gidgiddy: I laugh when I hear people thanking Gowon for abolishing the 4 Region's Nigeria had and creating states. These people think it was for their benefit but they are yet to understand that it was for the benefit of Gowon and his fellow Northern cohorts
These people never bothered to read the Decrees Gowon used in creating states to realise that Gowon not only gave the North half of the states he created, but that Gowon also abolished resource control and placed all resources in the hands of the Federal government. Gowon gave you states but took control of your resources, what's the point?
As for the war, These people do not also realise that it was Gowon who broke the peace agreement him and Ojukwu signed in Aburi, Ghana, which led to war
Ignorance is a terrible disease
Coming from erosion ravaged member, next time Igbo should focus only on Biafra cursed land.
naptu2: Video of the full military welcome ceremony for President Tinubu in Qatar.
We see the Audi A8 that’s carrying President Tinubu as it approaches the Amiri Diwan. Other vehicles in the motorcade wait on the road outside as President Tinubu’s car goes down the driveway into the Palace.
The Audi is escorted by troops on horseback and more troops on horseback form a guard of honour on the lawn on either side of the driveway.
The car reaches the Palace and President Tinubu alights and shakes hands with the Emir of Qatar.
Then there is the Royal Salute as the Nigerian and Qatari anthems are played. The parade commander then invites President Tinubu to inspect the guards and the President and the Emir go to inspect the troops.
Both heads of state are introduced to members of the two delegations and then the Emir leads President Tinubu into the Amiri Diwan for talks.
Burob: Nonsense analogy, take Cameroon as a case study, it borders Nigeria in West Africa, but actually like Biafra, it is in East Africa, & not a member of ECOWAS.
Cry cry people, they no wan give us nddc ice cream to lick.
No Igbo state should have been among nndc in the first place.
StarRida: That Akpabio of a senator must pass that bill other members state of NNDC are they not collecting 13% derivation from federal government this is pure wickedness and marginalisation to Ndi -Igbo generally and it's unacceptable..
Including ondo, imo among nndc doesn't make them one.
Tellmeastory: Most developing countries like Nigeria have power supply issues.
It's important that even as we strive to address this knotty issue, we do not lose sight of the fact that it is not a uniquely Nigerian debacle, and is a challenge faced by just about every other developing nation, especially those approaching Nigeria's size and population.
Load shedding in India
''In 2022, the state of Rajasthan was forced to introduce load shedding for industrial and residential consumers as the country dealt with the worst power crisis it has seen in years. Parts of India experienced rolling blackouts for up to 10 hours or, in more remote areas, 12 hours a day. Damaging fuel shortages have resulted in the shutdown of three power plants in Punjab alone. Reuters predicts that India will continue experiencing widespread blackouts.''
''Pakistan continues to grapple with prolonged and unscheduled power cuts. The country’s severe electricity crisis has hit both rural and urban areas with Karachi experiencing no power for up to 15 hours and Lahore going without power for nearly 12 hours. Although officials had announced a plan to conserve energy, there does not seem to be any reprieve from prolonged darkness.''
Load shedding in Lebanon
''Lebanon is another country that has been plagued with widespread blackouts. This is a result of an economic crisis that the World Bank has dubbed as one of the “most severe crisis episodes globally since the mid-nineteenth century”.
Fuel shortages and, according to the New York Times, a “dysfunctional” energy sector are to blame for the power cuts. Similar to the situation in South Africa, power outages are simply a part of Lebanese life. In the last year, these issues have resulted in state-supplied electricity only coming on for one or two hours a day........''.
''Sri Lanka has been experiencing months of daily power cuts amid an economic crisis, which famously saw thousands of protestors storming the president’s home.
The breakdown of a hydropower plant and lack of diesel fuel has led to an increase in load shedding episodes. Currently, Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) cannot meet the country’s electricity demand due to an islandwide lack of electricity supply.''
Load shedding in South Africa
''South Africa has been load shedding for 14 years. 2022 has seen its biggest power crisis reaching up to stage six of its rolling blackout system. Businesses are experiencing power cuts for up to six hours a day and have been warned to expect load shedding for another two to three years. There are two main reasons for load shedding in South Africa. The first is the lack of installed electricity generation capacity that cannot meet the demand, outlined in this article. The next problem is that the available energy is far below the demand for electricity, which is why load shedding occurs.''

gaby: Do you guys know that no single one of the current and past leaders of Israel is from the region or the current land they occupy and claim as there's?
From Himon Perez, Ariel Sharon, to Benjamin Netanyahu. They are all from either Poland, Ukraine, Morocco, Netherlands, etc.
And then most of these soldiers are "privileged kids" from mainly the U.S. Who claim to be Zionists fighting for their Zionist beliefs and heritage.
The more you know about the current Israel, the angrier you get at their oppression.
* Do not confuse Zionists with the original Jews who are never in support of these Zionist's actions.
They are not the real natives Jews/Israel, they are European.
cjudy: Houthi that’s collecting wotowoto everyday from USA. Dey play. The media are hiding it because it’s USA, if it’s Israel or Russia, they will publish and be shouting
