igbos for what they are doing
the igbos at a certain time decided to secede and attempted to take the lifeblood of Nigeria with them and so you expect that after their attempt failed, the Nigerian nation will myopically leave itself porous?states are federating units of the country as enshrined in the constitution and can be divided in anyway it is deemed fit.

Orji kalu issue with obasanjo was political and nothing else.kalu was backing atiku to run against obasanjo in 2003 and was himself considering running in 2007 and at a point even accused obasanjo and anenih of sending assasins after him.so to give that episode a tribal coloration will be dishonest.

cletus ibeto is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the obasanjo regime because obasanjo tried to use him tobreak dangote's cement monopoly.his problems started when dangote instituted a court case against him over a wide range of issues during the yar'adua regime.however, the issues were about his cement lime and had no effect on any of his other businesses.that was a squabble between 2 businessmen and shouldn't be given tribal coloration.dangote at a time had issues with Femi otedola and even succeeded in wrecking the share value of AP as it was then known.but they resolved their issues like businessmen just like dangote and ibeto resolved their issues

I personally don't like the 20pound policy but there was no other way.the igbos had changed their currency during the war and forfeited all their ions outside igboland.or were you assuming biafra will succeed and igbos will return to nigeria to still retain their money, businesses and properties like nothing happened?the biafra war effort failed after more than 3years during which the central government expended a lot of its finances.it was in the spirit of reconciliation that it was decided that every igbo person be given 20pounds irrespective of whether they had more or less in the bank.lets also not forget that ojukwu took back all his father's properties.so if anyone lost out,its those who followed him blindly into war

this is tales by moonlight! you are talking about innoson because he survived the cruel policies by obj, The ibeto cement and other related issues! the evil policies meted on them are the reason for agitation!

Igbos are asking for equity, justice and level playing ground! igbos see everything as competition, so that kind of environment can never be got from nigeria!
so bro save your hullabaloo for what we are passing through as a people is bigger than these fairytale!
we also vehemently believe that we will perform creditably well if we are on our own!! that's what you are not getting! get it into your brain!!!

is it only igbo businessmen that suffered such fate under obasanjo?it wasn't about their tribe,it was about obasanjo's style of politics.

The zoo must fall
the reality is the southsouth states will remain a part of nigeria even if the Igbos secede.biafra was never a country so the supposed boundaries of 1967 have no bearing on current realities.but if there is one thing I am sure of,its that the Igbos will never succeed in a referendum even though I sincerely hope they succeed.i am one of those who doesn't believe in generalisation but with the igbos,it seems there is a common denominator found in them.pride, arrogance and an absolute lack of decorum and respect for others.they like to play the victim card and have an inordinate ambition to lord it over everyone.its true the igbos are astute commercially and whether we like it or not, they are not just industrious but have a communal way of dragging those at the lower rung of society to success.only an igbo man will bring ten boys from the village who are not related to him by blood to the city to come learn trade from him and then after some years,he sets them up in their own trade.that is why the igbos don't have super billionaires but they have lots of millionaires young and old.
Will Nigeria quake without the igbos, definitely. But Nigeria will not collapse and the igbos that are outside igboland will rather remain where they are and continue to do their businesses.

Over the years I have had over 30 tenants come and go with almost all ofthem been igbo and currently I have nine igbo tenants so I know quite a bit of what I am talking about.almost all my neighbours are igbo,my representative at the house of assembly in lagos state is igbo just as a majority of myclients and friends are igbo.from my interaction with all this people and most of my customers in alaba international market and trade fair market,Biafra nation isn't for them.its for those who don't understand the implications to the average igbo man ekeing out a living in a dysfunctional nigeria.the circumstances affecting the igbo man affects every other person innigeria but IPOB people act like it's just them that are affected

Nonsense. The only thing I condemn is the violence and protest that has been attributed to IPOB. A group of people can decide if they want to be together in a country or not. If Britain agreed for Scotland to have a referendum on independence why should it be denied people in the south east if that's what they want. Give them referendum and if they vote to go it's goodbye Nigeria. I grew up in the North and I saw the hatred Hausas have for Igbos coming on nairaland showed how much hatred some yourubas have for Igbos. If this much hatred exists then it's folly to want to share a country.
I can understand a Ghanian's hatred for a Nigerian, at least they don't share a country but hating on a fellow Nigerian because of tribe is confounding.
you people always quoting the Scottish referendum don't even understand how the united kingdom works.the Scots even though part of the united kingdom have their own seperate devolved government from that of England just like Wales and Northern ireland.scotland has always had its own unicameral legislature which makes most of its laws without any input from westminster.scotland has always elected a first minister who oversees the running of the country assisted by cabinet secretaries and ministers.Alex Salmond promised more jobs, better healthcare etc if Scots voted Yes for independence but a majority of Scots just couldn't see that to be true since the scottich government always has a wide range of powers to get those things done.just like the southeast states already have governors.

But if you are dead serious contact me and I will introduce you to a seasoned aviation consultant who has over 25 yrs working in Nigeria.

Jets are very cheap now especially in Europe owing to the recession.

jets are "very" cheap due to "recession"?do you know how many variations of airplanes are classified as jets?perhaps the A380 is also "very" cheap.

Also stated in an earlier post, that given the VIP nature of the primary occupant, the NGR001 will have a larger fuel capacity and range than your commercial varriant and will utilize more powerful engine .

All this will make hourly flight cost more expensive than aero.

are you for real?it will have a larger fuel capacity meaning it can stay longer in the air without needing to refuel.does that mean it will consume more fuel?thats just like saying my ford escape with fuel capacity of 80litres will consume more fuel with an escape of same model with tank capacity of 70litres.the only difference will be the rate at which we will need to refuel not the rate at which the engine consumes fuel.this shouldn't require an explanation.the eagle one can stay in the air for 12 hours without needing to refuel because the tank capacity was constructed to that capacity during customisation bearing in mind it's a diplomatic craft.its simple as that.

It doesn't require a more powerful engine besides I don't even understand what you mean by more powerful engine.a Boeing 737-BBJ is same in nigeria as in Egypt and same in the maldives or portugal.
