Morning Affirmations

I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I have godly characters in me.
I command respect.
I behave wisely.

My thoughts are refined.
I don't think like every Dick and Harry.
My reasonings are kingly.
I make decisions that affect nations.

My future is secured.
I don't flinch on the negativity around me.
I will study the finest courses.
It is going to refine the gold in me for value

My friends are patiently selected.
Selected on the basis of purpose and mutual
development.
I am accountable to my friends.
We are birds of same feather flocking together on the
ladder of excellence.

My marriage is beautiful.
I have a supportive spouse
Our purpose are aligned. Our conflicts immediately
settled.
Our cultural background differs; selflessness brings us
to the middle swiftly.
We don't blink at challenges. We face them together in
the strength of unity.

I am who I am. I am made of more

The First Born Cry.

I am the strength of my father.
The first-fruit of my mother.
A function of my parent's experimental training.
From cradle till date, every form of grooming on me is a function of advise from outsiders not yet tested by my parents.
I am like a lab-rat, what's significant on me is prescribed on the guys coming behind me.

At a tender age, I am expected to know "certain things".
At a tender age, I can't be pampered anymore because I have a younger one behind me.
At a tender age, I am being whipped for my little brother's error.
Then given the advise "Dont you know that you are the elderly one, you should be an example to the younger ones"
We did the same thing, yet I am scolded harder because I should know the right thing to do.
At a tender age, I am saddled with parental responsibilities - "I am going out now, take care of your siblings".
At a tender age, I am given no room to make mistakes cos all my steps are analysed closely.
At a tender age, I am my brother's third parent.

I never sent in my application to be the first born child.
Like every other child, I came to the world with no knowledge of how the world runs.

I am not asking for lastborn treatment.
I am asking to be listened to.
I am asking for room to make and learn from my mistake.
I am asking to be guided not based on societal expectations but because you want me to be the best.
I am asking to be treated like a child, not like a parent.
