Edit: Update: Maiduguri is currently under partial attack!


We are receiving disturbing reports that Boko Haram armies are headed for Maiduguri, capital of Borno state.

A message from a security officer read “Salam.We just got a report that Book haram will strike Maiduguri tonight. Pls wake up n pray with ur family now. May Allah save us all.”

In the early hours of Saturday, Boko Haram terrorists erased Kambari village, killing 15 citizens and the village head.

Kambari village is just 5 kilometers from Maiduguri. The terrorists are believed to be possibly headed to the capital via this route after the many unsuccessful attempts via Konduga. The terrorists made several unsuccessful attempts on the capital which were thwarted in fierce combats by the Nigerian army and Civilian JTF at Konduga. In one such attack, a Boko Haram leader, “Shekau” double was killed by the Nigerian army.

Nigeria’s president just concluded a visit to Maiduguri in which he had hundreds of soldiers deployed for his protection. It is hoped that these soldiers are still in the capital and will be part of the defense against Boko Haram’s invasion.

Distressingly, Boko Haram burned down the Kambari village while hundreds of troops were stationed in the capital to secure the president of Nigeria’s re-election campaign barely 5 kilometers away.

The terrorists amassed serious weapons, armored tanks and personnel carriers and communications equipment in their successful raid on Bama barracks early January in an attack that saw them kill over 2500 defenseless civilians.

The terrorists have visibly been more aggressive ahead of the February elections. It is perceived that they are eager to make as much gains as they can before a change in administration to a General Buhari government that is expected to be intolerable of their carnage.

Our calls to corroborate this information rang out.

Why is President Jonathan so desperate to remain in power? I can understand Fani-Kayode's passion for twisting the truth, because Jonathan has promised him to thwart the case hanging on his neck, which Festus Keyamo has exposed. The truth is that Buhari was educated up to Secondary certificate level as required by the Constitution, and the Honorable Justice Umaru Abdullahi and Mr Coomassie (former IGP) have confirmed that. Why are some Nigerians still falling for PDP desperation and lies. It was this style of lying by PDP against Dr. Kayode Fayemi that made Ekiti to mistakenly vote for Ayo Fayose, who is so full of himself as to tender a sincere apology to Buhari and the families of the 2 former heads of state and the great president of Nigeria, Umaru Yar'dua, he insulted with his evil advertorial announcing the imminent death of Buhari, forgetting that life and death is in God's hand, and that he MAY even die before Buhari. Why has Fani-Kayode not responded to the credible testimonies of the two classmates of Buhari? Why can't PDP approach the court of law to nail Buhari once and for all, if they are sure of their allegation? Few days ago, Fani-Kayode said PDP would hand over Buhari to God if he refused to hand over himself to the police for immediate interrogation and subsequent prosecution in court for PERJURY. Now it is FORGERY again! Therefore, at least 2 count charges to nail Buhari are already on ground then! How come that Fani-Kayode and PDP have suddenly become believers in God's justice when they have been making use of Nigeria's courts of justice to resolve controversies in the past? IT'S SIMPLY BECAUSE HE AND PDP KNOW THEY ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR WAYS TO PULL BUHARI DOWN. NIGERIANS, PDP IS DESPERATE TO RETAIN POWER! 2. Is it normal for a recent passport to be used in place of an old passport on a result that was published before my dad wedded my mum?

3. Did INEC demand for statement of results or a certificate ?

4. Is it normal to publish one's result without the proper authorization and verification from the candidate ? Principal , Na only you waka come ?

5. Why should Buhari pass Igbo language more than Hausa ?

6. Why are they using Mohammed instead of muhammadu ?

7.. If his results were with the college all this while , why did he have to swear to an affidavit , claiming his results were with the military ?

And MR principal , why would you have to run to church when they threw you the most unnerving question ?

Why don't they just tell us the truth. They were concerned that the discrepancy between the surname "Mohammed" written on the statement of result and his real surname "Muhammadu" would raise dust concerning his identity thus they resorted to attaching his current pix on his result in their bid to deceive us. They fail to realise that one's statement of result mustn't have a pix attached, but if they must, then they have to attach the old pix.

The disadvantage of telling a lie is that you need to tell more lies to cover it. Buhari should do the needful and show his certificate.

After several request made by some Nigerians as regards the authenticity of Buhari's 1961 certificate and whether or not Hausa was a subject at that time, this website:

came up with a response and even posted a link to a pdf file on their website claiming to be an archive file stating that Hausa was a subject.

But interestingly, the stamp on that file dates 23 Jan 2015 while the 1961 - 1962 was hand written. It appears they are trying to protect Gen. Buhari...Nigerians are smart people, you cant fool us. I urge our historians to please come out and tell us if truly Hausa was indeed a subject in Nigerian Schools in 1961.

Some of us believe the future is beyond ethno religious connotations, albeit, we still respect the opinions of some citizens who are still embittered by the chronicles of past events in deference to our nation Nigeria.

The incumbent President has not been of any benefit to Christians, neither have the Niger Deltans benefitted from his ascendancy to the position of the Presidency. Likewise, Obasanjo was of no special good to the south west where he hails from during his time. Hence, this implies that the Presidency is not about where one is from or the person's religion but service to Nigeria as a whole.

Some of us have assessed this government and have concluded that it is a monumental failure despite their hogwash of being the unprecedented best since amalgamation. Most of the support for Buhari is primarily because people want sanity restored to governance and not because of his past deeds as a military leader. Everyone wants an end to the insurgency which the incumbent seems not to have a clue about. Everyone wants corruption to be abated so that more resources will be available for capital projects in contest to what is obtainable today where they allocate resources for themselves to eat fat and vote nominal allowances for infrastructure.

I think Buhari's steadfastness to maintain a scrupulous mien for 3 decades is the primary reason for the goodwill he enjoys today. I am not in total support of his candidacy primarily due to his age but I am seriously considering taking a risk on him than to cast my vote for GEJ. My last resort will be Professor Sonaiya.

To the topic, I reiterate my commendation for the author of this topic who has deemed it fit to forgive on the premise of his understanding of the way forward for a better Nigeria!
