It can only be done in Nigeria immigration service head quaters in Abuja.you ll need the following documents...
1)Data page of the former passport
2)Affidavit of change of name
3)Excerpt of Newspaper publication containing change of name.
4)A fee for change of data (I m not sure of the official amount )
5)Marriage certificate

Abuja straight. I also tried to get around changing it in lagos without success. believe me if it's possible to change name without getting to Abuja I would have, so don't even try other offices cos you may just fall into the wrong hands. please try to go on a Thursday cos I was told it's an Irish firm that handles it and they only come twice a week. I can't remember the other day, but I went on a Thursday. of course you should go with your change of name documents and I think they also requested for sworn Affidavit. Happy married life to the newly married

You have to visit the immigration office in Abuja, with ur passport, marriage certificate, change of name proof in the newspaper, birth certificate and some cash..... When ready hla at me I know someone that can do it for you.

you are wrong. She will have to go to Abuja for any correction,lost passport or change of any name. She may not have to go IF HER PREVIOUS PASSPORT IS NOT E-PASSPORT. I did mine in Abuja.

The problem with the e-passport is that it reproduces the exact data you have in the previous passport, the only thing that changes is the date of re-issue and expiry.

How does he get the wrongly entered date of birth corrected? I think that's his question.
