Biiiiiiiiigggggg Liiiiiiiieeeeeeee. Thank GOD I can testify to this, its a big fallacy. There is no doubt that there has been atleast 16hrs of power supply in awka south, but for the past 3weeks, power supply has been the worst in awka south, there was a time in the last 3weeks, there was no power supply for three days. The said weeks has been the worst of power supply in awka south. Do I need to talk about awka north, Where there has been no power supply for the past 3months, not even for a second. If not for the youths of mgbakwu and isu aniocha that protested lastweek thursday before power was restored for he first time in over 3months. Since then, all together, we have not enjoyed light upto 14hrs. This is a sincere situation of the power supply in awka north as I type now. |

Top of the day to my fellow nairalanders, there is no doubt that Almighty GOD has blessed us with abundance of fruits on this earth. Some of them are loved by all, some are loved by few. Fruits generally are taken because we believe its Good for the body, but little do we know of the nutritonal health benefits each fruits contain. Lately, I have suddenly lost appetite for mango, that I don't even give a damn about it, even if given for free, but after going through this article, I have changed my attitude towards this blessed fruit, read through and mango might just be the fruit you need. The Health Benefits of Mango: 1. Prevents Cancer: Research has shown antioxidant compounds in mango fruit have been found to protect against colon, breast, leukemia and prostate cancers. These compounds include quercetin, isoquercitrin, astragalin, fisetin, gallic acid and methylgallat, as well as the abundant enzymes. 2. Lowers Cholesterol: The high levels of fiber, pectin and vitamin C help to lower serum cholesterol levels, specifically Low-Density Lipoprotein (the bad stuff) 3. Clears the Skin: Can be used both internally and externally for the skin. Mangos clear clogged pores and eliminate pimples. (Read more on page 5.) 4. Eye Health: One cup of sliced mangoes supplies 25 percent of the needed daily value of vitamin A, which promotes good eyesight and prevents night blindness and dry eyes. 5. Alkalizes the Whole Body: The tartaric acid, malic acid, and a trace of citric acid found in the fruit help to maintain the alkali reserve of the body. 6. Helps in Diabetes: Mango leaves help normalize insulin levels in the blood. The traditional home remedy involves boiling leaves in water, soaking through the night and then consuming the filtered decoction in the morning. Mango fruit also have a relatively low glycemic index (41-60) so moderate quantities will not spike your sugar levels. 7. Improved Sex: Mangos are a great source of vitamin E. Even though the popular connection between sex drive and vitamin E was originally created by a mistaken generalization on rat studies, further research has shown balanced proper amounts (as from whole food) does help in this area. 8. Improves Digestion: Papayas are not the only fruit that contain enzymes for breaking down protein. There are several fruits, including mangoes, which have this healthful quality. The fiber in mangos also helps digestion and elimination. 9. Remedy for Heat Stroke Juicing the fruit from green mango and mixing with water and a sweetener helps to cool down the body and prevent harm to the body. From an ayurvedic viewpoint, the reason people often get diuretic and exhausted when visiting equatorial climates is because the strong “sun energy” is burning up your body, particularly the muscles. The kidneys then become overloaded with the toxins from this process. 10. Boosts Immune system The generous amounts of vitamin C and vitamin A in mangos, plus 25 different kinds of carotenoids keep your immune system healthy and strong. calaharry: Based on objectivity devoid of religious sentiment, it is clear dt this girl is still under tutelage at 25yrs, her edu background is still shallow as she cannot be left alone to make decision on her own without her parents or guardian. Therefore as her frame of mind is not fully formed enough to assert dt nobody forced her, because she is just basking in her naivety, she should be rtnd to her parents to complete her tertiary edu to be able to make informed decision on which religion to follow. And her parent must see her case as a learning kid without confrontation.Hello, please you are saying that for anyone to make a right decison, the person must be a gradute!!!, this is interesting, then you must be inferring that your fore fathers that were without education has been making wrong decisons althrough their lives till the first person In whatever generation in your family that became a graduate right? This is absurd. Smh |
pammusphy: I thank God i left islam because i found the truth in Jesus..."Christian Jesus." Just imagine, she thinks it's the same God. What a fib!Whats in ablution...? Just skin washing and thinking you've been purified, while "within is rotten and vile." But you cannot wash the heart; CAN YOU?? only the blood of Jesus can!. Now my question to you is, what is in blood of Jesus? Just mere words coming out from the mouth, atleast you can see the water we use for making spiritual cleansing which Jesus Christ also performed, can you show me the blood of Jesus, if you can, then you can convince me. |
Inioluwa280: which kind rubbish u dey talk allah ko jallah ni,na only God,G.O.D i knw,he dn cum dy tak nnsens he no go beta 4 u and ur ramadan......mtcheew.....oloshi!!!Your GOD is yours, and Allah is the GOD of all mankind including prophet Isa(Jesus)ASW, there is no compulsion in Islam, to you is your religion while to me is my religion, u have proven to be unintelligent n immature on issues that borders religion. At 25, aisha has made her decision, you should not insult peoples belief because it doesn't conform with yours. Regardless of your insult on muslims and the holy month of ramadhan, Allah will reward us abundantly. Ameen |

Let me start with myself first. I came across nairaland sometimes in 2007, when I was always visiting the cafe for browsing cheats and admission news. Mostimes the hits google gives me are always linked to nairaland, that was how I got to know about nairaland. |
Good morning to all nairalanders at home and in diaspora. Nairaland has been an integral part of our lives, it has become a website that projects the nigerian affairs to the world at large, some citizens of other countries have associated themselves as a citizen of Nigeria through nairaland. Also it has been reported to be among the top three(3) most visited websites in Africa which is a great achievement to seun n his team mates. So, this has made me curious to know how nairalanders came across this tiwa ni tiwa(our own) website. Could it be through friends, family, search engines etc. Feel free to tell us how, its going to be fun althrough. |
